full toss outside off stump, missed attempt at a yorker.

Carter misses it

Cruel game indeed.

Pleased my statistical work was accurate. Hampshire ran to sixes expectation, Warwickshire above but we got home.

and got a tikay special price too.

Michael van Gerwen @ 80/1 with Betfred to win the 2013 World Darts Championship seems rather large to me on the back of his World Matchplay form and his floor form this year.  He won todays Protour event averaging 107+ in the final and was his 3rd win of the year.  After being distinctly average for a few years he seems to have finally clicked and is starting to produce the form he threatened to when he was 17.

Very unlucky.

That was a ridiculous finish - four horses separated by about a neck.

I was on Simenon, who couldn't get out to challenge.

If I'm right in saying, Fred's done ok today, considering the start...?

Just woken up, so not sure what day it is yet, but considering the start, yes, could have been worse, think we are about £60 down at present.

We still have a semi-Banzai Rugby League bet to come.

Not good, but could have been a lot worse.

The Ice Cream van is busy today.

Just woken up, so not sure what day it is yet, but considering the start, yes, could have been worse, think we are about £70 down at present.

Not quite a "million pound bonfire" I hope.*

Not obscure to you old-timers Ralph, but definitely apt.

Good spot Sir.

KLF made money for a short while with the ice cream business. When the market changed, the band was forced to go back to the heavyweight jam business, if memory serves.

^^^^^

You seem to be forgetting, no doubt mainly due to the distration tactic of a relentless tirade of methusalah jibes which I would have thought a man of the world such as yourself would have seen through, that I am in fact far younger than tikay.

I am justified and he is ancient.

To the bridge, to the bridge...

I get the sense Alistair Hunter who does the rugby at Sporting Index is on the other side of our Wakefield bet.  That is generally not a good thing.
