Daily Report as @ 0655, Monday September 17th
We lost £80 yesterday.
Add that to the £105 loss on Saturday and it equals a pretty poor effort this weekend.
We only placed one new bet yesterday, which was a season-long "Top Goalscorer" thing.
Three bets completed yesterday, all lost.
In the Women's Golf, Catriona Matthews had a superb last round in truly horrible conditions, to end up joint 10th, which was a splendid effort considering she was in such poor shape after her first round, when she shot a 76.
The winner was Jiyai Shin, who was quite outstanding, & battered the field into submission, winning by an amazing NINE shots from a competitive field. She seems most likeable – easy to smile, deferential, & awesomely talented.
She is the World # 1, unsurprisingly, as this was her 10th LPGA victory, to add to 5 on the Japanese Tour, 2 on the Asian Tour, & 21 (!) on the Korea Tour.
If the stories are true, her golf career started in a rather macabre way. Her mum was killed in a car accident, & the money from the insurance payout was used to pay for Miss Shins early golf career.
She seems to earn around $1,000,000 per year on the circuit. Nice.

We lost a Banzai Fiver on a Leicester City FGS.
To complete 2 bad days, we got the wrong side of the total points line in the NFL last night, on the Steelers – Jets game. Harumph.
Fred had no interest, but what about young Amendola for the Rams last night? After a season on the IR, he had 12 catches before the 2nd quarter ended, & with the betting line at 57.5, he received for 160 yards. MBN to have been on him.

What’s coming up?
Champions League football returns this week, but for tonight, is it Premier League, featuring Everton v Newcastle.
http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/everton-v-newcastle/winner
We already have a tip for Everton from geordieneil, who points out that Newcastle have a severely depleted squad for this. Krul, Coloccini, Simpson, Taylor & Tiote will all be absent, whilst Everton have Gibson awol.
geordieneil suggested we invested a gazillion, at the very minimum.
Everton are around 5/6.
Fred fans will have fond memories of the last time we followed Everton.

The ones that got away.
Yesterday morning, Doobsy, who gave us Danedream for a big win earlier this year, (not forgetting Chelsea to bash up Barca) posted this…..
It is arc trials today. Building up for the arc proper, where thread's favourite racehorse, Danedream, will be on show. I am guessing the japanese horse wins the prix foy and moonlight cloud wins the moulin.
I am a big fan of Shareta in the prix vermeille at longchamp. Ties up with the Danedream form, and think Galikova is a bit overated. Best price is 9/2. Any thoughts, horseplayer? Anyone?
Shareta comfortably won the Prix Vermeille by 2 lengths @ 5/2.
Meanwhile, photo-bloke Tonji delivered this purler on 7th September…..
Cycling closer to home. The Tour of Britain starts on Sunday 9th to the 16th.
Sky team has Wiggins & Cavendish, both shortish priced & no value as both are really using the tour as a training run for the Worlds the following week.
Value bet is Jonathan Tiernen-Locke. Riding for Endura Racing they have just returned from high altitude training & are the only strong team to have ambitions for overall General Classifications. He has had a strong season with three tour wins. Currently 2nd on UCI European tour rankings.
I have had a tenner at 14/1 with Hills, its now 10/1 but still value.
It was 5/1 when I tried to get on, so we left it. Tiernen-Locke, inevitably, crushed it.

Mr Tikay. You had a tip a last week for Sri Lanka to score the most 6's in the T20 world cup, but I can't remember who from. This is a market that I had already decided that Fred should enter as it will be 3 weeks of bashing fun. I think that the e/w part of the Sri Lanka bet has a chance as they have home advantage and if they can progress a long way in the tournament then they will play a significant number of matches but I do not think that their strike rate for 6's is good enough to win this market.
To my mind there are 3 possible winners of this market- India, West Indies and Australia. My analysis is never as detailed as Henrik but I trust my gut instinct and what I have seen in the IPL. I have to discount West Indies as they will be relying too much on Gayle and I also have a feeling that if there is a shock result in the group stages then it will be Ireland to beat the West Indies. I am going to avoid India because the standard of the Indian bowling in the IPL was universally awful. Admittedly this could mean India have bigger totals to chase so may hit more 6's but they may lose out in the 1/4, or semi finals.
Australia have 3 of the most destructive batsmen around in Warner, Watson and White, and 2 of them open the innings which is great news. The rest of the batsmen also hit big. In the last match v New Zealand they hit 6 6's in a total of 139 and then bowled out NZ for 83 and 2 6's. In the match before that they scored 168 v Pakistan with 12 6's and bowled Pakistan out for 74 with 5 6's.
You should judge the other recommendation on it's merit but I would like to recommend £20 win Australia to hit the most 6's @ 11/2 William Hill or Blue Square.

Thanks Ralph.
Lol, love "Seoul Sisters"!
Her Bio needs updating, too - she has now won the Ricoh British Open TWICE.
What a talent. I'm so glad you gave us a tip for the Tourney, or I would not have watched it. She is simply amazing, & could out-putt most male Pros, from what I could see. Lovely smooth & "soft" swing, too.

Morning hector.
I can't remember, either, I best go have a rummage.
I'll deal with your suggestion (which I muchly like) seperately.

I like the analysis behind Hector's sixes bet and agree that the value comes from the Windies being vulnerable to an early exit and also Chris Gayle over-shortening the price.
I'm on for (hopefully) a good tourney sweat.

Tip for T20 cricket world cup
I've been looking at the top bat market for the world cup and in the warm ups Virat Kohli is seeing the ball like a watermelon. He's in the form of his life, comes in at three for the favourites (and Sehwag normally makes a brisk 30 and departs) and likes the conditions. In today's final warm up he's currently 66 off 41 balls.
Gayle is favourite for this market but I'd much rather have Kohli at 14-1 than Gayle at 6-1 and it's a bet which should maintain interest over the course of the tournament.
Recommendation: Virat Kohli to be top batsman in World T20 at 14-1

I have to disagree with this. Windies are on form this year, and if there is any team that are vulnerable to an early exit it is Australia. Halfway through their T20 series with Pakistan they were ranked BELOW Ireland in the T20 rankings!
They have been wretched in this format, seemingly unsure how to pace their innings. I agree Watson and Warner are destructive though, and if they get through then they will be a decent shout for most

Crikey, I never realised this started today!
This'll make a lovely sweat at little cost.
Three matches are shown on Oddschecker as "in-running" already - are they "warm-ups", or T20 World Cup proper?
Anyway, we have £20 win @ 11/2 with Blue Square, Australia to hit most sixes.
Note we already have Malinga as Top Sri Lanka Bowler, so that's two T20WC bets now, with more soon.
