Think it starts tomorrow - there are a few warm-up games today I think.
Looking forward to it - my favourite cricket event of the year

Mr Tikay. You had a tip a last week for Sri Lanka to score the most 6's in the T20 world cup, but I can't remember who from. This is a market that I had already decided that Fred should enter as it will be 3 weeks of bashing fun. I think that the e/w part of the Sri Lanka bet has a chance as they have home advantage and if they can progress a long way in the tournament then they will play a significant number of matches but I do not think that their strike rate for 6's is good enough to win this market.
To my mind there are 3 possible winners of this market- India, West Indies and Australia. My analysis is never as detailed as Henrik but I trust my gut instinct and what I have seen in the IPL. I have to discount West Indies as they will be relying too much on Gayle and I also have a feeling that if there is a shock result in the group stages then it will be Ireland to beat the West Indies. I am going to avoid India because the standard of the Indian bowling in the IPL was universally awful. Admittedly this could mean India have bigger totals to chase so may hit more 6's but they may lose out in the 1/4, or semi finals.
Australia have 3 of the most destructive batsmen around in Warner, Watson and White, and 2 of them open the innings which is great news. The rest of the batsmen also hit big. In the last match v New Zealand they hit 6 6's in a total of 139 and then bowled out NZ for 83 and 2 6's. In the match before that they scored 168 v Pakistan with 12 6's and bowled Pakistan out for 74 with 5 6's.
You should judge the other recommendation on it's merit but I would like to recommend £20 win Australia to hit the most 6's @ 11/2 William Hill or Blue Square.
Going with this as well for a small sweat.
I see Hussey just hit 5 sixes in the warm up game against us, and also Maxwell ( who played well for Hants in T20 this year) is a newcomer to the squad..... and he tends to only deal in 6's

Thanks.
Surprised there is a Betting Market for "warm up" matches, all things considered.

Ha - true. Although the number of official matches chucked down the years I'm not sure it makes much difference

and I see Laddies (5/1) and Paddy 9/2) are doing e/w 1/5 odds on first 3, for those super nitty.

Wouldn't lay me the price. Offered 4/6. When I played dumb and said, "isn't that quite a bit lower" he replied "not really".
So I guess we were each trying to con the other. My price wasn't advertised though...

max £110 at 10/11 in the shops
i suggest that Tikay visits as many shops as possible after his afternoon nap and then lays on bf at 1.62.
is Fred allowed to be a dirty arber?
not my kind of thing but there are 3 shops on my drive home and i just happen to have a few quid in my betfair account.

Tip for T20 cricket world cup
I've been looking at the top bat market for the world cup and in the warm ups Virat Kohli is seeing the ball like a watermelon. He's in the form of his life, comes in at three for the favourites (and Sehwag normally makes a brisk 30 and departs) and likes the conditions. In today's final warm up he's currently 66 off 41 balls.
Gayle is favourite for this market but I'd much rather have Kohli at 14-1 than Gayle at 6-1 and it's a bet which should maintain interest over the course of the tournament.
Recommendation: Virat Kohli to be top batsman in World T20 at 14-1
Thanks Mr Dung.
We managed to beat 14/1, too. 16/1 IS better than 14/1, right?

Bristol City to score 4+ at the mighty Posh tomorrow night - 14-1 with Hills.
Posh are an absolute shambles at the moment. Nil points from five games and it's looking like getting worse before it gets better.
We were lucky to only concede five at Burnley at the weekend and it all falling apart. The chairman is having a flounce and reviewing his position. Fergie is telling the world his players aren't good enough. The Daragh-Darren relationship is stressy at the best of times.
I've never known a Posh side give up under Fergie but heads have been dropping this season. I fancy we've bought in one too many problem kids. Fergie has said he always has a good dressing room but it defo isn't at the moment.
Zakuani (captain) was dropped at the weekend. Brisley isn't good enough and Mark Little isn't a defender. And the new keeper has made plenty of mistakes already.
Brizzle are never 14-1 to put a hatful past us the way things are at the moment. The layers don't take into account enough the two teams playing when setting under/over goal market for home or away. Brizzle are 7-4 to win the match, ergo they are 14-1 to score 4+. I wouldn't want to lay bigger than 6-1.
Sam Baldock almost signed for us last summer but Fergie didn't like his attitude at the interview. He'll have a point to prove, as will Adomah, who was supposed to join for ages but never did.
For the record I'll be standing in the away end and anti-railing Posh. Sigh.
