It is interesting but almost totally irrelevant to the game tonight imo.

Arsenal drifted to 2.4 on Betfair, any views?  I like it but that doesn't say much.

My boys Watford are having trouble at the back at the moment and I can't see things improving in time for Tuesday.  They sold Martin Taylor to Sheff Wed and replaced him with flair centre backs such as the Brazilian Neuton  who seemed somewhat bemused by a trip to Bolton on Saturday.  The hornets have shipped a number of set piece goals in defeats at Derby and Bolton and the understanding isn't there yet for the team in general.  I do expect the team to improve, but a game at home to Brighton is likely to come to soon.  Zola has little idea what his best team is yet as he continues to assess the new arrivals.

15/8 seems too big to me on the visitors.  Brighton have won 3 in a row by an aggregate of 11-2 and will fancy continuing that against unsettled hosts, who are likely to have the crowd on their back if they fall behind.

Recommend Brighton to beat Watford at 15/8 on Tuesday night.

I missed the price by a goodly bit, so really ought to leave this one, but it looks pretty good to me. I've risked the wrath of those who know better & had £40 @ 13/8.

£40 @ 13/8 (Ladbrokes) Brighton to beat Watford tonight.

Brighton game

i am more than happy to back up the brighton bet

I am not sure whether sheff wed were bad or brighton were good but they were very very impressive

three (i no i no) prices stick out in the goalscorer markets

dean hammond 20-1 (various) wayne bridge 50-1 (powder power) and bruno 50-1 (spoilsports)

all three went close last week and bridge obviously got the first goal.

Bruno created various chances and had three shots himself (two one on ones for hammond)

fiver on each please

Thanks horsey.

3 Banzais for £15? Awesome.

Brighton v Watford, £5 FGS Bruno Saltor (Boyles), £5 FGS Dean Hammond (Bet365), £5 FGS Wayne Bridge (PaddyPower).

Bristol City to score 4+ at the mighty Posh tomorrow night - 14-1 with Hills.

Posh are an absolute shambles at the moment. Nil points from five games and it's looking like getting worse before it gets better.

We were lucky to only concede five at Burnley at the weekend and it all falling apart. The chairman is having a flounce and reviewing his position. Fergie is telling the world his players aren't good enough. The Daragh-Darren relationship is stressy at the best of times.

I've never known a Posh side give up under Fergie but heads have been dropping this season. I fancy we've bought in one too many problem kids. Fergie has said he always has a good dressing room but it defo isn't at the moment.

Zakuani (captain) was dropped at the weekend. Brisley isn't good enough and Mark Little isn't a defender. And the new keeper has made plenty of mistakes already.

Brizzle are never 14-1 to put a hatful past us the way things are at the moment. The layers don't take into account enough the two teams playing when setting under/over goal market for home or away. Brizzle are 7-4 to win the match, ergo they are 14-1 to score 4+. I wouldn't want to lay bigger than 6-1.

Sam Baldock almost signed for us last summer but Fergie didn't like his attitude at the interview. He'll have a point to prove, as will Adomah, who was supposed to join for ages but never did.

For the record I'll be standing in the away end and anti-railing Posh. Sigh.

Thanks Mr W.

I'm a bit to nitty to go the 4 goals route, & I'm confused by your correlation between 7/4 to win, & 14/1 to score 4, though I'm sure you are correct. Probably.

So I've opted for the safe route, & had £50 @ 9/5 with BetVictor. Hours of research convinces me that 9/5 beats your 7/4. Probbly.

Bristol City to beat Peterborough, £50 @ 9/5, BetVictor.

Good news about Mendis, thanks.

City away to Madrid? Not got to that yet.

Plenners thinks City are MASSIVE @ that price. (Looks good to me too).

However, TAFKASYAAP (The Artist Formerly Known As Sir You Are A Prick) & now as TAFKAYAAP would not touch 5/1 Man City with a bargepole apparently, for which there has been general concurness.

Several suggestions of Man City Evens @ +1, or 10/11 DNB are currently exercising & exciting me in equal parts.

Basically, I'm confused & undecided at present. IF we do anything, it will be one of the alternative suggestions - +1, or DNB.

Little bit of a mini-Banzai bet on tomorrow's India/Afghanistan T20 game.

Despite their outsider status Afghanistan do like to throw the bat about and are good at hitting sixes - they hit 13 in their warmup against Sri Lanka A on Saturday (against Sri Lanka's 3) and were only outscored 5-4 by the Windies in their other warm-up.

Bwin are out of line in offering 11/2 on the Afghans to hit more sixes (that I've had a piece of) but if Fred doesn't have a Bwin account then 4/1 is generally available.

Can lay Real Madrid at 1.58 on betfair.  We do a win if it is a draw or Man City win.

Thanks Andrew. Amazed you could find a stat like that.

Afghanistan play cricket? THE Afghanistan? Wow.

Got to have some of that.

We have £20 @ 11/2 with BWin, the Afghan Houndos to have most sixes v India, T20WC tomorrow.

How much would you suggest, Doobs? Spell it out for me please. S L O W L Y.

That does look a better route. Don't want to risk more than around £40 or £50 though.

Mendis bowling like a demon, helped by the fact that there are 2 Mendisis, but Fred has invested in Malinga. Only 6 wickets  behind Ajantha Mendis, and 3 behind Jeevan Mendis.

UCI World Championship Elite Men Individual Time Trial. Limburg, The Netherlands. Wednesday 19th September. 45.7 km.

Without Wiggins, Froome & Cancellera the field is lacking quality. The following four should feature strongly.

Favourite is Tony Martin (Germany). A time trial specialist. Has had a quiet season due to injuries. Silver in Olympics TT means he’s near top form. However the back end of course is not to his liking, too technical & lumpy. Price too short @ around 4/6.

Alberto Contador (Spain). Should be fresh after the Vuelta & has targeted this. Tweets have been positive! OK price @ 4/1. I’ve had £10.00.

Fredrik Kessiakoff, Swedish rider in his first year on the world tour with 2 big TT wins including the Vuelta. On this course I don‘t see him beating Contador, but current form unknown. Available @ 9/1.

Tejay van Garderen, American. Quiet year, but interviews suggest he has targeted the Worlds, & he likes his chances. Rode exceptionally strong in the Team Time Trial a few days ago, pulling away from his team mates. I have had £5.00 EW @ 18/1 yesterday, today 16/1.

Will be live on Eurosport.

Tips for Sundays Road Race later in week.

Thanks Tonji.

I'm really not sure how best to execute this, but I need to press on, so we've got the following.....

Contador, £20 WIN @ 9/2, Ladbrokes.

Kessiakoff, £10 WIN @ 9/1, Blue Square

Garderen, £5 EW @ 16/1, Blue Square.

Stan James appear to be a bit out of line with Celtic at home to Benfica @ 31/10  everywhere else between 5/2 and 11/4.

Benfica sold 2 of their best players in the summer, Javi Garcia to City and Witzel went to Russia. Their captain Luisao has been confirmed out suspended for pushing a ref, they have only played 3 competitive games so far this season the last being a fortnight ago.

Celtic will miss Samaras and Ledley and league form has been very poor  however we have won all 4 CL qualifying games albeit against weaker teams than Benfica.

I'll admit I haven't watched Benfica since they lost to Chelsea in the CL quarters last season when they looked very decent but over 3/1 feels too big, only Barcelona (twice) have ever won at Celtic Park in the CL  in 20 games  played. That stat may look irrelevant for tomorrow but it emphasises how Celtic have been able to use home advantage against better teams.

Could be worth a mini banzai  £20.

VERY confused by all those Mendisises, but overall, this was a bad start for us, yes?

Are we sure they are not all the same bloke?
