morning all
oddschecker has changed this morning
like many things that change it leaves a feeling of oooooooo and possibly a bit of arghhhhhhhh
for a day or so then it will be like an old pair of slippers again
Yes. Too early to make a judgement yet. We never like it when things are moved around in Supermarkets at first either.....
I understand a great deal of planning, thought & effort went into it.
Need to "have a play" on it first, really.
PS - Thank you for your e-Mail last night.

I think there is value in the World Tour Finals of the ATP which starts at the 02 this week.
Paris last week was bizarre, with a huge number of upsets as players had their eyes on this week. David Ferrer won it, but his semi/final opponents were wildcard Michael Llodra and qualifier Jerzy Janowicz which tells a story. Indeed the fact that he has won back to back in the last 2 weeks is enough to discount Ferrer for me as he may be overcooked, and faces a big step up here.
The man I want to get with is Juan Martin Del Potro at 10/1. He is in the easier group (Federer, Tipsarevic , Ferrer) and I would expect him to come through this group. Indeed he beat Federer a couple of weeks back in the final at the Swiss indoor event (and of course this one is also an indoor event).
On the other side, Andy Murray is obviously a big threat at home, whilst Novak Djokovic seems understandably distracted by the poor health of his father after losing to Sam Querrey in Paris after winning the first 8 games of the contest. Tsonga and Berdych are clearly a threat when “on it” but Del Potro is more consistent than this pair.
I think 10/1 or better is value for a bit of tennis interest for the week ahead. The action starts this afternoon, but Delpo doesn’t play till tomorrow so a while for Fred to chew the fat on this one.

Here we go again.
Tip for me:
First goalscorer for
Sheffield Wednesday
at home to Blackpool on Tuesday night to be
Michail Antonio.
It looks like a game that is going to have a few goals with both knocking a few in & both being a bit loose at the back. Michail is about 5th Sheff Wed favourite to get the first goal at
11/1
with William Hill.
The guy is by far our best player and is among the goals in quite a few matches, in fact he is our second top goalscroer with 4 goals (maybe actual top goalscorer, as not sure if site has updated his goal on Saturday) and is a livewire every game. He always gets oppurtunites within most games & the last game the had 3 good chances, coverting one. Let it be said, he is an attacking right winger & definitely our spark within the team. I expect us to line up the same way on Tuesday and Chris O'Grady to be up up front with Bothroyd (he has been absolute useless) and just having seen Blackpool game, I see they have been cut through the middle a few times, definitely oppurtunities there for Antonio.
11's is a cracking price, because I am not sure William Hill are up to date on our team according to their odds:
Chris O'Grady (11/2)- Top goalscorer, which is surprising as me is more of an assist striker, but has played a lot more than others.
Bothroyd (11/2) - Been useless so far, one goal.
Gary Madine - Not starting!
Rodri (7/1) - Not starting!
Pecnik (7/1) - LOL at this price, not starting and Barkley & Antonio are well in front of him
Michail Antonio (11/1)
Ross Barkley (12/1) - Might also be worth a punt, considering he has been knocking a few in, but Antonio definitely for me.
Rec £10 e/w
Thanks Aaron.
He is actually available at 12/1 in three spots.

To be fair to Aaron, when I looked earlier 11s was the best price. Guess some bookies were missing?
The win bet looks reasonable if what Aaron says is correct, but if you back the place part it is better to go the anytime route. I think hills were 1/5 th the odds the place which looked terrible vs the 4/1 anytime they were offering.

One thing I noticed with the "new" Oddschecker this morning is that parts of it load very slowly, & only some prices & bookies populate instantly, the rest take a while. Probably down to the Broswer I use.

I think this may have been missed today, but it appears the thread has another winner....As our friends at Paddy Power have decided to payout early on Obama winning the presidential election. I believe the bet was placed with them, so congrats to Mr Tikay for pulling the trigger....

Morning Fellaini.
No, it was mentioned on thread, but I had quite forgotten that our bet was indeed with Paddy Power, so I went to "My Account", & this is what I found.....

I am on the phone and can see no difference in oddschecker. Just went looking for the 12s and it is still 11 best price on the app!

Ahh, yes, that would make sense - it was incredibly slow.

One for consideration for Tuesday. Darius Henderson to score anytime at Watford for Millwall at 7/4 or better. Darius used to play for us and is a really big mean centre forward who is good in the air and has eye for goal.
The Watford boys are improving, but we have had any number of disasters this year defending in the air. Hoban is a real prospect but is very inexperienced, Hall is much needed in this game but can’t do it all by himself, and the full backs are ball players (Poodle and Casetti) who are relatively poor in the air for all their skill on the ball.
I expect Watford to win despite Millwall’s strong form, but I think Henderson will really cause a lot of problems, and I imagine at some point we are bound to mess up as we usually do and let him have a free header.

..and belatedly, I just got this e-Mail from Mr P Power.....
Username: xxxxxx
Dear Tony,
Commentators from both sides continue to say that the US election tomorrow is still wide open and that every last vote will count. However, Paddy Power believes that it's already a done deal and that Obama has done enough to win a second term.
As a result, we have paid out on your bet early. We will continue to offer betting on the Election right through Election day, on a wide variety of markets .
The funds should already be in your account, you can check by logging in .
Best Regards,
The Team @ Paddy Power

Afternoon Mr T.
First off don't overlook the Del Potro suggestion put up by Mr Beetle as it looks good to me. Today I came across a tennis stats site that fits my needs perfectly. No doubt everyone else has been using it for ages but not Mr Ice cream here. Anyway here is the link for anyone who hasn't seen it before.
http://www.tennisexplorer.com
I have spent the morning mulling over a tennis bet for today's game between Murray and Berdych. Head to head Berdych leads 4-3, he recently won a tournament in Sweden played indoors, and the last time these 2 met indoors Berdych won. I think as usual the bookies here have Murray too short because they know that the Brits will back him regardless. I may be swayed against Murray as I had backed him to win his last tournament and he lost a match to a nondescript Pole despite having match point but I think anything at better than 2-1 is worth backing.
Suggest Berdych to beat Murray £20 @ 5-2 Boylesport.
It's on BBC2 as well so I can get to watch Mr Miseryguts hopefully lose.
