Kuku must be as pleased as Punch.

Seattle, oooh.

Nearly.

At least we got the bet home tonight, pretty gutted they should have won easily there.

Oh yes - I clean forgot in all the excitement that Fred was on Seattle +3.5.

Why would they try an onside kick there ?

it was surely a mis kick and not intended to hit the guy, was trying to squib it past the Seattle players instead of kicking it deep and giving them a chance to return it but hit player instead.

Why would they not just boot it through the endzone for a touchback? Are they not allowed to do that there?

I don't know about the Texans tonight tbh.  As Neil points out the game in New England closed 6 but New England have a lot of advantages tonight they didn't have then.  Firstly, as Keith pointed out, Gronkowski is back and he is very important for Pats.  Secondly, New England have had a weeks extra rest and I think that is worth more for them than any other team simply because they are coached by Belichek.  Finally, they have so much more playoff experience and Belichek and Brady are just clinical in these situations.

Funking for Houston pretty strongly here.

San Fran will be about 13/8 if the Texans can pull off the upset.

They would if they could but if it doesn´t get there (and it probably wouldn´t) it puts the ball in the hands of an all time great returner.

yes, but he doesn't want to risk a long return if it does't go far enough

the aim is to squib it so a big ugly picks it up, but the ball slipped off the tee and it went 15 yards shorter than he intended

Surreal atmosphere at this game.

Crowd totally not into it and Pats totally flat.

If Foster gets rolling in the second half, this isn't over.

Morning, Fred.

Artsy fartsy nonsense, if you please:

Jessica Chastain won the Golden Globe for Best Actress overnight, although the odds-on favourite Jennifer Lawrence won in her "Musical or comedy" category, so still all to play for.

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/movies/news/a450680/argo-homeland-game-change-les-mis-lead-golden-globes-winners.html

(I should explain the Golden Globes split the acting awards into Drama and Musical/Comedy categories. Silver Linings Playbook is a comedy - if a Bradley Cooper film can be called that - so is split from the main group for the Globes but is back at the head of the pack for the Oscars)

Thank you Posh bloke, but with due gratitude to your time & care in informing us, I stopped reading after the highlighted part.
