well done tikay

are you going to be watching the match when you are able to from the beginning or from the point you reach it?

I'm afraid I will not be able to watch the first hour.

It starts at 11.30, & the Live Show ends at 11.55, & whilst I can keep an eye on the thread in the Studio, (hopefully the lads will keep it updated) I cannot reasonably watch the game & concentrate on what I am doing on the Show.

Allow 5 minutes to get the make-up off, & de-rig the Talkback & microphones,  & 25 minutes to get home, I should be in front of the TV by around 0030.

If the game had been an 6pm or 8.30pm start it would have been a disaster, so it's not so bad really.

Permission to email you during with "genuine" game updates?

"An email in here from Tal. He asks 'how should you play small pocket pairs under the gun early on in a tournament?' And then says 'Both teams have scored kickoff returns from the first two plays of the game'"

Ha!

Not sure that would get through. Wink

The e-Mails first get vetted by the Producer, & then go to the Presenter, I don't actually see the "incoming" on my Studio Ippy. Tonight's Presenter is a lovely chap, though, & you may manage a whoosh.

why did you not do Balt +4, play the middle and hope to scoop both ways when SF win by 3?

actually don't answer that, it doesn't matter. It's win win anyway

Enjoy the game

Can't believe I'm gonna say this.

Really like Aaron's rec on Bolton.

33-1 is way ool and should be a bigger bet than £5, I just tried to get on this and was offered 68p, local shop it is then.

Don't like the wolves bet nor price really though, just think it's a punt at the right price.

My point is, you should bet more on the bet where you are getting more value, just because something is 15-2 doesn't mean you have to bet double what you do on the 33-1 shot.

Always amazes me how people back big on shorter price shots-often with little value as the price is right, and less on big price basic ricks.

I don't qualify as an esteemed member/elder of fred, but if I did I'd advise at least another fiver on the 33's, probs more.

Won't last long, it's a price that needs to fall back into line with the general 16's.

In fact if anyone I know with a pp account can get on plse pm me and i'll bank transfer first for u to bet some for me.

I had lots of good advice, Rich, much of it conflicting, but I went with the advice I was given, for better or worse, & I'm happy enough.

I knew the moment I put the bet up the questions would come though!

If only you guys knew how confusing I find all this. I bet for 40 years on Fixed Odds in LBO's, thats all there was, & all this is a whole new world to me, I find it incredibly difficult to work it all out sometimes, so I trusted the advice I got.

Whatever the result, I'll not be looking over my shoulder, it is not like that for me.

It is a serious business this misc. betting Tal.  Was the 2nd most profitable "sport" last month. Even though thread missed it, the more Eagle eyed thread readers should already have the first leg in of the big misc. double this weekend.

Come on Michelle and Kelly, don't get coerced into appearing like a pair of backing singers.  Insist on your right as equal starus band members to wear the same colour.

Oh and good luck on the other bets on the more serious stuff tonight, even if the majority of thread readers are likely just tuning in for the half time show!

Backing ricks is also a great Account-Killer.

I'm happy with our £5, but good luck to those who bet more, & well done to Aaron for spotting it.

Yes, I'm aware of that! I have to make decisions with my money, & I thought they were two decent fun bets. Remember, others can back as much as they like. I get it wrong, quite often, but we enjoy ourselves in doing so.
