Nice to see some discussion & punting on my tips.
But the league tables like mentioned have messed up my mind a little as the tables was wrong in many places yesterday and earlier today. Nico asked if Wolves are a good price & I still think they are, but I was in the position of assuming they was in the bottom 3, but still a good price at 15/2 for a team just above relegation.
As someone else mentioned about Bolton, they are generally not that far away in games and their weekend game against Watford was another example of that, both set of fans agreeing that they was good value for a point. However as horsery said the table does not tell "whopping lies" & the reality is that Bolton are just hovering above it and Paddy Power are way out of order with their price. I'm happy to get on at 33's and still be of the opinion they will just do enough. £5 is enough for this sort of bet.
I am going to join you all watching the superbowl tonight, which will actually be my first time for "the greatest show on earth", but no punting, just going to enjoy the game. I wish you all the best of luck with the bets, but I have absolute no idea on what they all mean!

Italy beat France in the 6N
very very good news for the 6N bets we have
Italy less likely to finish bottom
France less likely to finish top....

I propose we grant Tighty and Camel, Senior Elder status!
Keep putting us in top positions. Great going Sirs!
Ha, Proposed & Passed a long time ago Adzy.
Camel was an orginal - like a Werthers Mint - & once it became clear to me (because I was "new" to all this) that Tighty would be consistently profitable, he became an Honorary Elder, of which we now have several.
I would rather spare their blushes if I may by not naming them, but their bets get automatically placed, & they help run the thread in many ways, by example, & no aftertiming or bad vibes, so much of the thread fun is down to them really.
The thread is, for the most part, an absolute delight, & tonight should be a tremendous celebration of the fun we have had. I'm more gutted at missing the thread banter in the build up to the game than the first hour of the game in some ways, this thread is so relaxing, away from all the hassle elsewhere.
I hope you enjoy tonight Adzy, & get the lot, too.
Next stop, Prestbury Park, all aboard......

Good Post Aaron, & thank you.
We are happy with our Relegation bets as they are so we have, we hope, a good sweat for a few months now. At £15, a bargain.
Hope you enjoy Superbowl tonight. The thread should be heaving.

Shame the Newcastle bet got the
treatment, maybe my fault for not making separate posts. No way Sissoko will ever be 25/1 again, loosk really dangerous, guessing the bookies hadn't seen much of him
tbf he has not scored many goals last two or so seasons
25-1 was a smidgen big but they would have just seen his 3 goals in his last 55 or so games nothing special for a midfielder
the fact he played more advanced was a good spot/educated guess though
3 in his last 45 and 20 in 180 in total, probably about due. I follow all the nufc journos on twitter so once the team was announced they basically tweeted it looked likely he'd be playing fairly adavanced. Defo value at anything over 14/16s in future games
Scored twice yesterday and neither was first goal. Reminds me of the time I backed Owen first and last goal when England played away in Germany. Abs thrilled to see big Emile dancing through near the end to make sure I won neither of them too. Love value pie me

Don't worry too much about stan james, absolute joke of a site which will restrict or close if you can spell your name correctly.Worth a quick glance every now and then at action man's post itt a few hundred pages back, pretty sure bobby1 elaborated on it too.
Def worth nurturing accounts with odd 'muggy' bets every now and then to throw them of the scent.
It was nothing short of a disaster for me. They mis-price a lot of markets, & if you do your homework on some of their obscure sub-markets there is money to be made from them. Eventually, they shut me, but the horse had bolted by then.
Oh without a doubt they make so many mistakes it's unreal.
Unforts it's prob almost impossible to keep an account with them longterm.
having a son over 18 who lives 100 miles away helps, but even better is having a couple of shops in the vicinity.
on the same topic i understand that Coral are tightening up in the shops, messing people about going to PTL for small bets
and grading clients on an amber/red system.
Coral shops are the absolute worst imo. I get a lot of my bets through a group of guys who every day move to a new location of shops and move money that way and we they have got to the point now where they say it is almost pointless trying to get a bet in a Corals shop these days.
You make a good point here reds.
In Sheffield there is a line of 3 bookies next to each other on Fitzallen Square. They are Coral, WH & Betfred. Corals definitely have most punters in, then Hills, then an empty Betfred. If I am in that corner of Sheffield I always bet with Coral as I find the other two shops have 'joker' staff.
However, only a couple of days ago I was punting away & this was mainly on horses. The man at the counter takes all my bets no problem, anything upto £100 a time, then I place a £70 win single bet with the lady behind the counter she stops, stares at the slip and says to the man "Is this alright?" I was left in dismay. The man cheekily replies "yes it's fine" but so disappointing to see this happen on a £70 bet. Not only was this just a £70 bet, but it wasn't a big odds horse either, so disappointing.
However I am of the feeling Hills are just the same.

For anyone that is thinking about hedging - you can now get evs on Betfair +4.5. I think the 49ers money is starting to really come now. Still think it'll move to 5 or 5.5, maybe even see some 6.

Thanks Neil, reds.
I'll try & keep an eye on that line, but it's not beyond the realms of possibility that I may indulge in a little more insurance if that line keeps moving that way.
Jeez, I'm jealous I'll miss all this pre-game stuff.

Cue comedy cheers when Michelle and Kelly turn up in matching outfits.
It is a serious business this misc. betting Tal. Was the 2nd most profitable "sport" last month. Even though thread missed it, the more Eagle eyed thread readers should already have the first leg in of the big misc. double this weekend.
Come on Michelle and Kelly, don't get coerced into appearing like a pair of backing singers. Insist on your right as equal starus band members to wear the same colour.
Oh and good luck on the other bets on the more serious stuff tonight, even if the majority of thread readers are likely just tuning in for the half time show!
I will prolly turn the TV off after Alicia Keys has finished.
About 3am then!

I've given up criticising this lot. Let's just funk together and get this won.
I'm looking forward to some King of Clubs mugs being made à la Ashley Giles
