Always assumed Doobs's moniker was a reference to this fellow:

Morning Mr T.

I loved your Jackdaw pictures.

On other matters today Scotland play Italy, for our Wales bet I think we would prefer a Scotland win but it is not a must. I think Italy are being over rated after a win against an imploding, lackadaisical, under prepared bunch of CESM's. But backing Scotland at odds on holds no appeal.

Instead I think I have found a decent value bet in the anytime try scorer market. I thought Italy looked poor defensively chasing their own kicks leaving huge amounts of space for the counter attack. Scotland have an astute coach who will have seen this and with Scotlands willingness to run the ball against England then I think there are tries to be had for Scotlands back 3. Of the 3 of them I think Stuart Hogg at fullback has the most appeal at the odds available.

Suggest Stuart Hogg to score a try at anytime £15 @ 10/3 Paddy Power or Ladbrokes.

Morning hector.

The Jackdaw photos - thank you! Doing stuff like that fill me with pleasure.

Love the thinking behind that bet, & we are on board.

We have £15 @ 0/30, Ladbrokes, Stuart Hogg to score a try v Italy.

The legend that is AP McCoy rides Open Day in the 12.55 at Warwick before flying to Newbury for the 3.00 and onwards races. Open Day is currently 3.7 on Betfair. Any views anybody?

I am backing Newcastle at 6.0 and laying Spurs (I laid 1.7 but it can be done at better).

Bit late to mention it I know but the theory is going around that Spurs depend heavily on Bale who had a tough match in the week while the Newcastle players who don't really play internationally were busy relaxing.

Personally I hadn't been looking during the week and I was just a bit surprised at the prices.

Would have happily bet them at 4/1.

We do rely on him when we have no strikers.

Edit: I timed that nicely!

As long as we have Naughton playing, I don't feel any confidence in our defence. Do see Newcastle scoring, but question now is whether they concede more.

Spurs aren't that good at home for some reason this year, we aren't the same side without Defoe and our key players have had a harder midweek so everything suggests 6.0 is big.

All the home fans want is for spurs to keep pushing forward and going for the throat against a vulnerable defence. If we sit back, it's a different game entirely and not one I will be enjoying.

I actually started writing that I liked unders and Newcastle in this game but got distracted and the game started.

Point proved. Gap behind Naughton. Too slow to react and 1-1.

I think Bale scored within 3 seconds of me pressing send. Feeling slightly happier now.

5/6 seems a reasonable lay for anyone who is thinking of playing. It is probably beytter than taking less than 6.0 at this stage.

I think our old mate The Giant Bolster is quite a good bet to win the Denman Chase at Newbury in a field that lacks depth. Obvioulsy with it being 8.0 on Betfair then 7/1 1/4 1,2,3 with B365 is an amazing bet for those who can get on and don't care about protecting their account.
