I don't think it is different. Underpinning all this, it is Tony's money either way, so we aren't talking about any financial adjustments to Tony's pocket here.
It is all about the openness and integrity of the Fred account
and the "proprietary" account (Tony's personal mad plunging account) doesn't really come into it afaics.
So..
Chompy suggests 5-0 P'boro @ 2/1. Tony misclicks and buys some beetroot online at Tescos instead. Result: The bet was accepted on the Fred account in good faith, pre-event, and the profits (or losses) are credited (debited) to the Fred account.
If the Fred account was owed by others, then yes it would be different and there would have to be an agreement as to if/when financial adjustments took place.
That nails it.
Mere - the bet should be recorded as £2.50 EW please, down to hector.

Why didn't Farage stand for UKIP?
We'd be having caviar and champagne for breakfast in Camel Towers this morning if he had I reckon.
You are probably right.

Brigham Young 65 Gonzaga 70
A really good win versus the Mormons of BYU in front of 19 thousand odd fans who were feeling decidedly unchristian for a couple of hours last night especially as there team made a late run to tie the game at 60 with 4 Min's left our lads did well to eek out a win in a raucous and hostile environment. the #3 team Duke lost @ Virginia so should we portland (and we should) on saturday our team will be ranked #1 for the 1st time in school history.

Are the 20 odd guests the odds setters for each of the oddschecker bookies??!!
I think some of our regulars are getting a little paranoid here.
The Online Betting business generates HUGE sums, & amounts of bets, daily. 50 or 100 Fred followers is not even pissing in the ocean, & Bookies have better things to do than monitor blonde. A "Top 5" Online bookmaker generates a 6 figure number of bets, for a 7 figure sum, every day of the week, more at weekends.
The "Guests" comprise regular lurkers, genuine Members who are not signed in, (quite a few do this), search engine bots, & banned Members. I'd be astonished if a single bookie of any note ever even knew, or cared, that Fred existed.

tikay, Bingham lost 5-0 to Higgins yesterday. You included -£5 in your Feb stats?
In the by-election the LD's lost 30% of their 2010 vote
The Tories lost 32%
The UKIP gained 672%
Such was the strength of the LD local campaign and the weakness/eccentricity of the Tory candidate, that only Nick Clegg sighted on prime time TV eating a baby would have swung it our way.
Bugger.
No Rich, I missed that completely, sorry.
I like the numbers to be spot on, but it is too late now, Mere is midway through his Monthly Report, so we'll have to put that one into March.
So, we start March £5 adrift. No worries, Cheltenham is round the corner, all that value, how can we lose?

You are probably right.
Farage is a more divisive figure than Diane James. This feels a bit like saying if only Ed Balls had stood for Labour. Everything I heard was that Diane James was a very good candidate and Maria Hutchings, well not so much.
Possibly right, but no more, and the chances of Farage standing was in the price we took?

I know its still quite early Tikay, but this was clearly a joke, in no way do I think bookies are rushing to the office to switch on TFT to make their job easier!

Ha, I got whooshed again.
But........there ARE Freddies who think the Bookies monitor this, I get PM's about it regularly. I won't embarrass the author, but one gentleman wrote to me a few days ago with THE most extraordinary conspiracy theory you ever heard, & his plans to combat it.
Anyway, apologies for my daily inbound whoosh, but I'm still reeling from the PM I mentioned.
I work for an Online Poker Site, as you know, so I should be used to conspiracy theories, but the folks that come up with this stuff never cease to amaze me. One day I'll tell you why (according to the conspiracy boys...) there is always a pause after the Turn Card, & before the River, when there is an all-in during Online Poker. Talk about a facepalm moment.....

Why are Watford odds-against at Wolves tonight?
We know the form and quality of both. If Wolves come on, Watford will crush them on the break as they do to a lot of teams away from home. If they sit back they can't win anyway
Coral 13/10 Watford looks a standout price to me
Having missed a couple of Watford versus lower teams recommendations on this thread, I think this game is a must.

That gives time for them to call the people in the river room to decide who is the most worthwhile customer. I assumed this was common knowledge.

If that is a Recommend, how much are you suggesting, Rich?
FWIW (bugger all) I have made this bet off-thread already, I got on at 11/8 earlier in the week.

I noted I had missed the price a bit.
Did my usual "what price should this be?" came up with Evens at worst, and then looked at Oddschecker.....
£40 or so? If I had seen 11/8, I'd be pretty gung ho about it
