I dunno if anyone is following the next Pope betting but there has been a big move for the Brazilian Scherer over the last few days and he has now moved to 2nd fav behind Scola. Personally I see him as a stalking horse but what do I know?

Sandro Magister is a leading Vatican journalist who is very well connected and respected. He reportedly is regularly read by the out going Pope Benedict. He wrote an article a few days ago which is pretty interesting;
http://chiesa.espresso.repubblica.it/articolo/1350453?eng=y
In it, he predicts the move for Scherer (before the betting market anyway) and he also sees American Cardinal Timothy Dolan eventually getting the big job.

He has written a couple of articles since, his latest from yesterday again hinting that the USA is 'at the centre of the new geography'.
http://chiesa.espresso.repubblica.it/articolo/1350460?eng=y

Reccommend £5 Timothy Dolan @ 64/1 with Betfair.

Cheers Dazzler, just had £9 with bwin @ 66/1

Would like to rec a bet on Minnesota v San Anotonio tomoro, bigger bet on the +9 handicap and a small banzai straight up at 4/1ish.

http://www.oddschecker.com/basketball/nba/san-antonio-spurs-at-minnesota-timberwolves/winner

The Spurs are already without their best player, Tony Parker, and have left their second best, Tim Duncan, and fourth best, Kawhi Leonard, at home injured. They have just left for tomoro's game in Minny without them so hopefully we get on before any price change. The bookies seem to be busy doing other things.

Minny have injuries themselves, but there's a possibility they might get at least one of their two knackered big men back. Even if they don't, the +9 handicap is defo too big, even if San An are pretty deep, should only be like +4
Basketball weighed in, hope u got on Teeks. Minnesota won by 24, so we just squeaked past the handicap by 33 lol. Banzai straight win up too at 4/1, tell me the basketball figures are looking rosier this morning?

Sorry, no, we were NOT on.

I had to go Offline from 5pm, & the bet was not proposed until the Evening.

I always try to flag up situations when I will not be available well in advance, & I hope I did yesterday, as usual. Not much we can do about these things I am afraid, other than, perhaps, propose the bets earlier, especially on really busy days such as yesterday. (There were 18 pages, (270 Posts) on the Thread yesterday).

Well done on a nice winner though, & everyone else who followed you in.

I'm on better internet & been able to search back on what has been happening.

Seems we got on Cardiff & seems they was lucky to draw! I lost £160 on that single, but recouped on Barnsley 2/1 at home v Brighton.

In better news....

Barnsley & Peterborough picked up points last night & Wolves go second bottom 2 points of safety having played a game more.

Morning Teeks,

Regards the Pont Alexandre bet, I would put up lays of twenty quid at: 2.42, 2.36, 2.3 and 2.24.

If they all get matched you have a free bet to fifty quid, if they don't, or only some do, Fred still has a strong and +ev position.

Correct, we were on Cardiff, but they failed to oblige.

The Wolves bet you have us looks better each day.

DONE.

All 4 LAYS put up as suggested.

None of them are matched yet.

Not sure how Vince accounts for these on the Sheet, but I'm sure he'll sort it easily enough. We originally backed Pont Alexandre for £80 @ 3 different prices specifically with a view to a trade. (Original bets were £30 @ 15/8, Paddy Power, £25 @ 2.86, Betfair & £25 @ 2.88, Betfair).

LAY Pont Alexandre, Betfair, £20 @ 2.42

LAY Pont Alexandre, Betfair, £20 @ 2.36

LAY Pont Alexandre, Betfair, £20 @ 2.30

LAY Pont Alexandre, Betfair, £20 @ 2.24

Hills are seemingly going 2/1 the pont today as some point.

Already are, they will prolly let you have a pony on it.  At 2/1, it has to be value, and Ruby was bubbling about its chances, so imo, don't even bother to lay off, just run it?

Yeh it's madness. Once they have had their fill and the arbers are done I expect the price to start to contract.

Thanks Simon.

We have already laid it (as above), so.....

What should we do now?
