Also like Birmingham price
Yuck, losing at home to Wolves must suck if you bet heavy on Birmingham.
Wow, what poor form from you.
Forgot to mention that someone else actually tipped that eh?

I am getting a bit obsessed with the odds for the relegation dogfight in the Championship, but yet again I see some more fantastic value...
Blackburn to get relegated are priced generally at 7/1, but Ladbrokes are offering us massive value at 12/1!!! Laddies are generally best price on quite a few teams in the battle of the bottom, but 12/1 is huge here.
I would suggest it as a recc for Fred, but we already have enough interest in this already with Wolves and Birmingham.
Blackburn 2 points away from 22nd and 3 from 23rd.
Blackburn not won in the last 10 league games, confidence must be so low and two next games look to be crucial to if they are going to be down there. The next two are against Cardiff (AWAY) and Wednesday (AWAY), perhaps likely to lose at cardiff and a loss against Wednesday or a draw is likely to see them dragged right into the mire. I can't see them picking up points in those two, so that they move away...
They are probably the only in the bottom half who are picking up hardly anything these days
They don't have a nice set of fixtures in general...
Cardiff (A)
Wednesday (A)
Derby (H)
Huddersfield (H) - Think this will be a huge game for both
Watford (A)
Millwall (A)
Palace (H)
Birmingham (A)
I am on Wolves & Blackburn and officially done with this market, but 12's is such a good price.
So you would have suggested it, but didn't think we should at the time?
Shame you weren't that positive, would have been a good bet at 12s.
Good night all.

Probably true but I can see why Doobs is frustrated.

Daily Summary, @ 0750, Tuesday April 9th
£15 was recorded as lost yesterday.
We had NO completed bets at all, but I had missed the Munster result from Sunday, which was a £15 loser.
At present, we are mostly in long-term stuff - Outrights on Promotion & Relegation in Football, IPL, & not forgetting the dreaded Eurovision Song thing.
We do have one quite unusual bet tonight, in the Blue Square Premier, where we are on Hyde to beat mighty Ebbsfleet.
Doncaster are at home tonight, & a win there would be rather pleasing for us.
The IPL has not started at all well for us, but there is plenty of time yet.
In London today, it is pouring with rain & freezing cold, a reminder that the County Cricket season starts tomorrow, so I'd best load up with gherkin's cricket bets.

The Masters Golf
This starts on Thursday, thus far, we have one bet, being Brandt Snedeker, £25 @ 25/1. (Now 40/1). It looked value at the time, & the price went as low as 16/1 later, but then he got injured, & the bet does not look so good now.

Don't forget, Mere is running a "Masters Golf Tipping Competition", the Aintreee version last week was tremendous fun, though the 1-2 both got extremely lucky & will never repeat such a result. We can but hope both of them enter The Masters version, so we can get our money back.
The Masters Tipping jobbie is here.....

Agree, poor form. Even if doobs is frustrated there is no need to go back and find losers to bait Aaron with.

Darren Clarke pulled out of Masters. Not sure how that affects the top irish bet. Only likely to slim down the price on the two we were tipped to back earlier itt.

Wtf is going on here Doobs, why are you listing losing tips someone has put up?
Perhaps we should revisit the Grand National selections you thoroughly reasoned before we bet them on Saturday. Not sure why you seem to have decided your voice is the one that has final say on bets suggested either, you do a good job putting a case for not betting other peoples picks but 5/6 bets in the National with no reasoning from you is fine. Can't have it both ways fella. Btw VC were betting 6 places non runner no bet for a long time, if you truly believed all those horses were thread worthy value then you picked the 2 nd nut worse time to bet them. Im stuggling to see how these selections were anything more than your fancies picked out that morning.
Tbh you seem to have spent a bit too mich time trying to put up value each way first scorers and what you think are bad each way races before Dubai and Neil do their thing.
It's not a competition mate and Aaron baiting isn't a sport we have to get involved in.
I admit I was a bit OOL last night, but the above is wrong.
If you look back through the thread you would discover that I investigated the VC offer a week or so before the race and I posted that the prices were shorter than elsewhere, so the offer wasn't worth taking. I looked at every single horse in the race at that time and on another occasion when I didn't post on the thread.
On the day of the race I looked again and discovered they had pushed the prices of some horses out. I went through every horse in the race and picked out the 4 that were value. The only one of the 4 I had previously backed was Imperial Commander. I took 20s under the VC offer. I would have posted at the time, but VC cut the price immediately after my bet. I didn't even look at the form of the 2 outsiders I picked as I was going away for the day.
I put up the reasoning for the 4 bets and none was 5/6.
I have posted several posts over the last couple of months defending Aaron. Last night I got frustrated with the mention of his 12/1 tip so I looked up the post for context. I should have explained why the price was now
and not 12s. Unfortunately I was tired and grouchy, so when I discovered he didn't just tip the one bet that weekend I bumped a couple.
The aftertiming of winners is a bit frustrating after a while and got to me a bit last night. Should have just let it go and gone to bed.
I have learned a lot through Neil and Dubai through this thread and am very grateful for that.
Apologies to Tikay for souring the thread.
Time for a rest from this thread I think.

ok mate. the 5/6 was meant as selections picked not price. Sounds like you had a bad night last night, it happens to us all. Might be best to delete the stuff from last night and I will delete from this morning.

IPL day 6 update:
Yesterday was not a great day for us in the top Englishman stakes. Not only did Rajasthan not pick Shah again but the man who he appears to be in competition with for a place in the side, Brad Hodge, performed well and the Royals won. On top of that Eoin Morgan scored 53 despite being dropped early and getting away with a LBW appeal which should have been given. When will it end?!
Today's games have already kicked off with the Sunrisers posting a respectable 161 against Bangalore. The afternoon game features our Mumbai Indians who come in off the back of a good win against Chennai. The Daredevils are well below strength at present so we really should be expecting a solid win here.
