stupid questions about bookie marketing

are they doing the "money back if ronnie wins" as they expect him to lose, or just because he is the biggest draw for adverts, promos etc etc to draw in snooker ice-creams?

whatever the answer is, you've got to bet with them against anywhere else right?

I'm such an ice cream I'm thinking of backing Ronnie with a bookie offering 'money back if Ronnie wins'.

RUHolding text me saying he's pretty certain it will be a Ding-Murphdog final.

Ladbrokes have pretty much ducked everybody, so their prices look to be effectively adjusted for the offer.

Betvictor have been braver, so you can back Selby, Trump and Carter (e/w) at best price with the money back offer.  I was trying to work out what effect the draw had on the offer, and it hurt my head so gave up and just backed the above 3 as stated on the assumption I was likely getting a slither of value.   I haven't put huge amounts on as I have a feeling there must be a draw effect, despite me not really knowing what it is.

I don't really follow snooker much anymore, but am a fan of maths.

Pune posted a competitive 159 against Chennai, they were the 2/1 outsiders so this would be a big win for them.
More importantly they played Steve Smith who they haven't selected in the first 3 games and he hit one of the best shots ive seen on his way to 39no from 16 Balls.
He's one of the best fielders in the World and id expect him to be given the Ball for a couple of overs to.

Thanks Snowy, watching it now on ITV4.

Chennai 7-1 in 2.2 overs.

I would go with this Tony. Doubt if the prices will last once they start advertising it in the press.

Plus a genuine money back offer , not like Badblokes Wink

Please be more selective though. Watching the Masters scattergun from an over-worked perspective was painful (not aftertiming, just an honest criticism )

for example Carter has to play Ronnie in Round 2. If you are bullish about Ronnie, no point doing Carter really just on draw

Similarly Higgins is seeded to play Ronnie in the Quarters

Players in the other half that could go deep are

Robertson (nap)
Ding
Selby

all of whom should give you a good run if Ronnie loses and your money isn't coming back on that...

Its £50 maximum refund regardless of total staked so if you do it split stakes up to a total of £50.

Bookies 'offers' will roll in for the snooker now the Masters has finished, both Laddies & BetVictor £££ back if Ronnie wins start the ball rolling.

Hopefully we'll able to pocket some money.

As long there isn't too much of a queue.
