Have been looking through the markets for the Man Utd game today and noticed Paul Scholes is 12/1 for MOM . He is retiring for good this time and team news suggests he will start today maybe worth a £10 mini Banzai

Morning Mr T.

In rugby league it is another round of the Challenge Cup, and Workington host Widnes. Workington are in the lower division and a solid team. By winning their last round match they have their ideal draw, a home tie against a superleague team who are vulnerable and shouldn't be able to physically dominate them. Their mindset should be all about containing the score and score a couple of tries themselves. With a home crowd and wet weather the start of 32 points is decent.

Suggest Workington +32 points £22 @ 10/11 with Paddy Power, Corals , Hills.

People with Skybet should take their offer of +34 points.

Thanks hector.

Am still in Dublin. Heaven and Hell right now. Breakfast - love brekkie when away from home, a proper luxury - in a pub bar. A PUB BAR. Where they serve alcohol. I know that because of the stench of stale ale.  What a thing, Heaven and Hell at the same time and place.

Anyway......thanks for the bet, your legions of followers will all be relying on you to deliver their pint of gold top.

We are safely on, £22 @ 10/11 with Paddy Power, Wonderful Workington (+32) to beat Woeful Widnes.

Who chooses the MOM?

The sponsor, a TV commentator, someone else?

I can see your logic, and £10 won't kill us, but just curious of the mechanics of this.

I went to bed 20 minutes too early it would seem...

We're too late though as Scholes is now 6/1 best.

That Scholes bet is v shrewd.

BigAdz will probably let us know hes on somewhere around the 17:55 mark.

I know the event hasn't taken place yet.....but I wondered on stats alone the Spanish Grand Prix has been won by the Pole Position 10 of the last 11 years, I believe. Surely worth a small investment on Rosberg at circa 8-1?

I know f all about F1, but seems a compelling stat.

I quite like this.  The received wisdom is that his tyres will degrade at a pace making him unable to maintain his position but this is Barcelona and not Bahrain and I would be amazed if Mercedes havent made any progress on this.   Also Rosberg is a bit easier on the tyres than Hamilton.  Also would have to think with Hamilton, Vettel and Alonso behind him on the grid the bookies will be keen to get him in the book.  I think he is worth a very modest wager.

only negative to this is Hamilton is not only better, but also TEam no1. Zero chance rosberg is allowed to win if Hamilton is anything like close

the one I am waiting for is Monaco

Mercedes use their one lap pace to qualify on pole. Good luck people trying to overtake two Mercedes even if their tyre degradation is a big disadvantage....
