I'm a bit worried that tikay is viewing this thread.
Can I assume that is bad news for your progress in your first tournament? Cheesy

Nah, the early levels of PLO8 are somewhat sedate and pedestrian, rather like the majority of the players.

We have played ONE hand in around 50 minutes, (plus got walked when holding A-A-K-2) and have 17,000.

At the (early) end of today's play there are two players tying the lead on -1, Phil Mickelson and Billy Horschel - both having completed their second round.

Michael Kim is +1 thru 11 behind Cheng Tsung Pan who is level thru 8. The next best amateur is Kevin Phelan on +6 thru 9.

Garcia is +6 thru 15 and could make the cut but there are three Englishmen on level par so he is struggling for top European.

Stenson is +2 thru 12 and still in the running.

Boo Weekley is +8 thru 14 so Fred was probably lucky to pass on this one.

McIlroy is +3 having completed his second round.

I think the last £25 BetVictor free bet should go on The Fugue in The Price of Wales.  She is a best price 8/1 with BetVictor and a few others, and is slightly better than Betfair (market isn't that Strong yet).

I am normally an advocate of backing Frenchies, but Maxios hasn't beaten much.  On last year's Timeform rating she is rated the same as Camelot and was unlucky a couple of times last year, and never out of the frame.

Al Kazeem looked impressive last time, but ours is 8/1 and we need horses at bigger than 2/1.

So last £25 BetVictor free bet goes on The Fugue at 8/1 in the Prince of Wales below.

Our other Ascot free bets look like this.

Reckless Abandon 7/1 Kings Stand on Tuesday
Declaration of War 12/1 (now best 7/1) Queen Anne on Tuesday (we also have this each way on a separate bet)
Sea Siren 12/1 Diamond Jubilee on Saturday

Evening Mr M.

Tomorrow sees the Lions play the Warratahs a week before the 1st test. So far the Lions have faced very mediocre opposition and the only time they had a decent opposition they struggled. Tomorrow I expect them to struggle to cover the 25 point handicap. I can't see where the Lions points will come from. The centres can't pass and they don't have the big Welsh wings to come in centre field. As good as 1/2p is in defence he doesn't offer much in attack. Even more uninspiring is the Lions bench, not a game changer in sight. Without Tipuric to add some fluidity between the backs and forwards it looks a functional side.

With the 1st test looming the first choice test players, Phillips, POC,Sexton AWJ etc will be looking to avoid injury rather than do much. I would expect a lot of substitutes to be used which will disjoint things.

Suggest £22 @ 10/11 Warratahs + 25 points Boylesport.

Agree with just about all of that. Think it will be a physical battle and the only negative is Halfpenny could kick a shitload of penalties. I'm on though.

BetVictor are offering money back as a free bet if Brazil win the Confederations Cup (football).  Seems like a must bet and guess we should back Spain to win at 6/4.

Max is £25 and you can do it on any Internet device.

Not sure how much we can push these offers, but they seem keen to give away money at the minute.

Daily Report

Loss on Month £478.50

Outstanding Bets £1285.25

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc&pli=1#gid=25

No Bets completed yesterday

I covered the cricket postion yesterday, where the Middlesex position has been fading, the Northants position is still strong, where the West Indies got stiffed by their own stupidity and the inflexibility of the rules and where all eyes are on the Cardiff weather tomorrow

Mere Novice covered the US Golf situation on a post last night, where we have a couple of live positions in Stenson and Kim

Doobs now has his five free bets in place, on McIlroy and Royal Ascot races at Royal Ascot next week

We have positions on the Waratahs against the spread this morning in Sydney and the MMA tonight

I have read elsewhere that backing Spain is the best play with this offer so will place the bet shortly unless we get some dissent.

Think backing Spain is simply the low variance route.   They aren't best price about any of the teams, and I think the offer has the same value whatever you back (barring Brazil).

What was the outcome of the Lions captain bet?

I heard somewhere Warburton is not sure to play in the First Test,
