Hello. Connery bet no good, then?

Someone asked about why he would be in the royal box. As a knight of the realm, it is almost inconceivable that he wouldn't be in the royal box if he were to attend. He was for the Olympics at Wimbledon and has been AFAIK whenever he has attended Wimbledon rounds since his knighthood.

Think they are all either busy perving the Ladies Tennis, or assessing whether the near-term mortality rates for 82 year olds is in the price, Tal.

The market is no longer available.
I'm keeping an eagle-eye on it.

Hawkeye?

Very good.

Fancy Makharova might beat Kvitova (likes grass IIRC) but not seen any prices to propose a bet. Thoughts?

Makarova 2-1 up with a break in the third set when play was suspended due to bad light.

Great being in Vegas not having access to my accounts.

Being here has actually reduced my gambling Cheesy

Whilst keeping my rabbit-eye on the Royal Box, I spotted the following market:

Sean Connery 66/1

Any takers?

It is roughly 2/1 he shows up on a Murray final.  Given he has already done the I am Scottish and support Murray thing in his lifetime already, is he going to be that keen to fly across the Atlantic at his age?  2/1 doesn't seem that big to me.  Can't he just tweet his support or send Rab C Nesbitt in his place?

Not one. Only applies to the main role. Fergie may be getting on, but that would be a stretch.

Robbie Coltrane 25/1?Huh?

Lol @ Peter Capaldi at 16/1. Essentially, he's very good at shouting in a Scottish accent in his role as Malcolm Tucker in The Thick of It.

Me too Mr M, it almost seems like a loss.

As Mr T says though a dripping tap soon fills the bath ( I think it should read eventually fills).

Other results tonight:

Huddersfield 60 Catalan 16
St Helens 12 Hull KR 24

We missed a trick on the Hull KR result; I just couldn't see that coming.

An excellent night for our rugby league pundits even if Fred only backed one.

Hector, any rugby league bets for this weekend?  Hull KR are underdogs against Saints, and at 5/1 with some.  That seems a bit generous considering that on their day KR can score a lot of points and Saints aren't the most consistent side.  Maybe a nittier option of going for Hull KR with some points?  Whoever wins, should be a lot of tries scored in that one.

Any other games catch your eye?

Just in case anyone missed this post.
