^^^^^

Great stuff Sandy, the place money is just about locked up.

An 8 at 14 from Wade and Villegas double bogey at 18 means the cut will be +8 sp Lawrie and Ramsay sneak in and instead of 3 left we have 5 Sad

Come on Stephen get your finger out !

WAL, I backed both Lawrie and Ramsay. Now I just need one of them to find a 64 tomorrow.

A couple of days ago, Tal mentioned a greyhound for tomorrow and as it turned out I'd backed it antepost for the competition.

I've topped up at 7/1 and think it is worth £10 of TfT's money as it is almost certainly going to lead and definitely hold more often than 1 time in 8.

The race is the final of the Produce Stakes and we should back Son Of Delboy at 7/1 with either PP or Boyles.

Johnnys Boy is the favourite, coming from trap 6, but is far too short for me at 8/13 and I think he'll get held up by Klockwork Kaipo early. Kaipo beat Delboy in semis when he went past him at halfway before Delboy rallied to lose by about half a length. Think there is a chance SoD goes further clear in this race and Kaipo will have more competition for the run at Delboy.

Here's a video of Delboy from the 1st round which doesn't really tell us much as we know he is a pinger but it is very pretty.

Happy for the recommend to go down as Tal's as I assume he probably wanted to recommend it.

Wow, PING!

On, £10@ 7/1, Boylesports, details to follow.

Thanks Simon, Scott.

Irish Oaks tomorrow at The Curragh. Boilsports money back (cash, not free bet) if 2nd. Boils best price both market leaders, Talent & Riposte, both 3/1, both trading shorter on Betfair. Suggest punting either or both for Fred.

Hi, sorry what do you mean by for Fred? (Bit of a newb to this forum)

The Irish Oaks apparently usually goes to one of the first 3 in the betting (9 out of the last 10 I think) so this looks a stand out bet.

Hi Trouty,,

"Fred" is the nickname for the thread, & in this case, as the bet is an "Offer", the bet gets credited ("owned by") to the Fred Account, rather than the Tipster.

Like that, but I need help in deciding which to back, or whether the maths allows us to back both.

Looks like a bet though, once we work out what and how.

Kp is right, back both, one with PP, one with Boyles.

Riposte is 11/4 with PP, Talent 5/2 so Riposte it is

Both ON.

Got restricted by PP to £20, so made the Boyle bet £20, too. Don't really know why.......

We got 3/1 (3/1!) Riposte with PP & 11/4 Talent, with Boylesports.

Details to be confirmed later, am pokering this evening.

Thanks KP, Doobs.

Further to the article I posted yesterday, here are the musings of another guy I believe is quite respected in the college football game.

Ashes bets latest

Swann 11/2 top series bowler

His first five wicket haul of the series today and could get a truckload in the second innings

Top class bowler on dry pitches, every chance of scooping here at a good price, especially if the weather continues to bake the pitches. Old Trafford and the Oval are not seam friendly. I am confident with this one

The usual threat, the Aussies are clueless against Anderson as well

An unexpected threat, England's top order is showing fragility too with both bowling line ups proving to be the strength of their sides

Player          Inn Wkts Average  Econ
JM Anderson       3   11   16.63  2.62
PM Siddle         4   11   19.54  2.87
GP Swann          3    9   23.22  2.47
JL Pattinson      4    6   45.00  3.54
RJ Harris         2    5   16.80  2.70
MA Starc          2    5   27.00  2.75
SCJ Broad         3    4   30.00  2.93
SPD Smith         2    3    6.33  2.71
TT Bresnan        1    2   14.00  4.00
ST Finn           2    2   58.50  4.68
AC Agar           3    2   75.00  2.72
JE Root           1    1    6.00  3.00
SR Watson         4    1   72.00  2.00

Clarke top Australian Batsman

In the cricketing detritus of a batting miasma growing more painful by the day, it is a major surprise to see Clarke with 50 runs in 3 innings. Fortunately no other batsman is scoring runs and we know Clarke will come good. Can't say that of many others in this line up....

Player/Innings/ Runs/Top Score/ Average

AC Agar            3  114   98   38.00
SR Watson          3   89   46   29.66
CJL Rogers         3   83   52   27.66
PJ Hughes          3   82   81*  41.00
BJ Haddin          3   79   71   26.33
SPD Smith          3   72   53   24.00
MJ Clarke          3   51   28   17.00
JL Pattinson       3   37   25*  37.00
UT Khawaja         1   14   14   14.00

Daily Report

Profit on Month £75.45

Outstanding Bets £2075.60

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc&pli=1#gid=27

A loss of £55 yesterday.

Fognini's win over Haas netted £20 partially offsetting the missed and made cut losses from Muirfield

As above, we have a couple of the Golf Portfolio in the hunt for at least an each way return, plus well placed for a return in the top Scottish Golfer market

In the Tour De France Quintana remains on the podium with two stages to go. If he remains in the top three we will have had a profitable Tour, as the win would more than offset modest losing ebts elsewhere

At Lords, a remarkable 16 wickets fell on a batting featherbed. In part I blame lack of patience on a surfeit of T20 cricket. Dig in lads, there is really no excuse for trying to loft Swann over mid off on Day 2 of a 5 day Test Match chasing 360+ and one down in the series. Baffling.

At Muirfield, its quite tricky to see someone coming from a long way back and shooting birdies on dry crusty greens and a bit of wind. Not really evidence that someone can shoot a 64 to come from +5. That still leaves 25-30 golfers in contention from +1 upwards and absolutely no visibility on the winner. Exactly what the organisers want I expect.

A pivotal weekend ahead for our July result. We have a big Golf portfolio and positions in cricket, Horses, Dogs, Boxing and Darts plus whatever else the morrow throws up

At the risk of single handily breaking Tips for Tikay, William Hill are still doing their finish 2nd in a TV race get a free bet offer on MOBILE.

I assume we have mobile again, so £25 the win
Newbury
2.05 Arsaadi 15/8
2.40 Royal Empire 13/8
3.15 Krypton Factor 15/8
Newmarket
1.50 Es Que Love 7/2
2.25 Walia 2/1

This also applies to the 4th at Newbury but Linbourne Lass is too short, and the races at Newbury where everything is too short.

Maybe we can get some free bets to throw at the golf?

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

Genius, we will be able to back the rest of The Open field......

Yes, we have Mobile.

On my way, Mr Doobs.

All done, confirmation to follow.

All prices as above, to £25, with Wm Hill, via Mobile, EXCEPT that we only got 11/4 Es Que Love.

Morning Mr T.

Having a break from finding things on Pathe news web site I had a look at the tennis.

This morning Fognini plays Almagro in the semi final. He has a 1-3 record versus him but they have not met for 4 years, when Fognini was still maturing, and it is slightly relevant that his win came in the 4th meeting. Looking at their results over the last 2 years against good clay court players it seems that Fognini's record is better. Coupled with his victory in the previous tournament should mean that he was favourite today, but he is not.

Suggest £20 Fognini to beat Almagro @ 6/5 with Ladbrokes.
