Suljovic now 2-3, having missed the top lipstick for 3-1.

I'm certain I've mentioned this before, but I've played chess a few times at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool. There is a big comp there every year that brings together all the various sharks from around the country (these are people who deliberately keep their rating to a certain level so that they can enter weaker category tournaments) for one of the biggest prize funds in the calendar.

These pics on a Google search are from the 2008 comp:

Handicap Bandits? I like that.

We need to win 2 of the next 4 legs.

Looking at The Open leaderboard after the 3rd round, I think there must be some value in Hunter Mahan or Adam Scott.  Both priced 8/1.   E/w 1/4 odds top 3 places.

-3 Lee Westwood (Eng)

-1 Hunter Mahan (US), Tiger Woods (US)

PAR Adam Scott (Aus)

+1 Angel Cabrera (Arg), Zach Johnson (US), Ryan Moore (US), Henrik Stenson (Swe)

+2 Phil Mickelson (US), Francesco Molinari (Ita)

+3 Sergio Garcia (Spa), Brandt Snedeker (US), Jamie Donaldson (Wal), Hideki Matsuyama (Jpn), Jason Day (Aus), Dustin Johnson (US), Miguel Angel Jimenez (Spa

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Sergio Garcia @ 66/1 (hills) looks great for an e/w for me.  Only player in the whole leader-board down to T25 that has improved his score each round!

Top Tipping!

Think we had 7/1.

Nice way to end a fun day.

EDIT - we still have one bet to come, on the Boxing. No idea what time that starts, though.

Good old delboy

nice work scotty

Think Tal tipped it here first, but Scott had napped it in his column elsewhere, then backed up the Tal suggestion.

Spreadsheet says £10 @7/1 with Mr Boyle.

Have just spoken to one of the owners. He seems pleased. 15,000 reasons to be cheerful and all that.

Think this is an example of the Fred system working. Mug punter who enjoys a sport posts a suggestion. Elder who knows the business properly authorises the selection. Fred wins.
