Boxing

Nathan Cleverly faces his toughest challenge to date against big punching Sergey Kovalev on Saturday.  Cleverly's career has stagnated in the past couple of years for one reason or another but this is a proper test.  Kovalev has blasted his way through all of his opponents to date, however they have all been second tier so far.  As a rule I like to oppose big punchers who are stepping up in class as they are often found lacking in ideas when they discover they can't blast their opponents out of their.  Cleverly is much better technically and has a solid chin although he does have a tendency to leave himself open at times.  If he can take Kovalev's power (I believe he will) I think he boxes his way to a relatively comfortable points victory.  I can't have him as the dog here and 5/4 is a cracking price.  Recommend £60 @5/4 with Bwin (6/5 also good).

Ooh, thanks Tighty. I DID get on this, at around 2am this morning, (I was working last night....) but I forgot to confirm.

Be right back.

Daily Report

Loss on Month £11.50

Outstanding Bets £2891.58

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc#gid=28

A loss of £50 yesterday with two horse losers, despite both being backed off the boards, offset bySwinton-York coming under on the points

Essex upset favourites Notts to reach T20 finals day. Shaun Tait's hat-trick was part of an over that read W 1 . W W W . Nice

Even nicer, the semi-draw kept Essex away frrom Hampshire, the worthy favourites. Next Saturday at Edgbaston  for finals Day, should be a good sweat.

At Durham it looks an awkward toss to win. The pitch is a bit green and cracked and the plates are moving. However its overcast. You might have to bat but won't want to

In the Golf at Oak Hill Lee Westwood is at it again. Does appear that his putting woes have been sorted out doesn't it? Hope he wins a major!

Three of the thread's selections Furyk, Casey and Kuchar are right up there

In the MLB The Royals beat the Red Sox last night (but the Tigers won again, change the record). The Rays had no game

The forward book is now nearly £2900

Was hoping you'd go with a labyrinth, but am pleasantly surprised with the Rolling Stone instead.

does thread have a bet on Bird?

Looks from the warm ups he is getting a go this time

(from twitter)

Starc not warming up. Looks like Bird for Starc with Harris and Lyon playing.

No bet on Bird

Pitch up wicket for Siddle and Bird.

What price is Bird top aussie bowler first innings?

Anderson might be knackered, bowled into the ground at TB and Lords.....Onions sort of wicket

Liking the unders a lot, and quite a quick result (famous last words)

Yes probably. Not a Swan wicket, Broad should be dropped but won't be. So could be a match v Bresnan/Anderson.
