Perhaps Tikay you would get a view on this bet for saturday.

Sheff Wed play Burnley on saturday. Burnley are best price 13/5 on oddschecker.

Wednesday have had a poor pre season with few signings. Whilst Wednesday on paper did OK at QPR last saturday, if it wasnt for Kirkland making 4 top draw saves and poor finishing from QPR it could have ended 4-1 (I watched that game). I'm a Wednesday fan.

Wednesday have lost all 4 recognised full backs to injury (Buxton and Lee at right back, Reda Johnson and Mattock at left back) and look vunerable down both flanks.

Jermaine Johnson was a match winner for Wednesday in the second half of last season and wont play because he got sent off at Rotherham in mid week, Wednesday were woeful in that game.

I think 13/5 is too big on Burnley who cruised to a 4-0 win in midweek.

Recommend considering £20 bet on a Burnley win.

Thanks Rick, & welcome back to Fred.

We like your stuff - you've had 6 bets with us, & whilst that is a woefully inadequate sample size, you generally spot good value, & you have an ROI of 19% so far.

I watched Wednesday the other night. Woeful Wednesday, I'm afraid, & I sense a tough season for them, & more likely, Mr Jones.

I need some feedback though, because the one problem I have is this.....

Every bookmaker is quoting 5/2, or thereabouts, which rather suggests they have all missed something, or we have. If it were really good value @ 5/2, it would all be gone now, would it not? Betfair are very marginally worse than 5/2, but I don't believe their market has formed properly yet.

Not averse to the bet, in fact I like it, but something is not adding up here.

Don't let me forget this, I like it, but we need some other views too, please.

Well done me.......

I blame Chompy, for not reminding me.

Bwin are offering a line of 5.5 on the number of goals Paulinho will score for Spurs this season, with 11/13 either way.

I really like the overs.

I saw a promotional article on bwin's site by chance this morning, saying he'd play deep. I disagree. Spurs are about to complete a deal for Capoué, who will sit alongside Sandro in front of the back four. Paulinho will be more prominent in attack and will be a genuine threat in the air for set pieces.

(Lol he's just scored from a header but ruled offside!)

6 goal sweats anyone?

Any views on this? I shall propose £33 and see where that gets me.

Was just about to go looking for over and unders i presume that is the lowest quote?

As stated what seems a long time ago now in a Brazil match when fred had him anytime he is a massive threat and 5.5 looks at least 2 to low to me

I would like to recommend £20 each way on Rickie Lambert to be the first goal scorer for England v Scotland. Ladbrokes are best priced 6-1.

Wayne Rooney is still carrying a hamstring injury. He is not expected to be involved in the charity shield tomorrow and can’t see him playing more than a bit part role in this one. Similar story for Defoe who has been carrying a niggle for a while. Indications are that Lambert will start and should play at least 60mins. I would not be surprised at all to see him play the whole game given the other strikers injuries and Welbeck playing in the charity shield tomorrow.

He will be more driven than anyone else to score. He has talked at length in the past about his desire to play for England and has grinded his way through the leagues to get there. He is going to be pushing to make an impact.

I think he will match up well against a poor Scotland defense. I expect him to play right up top with the other striker playing just off of him. Good with both feet and dangerous in the air.

Also think there is a good chance he will be given free kicks and penalties. He is 31/31 taking penalties for Southampton. There is a risk that Lampard/Gerrard/Baines may want them though.

6/1 is the standout price in a market that has only just gone up.

He looks a great signing and that line does look on the low side.

Tal did you have a punt on Bale to stay during this transfer window?

Ronaldo and co are about to kick off vs Inter.  Our /FT was a best priced 1.9 at kick off (I'd of happily taken evens).

It might be a good bet regardless, I am not sure, and I am pleased for Lambert

Would be surprised to see a debutant on penalties. Gerrard most likely, no?

True, may be a bit ambitious to expect him to be on penalties. Don't think it would be a shock though given his record. He is the sort of player who will be pushing to take them, same with free kicks. Hopefully Gerrard gets subbed at half time.

Rooney definitely ruled out of Charity Shield tomorrow.

I haven't. I think he'll go, of course. I think it's an interesting bet and tempting, but I can't determine the head:heart ratio well enough

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM Big Adz, great call on the Frenchie. Decided to put everything I had in my Laddies acc on it before I opened it to see what was in there. There were times in 2007 when Laddies woulda been issuing a profits warning if I'd done that on a 16/1 winner. Still, a happy weekend, knew you'd do it

Think those in the clubhouse represent good value in the golf especially each way.  Just backed Rory (20/1), Streelman (125/1) and (80-1).
