Day is definitely going well for thread.  Won't feel so bad if Team Maths stumbles at the last now.

"Eighteen years after Howard Clark makes a hole in one at the 11th at Oak Hill, his namesake Tim repeats the feat! Tim Clark, with a hybrid on the tee at 11. He arrows it straight at the flag. One bounce, a second little bounce, and it's plopped in the cup for the crispest, cleanest hole in one you'll ever see! No fuss, no messing! Clark raises an arm, wanders calmly around the tee soaking up the screams of joy from the gallery, then high-fives his caddy and finally takes the congratulations of his playing partner Miguel Angel Jimenez. The Mechanic, true to his nickname, seems to be talking Clark through the nuts and bolts of the shot, smiling broadly and gesticulating in a way which suggests he's saying "that is the straightest golf shot I have ever seen!" Sheer brilliance. Howard Clark's ace helped him to a one-shot victory over Peter Jacobsen in the singles of the 1995 Ryder Cup, a significant moment as Europe turned around a final-day deficit. This won't have the same seismic effect - Tim was +9 before he swung that hybrid - but he's +7 now and very happy with himself. He plucks the ball from the hole, and hands it to his caddy for safekeeping, as opposed to throwing a memory away into the crowd. "

5/2 Kashmir Peak with Ladbrokes, 5.00 Ayr tomorrow. Crazy price. 6/4 would be nearer the mark.

The International at York looks like a race full of non runners.  I can't see Aidan O'Brien running more than one of his better horses, and after yesterday, Cirrus Des Aigles and Telescope aren't likely to show up.   I think the turn out will be Al Kazeem, Magician, Trading Leather and at most of handful of others that aren't really good enough.

Al Kazeem is such a good horse and after struggling to keep sound for a while is now showing his class.  Magician looked magnificent one day, rubbish the next.  So I guess there is a chance we are going to pick the third best horse.

That horse is Trading Leather, he won the Irish Derby and couldn't live with Novellist in the King George.  I don't think there is much shame in the latter, as I was so impressed I logged on to Ladbrokes to get 0 pounds* on it Ante Post for the Arc.  The horse has run on good to firm the last few times, which is the likely ground at York.

There is the obvious danger that Jim Bolger is planning something different than running at York, but we have to live with that.

Suggest £25 each way Trading Leather at 9/2 in the International at York (Boylesports or BetVictor, assuming we can't get on with Stans).  The win odds don't beat Betfair, but it seems pretty unlikely we won't get good enough place terms to make up for.

* I was kind of hoping for a touch more.

Thanks Doobs.

We are on, @ 9/2.

We have £25 EW @ 9/2, BetVictor, (one fifth, 1,2,3), Trading Leather.

Boylesports have put him up at 2/1.  They happily laid me 0 pounds.

Got a real interesting one here for you....

And SHOCK HORROR.......it isn't CRYSTAL PALACE related, Hurrah!

Dulwich Hamlet to win the Isthmian premier league at 16-1 with Betway. I would have had them to get promoted instead, but there only appears to be a win market on Oddschecker.

I went to watch them at the back end of last season. They have retained much of the same squad, and they were a complete delight to watch with two standout players that were incredible at this level. They knock the ball around like a Swansea side and were incredibly fit.

They got promoted as champions at the end of last season.

Yesterday they beat joint favourites for the league title, Lowestoft at home comfortably, 2-0.

I think it would be an enjoyable bet and something a little different. Suggest £5 @16-1.

Ant, Mr Palace Bloke! Loved the reminiscence, great stuff.

There is clearly much interest in this, judging by the response from many. Chomps wants to throw hundo's at it, as they have a player who is the spit of Fatty Tomlin, AND he does the tango, but I'm a bit more nitty than him.....

Two problems for Fred.

1) I don't have a Betway Account, & I really cant take the 10/1 (best available) on offer elsewhere when they were offering 16/1, the Elders would have me shot, & quite rightly.

2) Sorry if I missed the salient bits, as I'm rushing to get to work, but where is the value & logic in the bet?

We LOVE these Season long sweats, as you can see, & I'll happily get on, but we need more than Peter Crouch once watched a game there, &.........

Just to let you know Tikay, I threw in a picture of the supporters team laid out in their kits to throw people when looking back on my original post. A bit of editing fun.

The reason for the bet is they are a very good team for this standard undervalued because they have only just got promoted.

Gotcha.

Well if you can point me to where I can gert 16/1, we'll deffo have a bit of fun with it. Joking aside, I cannot even consider getting on at 10/1 when the suggestion was 16/1.

Post it here if you can get 16/1 somewhere, & we'll hop aboard.
