Good luck with the golf tonight lads, & keep the thread updated as to progress if you can, as I'll be in read-only mode until after Midnight.

5/2 Kashmir Peak with Ladbrokes, 5.00 Ayr tomorrow. Crazy price. 6/4 would be nearer the mark.
Ive been to lunch this week with one of the owners, will ring him and see what he thinks.
Edit, he said ' we had to run it somewhere this week coz it's 6 pounds well in before it's reassessed mark kicks in, should run well'

That was a massive effort at Chester last time. He sat closer to a furious pace than the winner and the pair came right away. He's at least 6lb well in imo.

Sticker -3 joint 8th after 11

As for selections, from a form/record in event/type of player etc. I think Stenson is a cracker, and Poulter also has a real solid profile in Majors recently, and made the cut in the last 10 PGAs
All the reports I see are the greens are very rough which should balance things out, and Dufner with a couple of places in recent PGAs and playing ok is not the best putter, so could help him.
Some of us would prefer he didn't!

"Eighteen years after Howard Clark makes a hole in one at the 11th at Oak Hill, his namesake Tim repeats the feat! Tim Clark, with a hybrid on the tee at 11. He arrows it straight at the flag. One bounce, a second little bounce, and it's plopped in the cup for the crispest, cleanest hole in one you'll ever see! No fuss, no messing! Clark raises an arm, wanders calmly around the tee soaking up the screams of joy from the gallery, then high-fives his caddy and finally takes the congratulations of his playing partner Miguel Angel Jimenez. The Mechanic, true to his nickname, seems to be talking Clark through the nuts and bolts of the shot, smiling broadly and gesticulating in a way which suggests he's saying "that is the straightest golf shot I have ever seen!" Sheer brilliance. Howard Clark's ace helped him to a one-shot victory over Peter Jacobsen in the singles of the 1995 Ryder Cup, a significant moment as Europe turned around a final-day deficit. This won't have the same seismic effect - Tim was +9 before he swung that hybrid - but he's +7 now and very happy with himself. He plucks the ball from the hole, and hands it to his caddy for safekeeping, as opposed to throwing a memory away into the crowd. "
Good work, yet again, Sandy, thank you.
Left it late, mind.......
Early enough

Interesting fact!
Valencia was given the number 7 shirt at the start of the season but looking at today he is now number 25 and has given number 7 up??
Does this mean the retune of the great one
No would be the short answer.
Tal and I touched upon the subject of transfer betting which is going to finish with me recommending a lump on Rooney to stay at Man United. First of all though is this funny encounter with BetVictor...
Vic was offering
'Will Wayne Rooney still be a Man United player at the start of the season'
[yes] @1.33 which was still too short in my opinion.
6 hours after my enquiry their VIP team e-mailed back about the t&c. In the meantime (post Community Shield) Rooney to stay at United had shortened across the board but what's this? Well butter me up Vic only went and upped the price of Yes to 1.533!
Alas it was too good to be true. Their trader was on the ball after his earlier incorrect assumption and restricted me (for the 1st time ever) to a 1/10th of my usual lump payout before snap removing the market from play.

Sorry to interrupt your golf sweat guys but hopefully Fred is going to be feeling flush
Suggested bet £70 on Rooney to stay at United this transfer window @ 2.2
with Unibet and 888. (I've backed it as low as 1.9)
The price on him to Chelsea is all wrong. Chelsea appear only half serious in their bid for him but have fully succeeded in upsetting the apple cart at Old Trafford. Also United cannot sell a top star to a domestic rival.
On a similar note I'd also take £40 on Bale to stay at Spurs whilst there's 3.0+ available on Betfair.

With regards to the Dulwich Hamlet's bet that Ant suggested. I live in Crystal Palace and went to watch them four times towards the back end of last season. Ant is right in that in Ellis Green and Erhun Oztumer (he's 5 foot 2, he's pink and blue) Hamlet have two of the best players in the league. Inevitably though Danny Carr, last season's top scorer, has gone sold to Huddersfield for £50k. He had trials at Liverpool and went before the end of last season with the clause to end the season at Hamlet's. And Xavier Vidal, who plays the Makelele role, is expected to be sold to a Premier League team. He didn't play against Palace last week.
I'm not saying it's not a bet, but just providing some balance. Also, saw them play Maidstone (the favs) at home at the end of the season. Drew 1-1, Hamlet's missed a pen, Maidstone had one Jon Harley playing for them, they then went up in the playoffs. Not sure who Maidstone have signed but they had massive crowds compared to anyone else in the league and presumably have a bigger budget.
