They were 11 points off fifth last season and the only two teams of the five Liverpool would have any realistic possibility of finishing above are the north London sides. Whats the % risk a team in the Prem goes bust? Would this leave them as "relegated" in terms of settling bets? What would happen if a team like Liverpool/Man U hit administration? Points deduction? Humans are horrible at comprehending the unlikely happenings of certain events, especially when the percentage chance can be fairly minuscule. First season syndrome still exist in football and betting markets?
