Probably very wise. Evens Top 5, you'll get knocked over in the stampede to get on!

Even money top 5?

They were 11 points off fifth last season and the only two teams of the five Liverpool would have any realistic possibility of finishing above are the north London sides. One has spent £60m and counting (albeit probably at the expense of its best player) and the other is going to be better for last season together and might be buying Liverpool's only top class player.

Even money to finish above Everton.

(For the record, I am all mouth, so don't start with any of the money duelling malarkey)

In we go then, less discussion, more puntering...£25 Liverpool to finish bottom half, 20-1 Laddies.

Whats the % risk a team in the Prem goes bust? Would this leave them as "relegated" in terms of settling bets? What would happen if a team like Liverpool/Man U hit administration? Points deduction? Humans are horrible at comprehending the unlikely happenings of certain events, especially when the percentage chance can be fairly minuscule. First season syndrome still exist in football and betting markets?

20/1 looks HUGE.

I was saying everyone would happily offer him evens!

Alright Waz we will have the £75 at evens.  They finish top 5 you are the winner.  If not I win.  Good luck.

Tal/others - think I probably slightly have the worst of it in terms of that there are better EV bets I could have against them.  They are 1/3 to finish in the top 6 and 2/1 to finish top 4 so it seemed fair way we could both have a friendly bet.

Liverpool are only 14/1 with Laddies.

Excellent.  Cheers, enjoyed the banter too.

How do I get the £75 to you, assuming you want it before the season starts?

We should have a bunch of fun with those two bets, Arsenal (Top Three) & Liverpool (bottom half).
