I really can't understand befair markets sometimes.  Backers are looking for 1.47 about celtic when they can get 1.5 without commission from several high street books?

If you want real illogical the Betfair market on the Stoke match winner has done 800k of volume whilst their Asian Handicap market has done 10k of volume.  They are effectively the same thing except one has a commission rate of 0.75% and the other is the regular 2-5%.  Yet the 800k was done on the market with the higher commission!!!!

Tomkins goes over for a try with two minutes to go.  Richards converts as the hooter sounds.

Good result for Hull City handicap backers.

I missed podcast, I assume it was on there, how is laying arsenal liverpool value?
I assumed betfair prices were mostly always spot on.

I think it is because the asian markets bet a lot on Liverpool and brought in their price to something that isn't correct.

Bob on.

Fred did well doing this last season, but pulled back when the results started picking up and the lines were getting less juicy. Fred timed it beautifully, too.

I have been thinking about this concept (which, for reasons known only to Fred purists, I call the Gravediggers Principle) with reference to the chess world championship matches, where a huge market person (Chinese in the women's and Indian in the men's) is playing against a less fashionably punty national. I'm not sure about whether there's much cause for loving the prices - Carlsen is a big favourite against Anand, for instance, but I'll keep an eye and welcome any views.
