As anyone alive could have predicted Oregon thumped Nicholls State 66-3 actual covering the 59 point handicap!
Mariota (1 t please people!) stat line:
Passing 12/21 234yds 1td
Rushing 5 carries 113 yds 2td.
Not shabby at all, though apparantly he did struggle in early going with his accuracy passing the ball.
Oregon actually do have another Heisman candidate in running back De'Anthony Thomas who actually got a lot of work he hasn't in previous years where he was used as an impact player. I don't think this should be overly concerning to the bet at the moment but it could see a muddying of the water further down the track with 2 candidates from the same team.
Highlights from the game.

24 hours left until Jim and Natalie close the window.
It begins...

Yup, we lost 2 sets to love.
Nadal will square the US Open book for us though, hopefully, and Giroud did us proud today.

Daily Report
Profit on Month £150.25
Outstanding Bets £3093.72
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc#gid=29
Three winners helped the month off to a positive start. Giroud first goalscorer yesterday at 8-1 for +£200, Carney any time try scorer at 8/11 for £24 and Victory Song 5/4 for +£31
In the negative column, Jacquelin and Aguilar at the Wesh Open, three losing horse selections (with the compensation of two free bets) and Serena beating Sloane in straight sets
There are likely to be losses today from the Deutsche Bank as Scott -7, Westwood -6 and Johnson -5 are a way back. Free bet Mickelson has faded with successive 71s too. More brightly Keegan Bradley has shot 69-65-67 and is Tied for 9th at -12, currently three places off an each-way return
In longer term positions, Arsenal's victory over Tottenham was encouraging for the season long Arsenal bet. Liverpool's win over United makes a bottom half position for Liverpool seem even more remote, Paulinho did not score, and Athletico Bilbao lost to Madrid yesterday morning
In baseball the Rays lost three in a row to the Athletics and the Red Sox swept the White Sox to put a substantial swing in the AL East pennant race
In summary
"Heading into Friday’s action, the competition between the Tampa Bay Rays and Boston Red Sox for the American League East lead was the second-closest race in baseball, behind only the battle for first place in the National League Central. At that point, the Rays were just 2 1/2 games behind Boston, but with the Red Sox sweeping the lowly White Sox and the Rays being swept by potential Wild Card Game opponents the A’s this weekend, the Red Sox have built their lead up to 5 1/2 games with just 24 left to play and just three head-to-head games remaining between the two teams."
So we could be looking at the AL East saver to come in for us, and then hope the Rays make a Wild card for our subsequent bets

A win for Arsenal today is the worst possible result for our Arsenal season bet.

Mickelson has been a bit of a disappointment. Shot to 8 under early on day 1 and has stayed there. C'mon Bradders, let's get a return.
We don't want Nikhi Nakhi answering the phone today.

Today's photo-montage has whooshed me.
It is "kerching"?
It would help if I knew the name, or relevance, of the young lady in the first photo.....
