Now that you've nicked a few units on Neil's bets, may I suggest in comparison with other bets you overstaked these?
I guess these bets will have an ROI of about 5-7%
So I would have thought £5 per point would more suitable.
Thoughts from anyone else?

I agree. I definitely expect to win long-term but it made these particular five bets very important in the TFT scheme of things. I think you should nick money here and there on my NFL in the way a bath fills but I'm certainly happy if they get discussed and some get thrown out. Maybe you should just bet the 8 point and over ones or possibly bet £5 a point.
It's going to be quite a lot of work to bet everything I tip. You might miss the odd price and Keith is right - they are quite low-margin (some maybe -ev to others) and if you miss a price I may say no bet rather than "oh it's only half a point out".

Aftertiming is the worst.
You've got a way to go to catch BigAdz and Kinboshi though.

tbf keith pleno tipped di canios sacking a few weeks back I thought fred was on I was going to come on and offer my congratulations but skimming the spreadsheet fred didnt get on.
so he isnt after timing in the sense that I understand after timing just offering rubs which was to be expected and he was mocked for before it happened

I ran out of time trying to get all the BETTING EMPORIUM bets on, only getting 7 of the 8 on.
The one I missed was.......
4 pts Over 49.5 Packers/Bengals at 10/11 (would make good spread buy at 51).
The Final Score was 30-34.
As leader of all that is after timing, this feels like some sort of reverse after time, where the rest of us are on, but Fred points out he actually didn't lose......hmmmm

Aftertiming is boasting about picking a winner when the person/people you are boasting to aren't on.
What is the point of boasting anyway? The person boasting is only going to piss off the people he's boasting to

To be fair to Pleno, he stuck the bet up for all to see.
Just because Fred didn't take it up, I suspect a few did, and so it is worthy of acknowledgement.
I am sure that not every bet Fred has you agree with, and the same with the one he ignores, doesn't mean a winner isn't worth acknowledging.
Fred has also missed the occasional bet due to mid afternoon naps. Everyone has got on these, but Fred hasn't. Are we not allowed to celebrate these?
An after time, for these purposes, is when no one has mooted a bet then comes on telling everyone afterwards about their coup, surely?

No.
I was pointing out that we backed all of Neil's suggestiions EXCEPT this one - which turned out to be a WINNER, not a loser. Just wanted to give credit where its due.

Now I was on this but Fred wasn't. Aftertime? Can we have some mediation from the wise leader please?

I agree completely Keith.
"As played", I only found the suggestion to back them late in the afternoon. Post-nap, my little mind works very slowly. I asked "which ones?" & "how much?" & the replies were a bit vague.
I felt obliged to keep the staking proportions the same as Neils (which I did) but I erred in making the very first bet (an 8 Pointer) a £10 Unit. Once I'd made that error, I was obliged to follow it through for all the bets I placed. Sods Law says I only missed one of Neil's bets, which was a winner.
I was immediately conscious (hence the "I've just invested £500, eek" Post) that relative to regular Fred stakes, I had bet far too much.
£5 per point in future? Makes complete sense to me. Note that it is unlikely that Neil will suggest that many bets, or units, very often.
I've no idea yet how we ended up on the BETTING EMPORIUM stuff, I had to deal with some blonde problems elsewhere late last night, which miffed me a tad. So I'm off to check the late results now. Squeeze incoming.....

£5 a point - agreed.
Only the 8 point ones? It depends how many there are overall, & how much time I have. Gonna be a bit uncomfy if I miss the winners & back the losers!
However, if I miss the suggested Line or Price, I will NOT bet them.
Of the 7 I backed, I got exactly the suggested Line/Price on 5. On the other two, I got one @ slightly better, & another slightly worse, so it balanced out as it turned out.

Not to pre-empt Tighty's Monday Morning Report, which will have taken him the best part of 2 hours work, these are the Betting Emporium results for Fred last night.
8 pts Under 40.5 in Browns/Vikings at 20/23 with Paddy Power and Boyles.
LOST
8 pts Under 44 in Patriots/Buccs at 10/11
WON
6 pts Rams +3.5 at 10/11
LOST
6 pts Under 48.5 Redskins/Lions at 10/11.
WON
4 pts Over 49.5 Packers/Bengals at 10/11 (would make good spread buy at 51).
WINNER, Fred did not get on.
6 pts Under 46.5 49ers/Colts at 10/11
WINNER
6 pts Jaguars +19 at 10/11.
LOST
6 pts Raiders +14.5 at 10/11
This is tonight.
So, of the 7 bets we placed, three were winners, & three were losers, with the crucial 7th one being tonight.
The one bet I missed was a WINNER, so that proved costly, as it made quite a difference overall. For those reasons, in future, I favour "all or none" to a £5 point stake.
Big thanks to BETTING EMPORIUM for a fun Sunday night.
