A loss of £25 with one completed losing bet, Radiator failing to warm up at Newmarket and losing and dealing a blow to the 1000 Guineas bet

"For a week, the Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Indians marched in lockstep toward what seemed to be a showdown next week in the American League Wild Card Game. Both teams won seven games in a row and remained separated by just a scant single game in the wild-card standings. At least 2 of the races look good candidates for this, so if someone wants to do the legwork, I'll get them on.

College football long terms bets both in play today.

Oregon are at home to cal (university of California) in their opening PAC 12 game. All 9 remaining oregon games will now be in conference against what is the cream of the west coast college teams. This should be a high scoring one sided drubbing, cal just aren't good this year especially defensively but do run a high tempo offence like oregon. The point total line was in the mid 80's when I last looked! A chance for Mariota to shine but not a day he is going to win the heisman due to the lack of quality opponent.

Texas A & M are also playing in conference at Arkansas, they were a 13 point favourite when I last looked so this would be stealing one against the head if a & m were to lose.

An interesting footy bet stateside in the MLS this weekend.  DC United travel to Toronto FC and they are the bottom two teams in their division with Toronto a touch better than DC and the game is priced on that basis with Toronto Evens and 21/20 in a couple of spots but DC have the US Open Cup final on Tuesday and that has been pretty much their focus since they reached the final and I just read that their coach Ben Olsen plans on playing a weakened side.  Team news is more important in the MLS than other football because the salary cap means that squads aren't as deep.  Think 60 quid or so is in order at 21/20 on Toronto although they are missing Ryan Nelsen who is obviously quite important I still cant see it going off odds against and when the syndicates get stuck in tomorrow they could go off very short.

It is a weird route to the Cambridgeshire.  It has some nice form, is picked up by the Racing Post as one to follow, then runs in a couple of all weather races for no obvious benefit, then shows up here lightly weighted.  It is either a cunning plan, or I have it hopelessly wrong and it comes last.  Can't say I am sure which.
