REMINDER

We have a £25 Free Bet with Betfair Sportsbook that we have to use before mid-afternoon tomorrow. I'd assume it will much easier to find a home for it today than tomorrow.

Ideally, something between 5/1 & 10/1, though as long as it is bigger than 5/1 it's fine, I think.

Good morning.

We had two bets on the UFC overnight, the results of which are here.....

http://www.cbssports.com/general/writer/gregg-doyel/24103051/ufc-166-velasquez-vs-dos-santos-tale-of-the-tape-live-blog-and-results

I think we lost the small bet (£5 @ 10/1) & won the bigger bet (£10 @ 13/5), the doubt in the latter case being we wanted our man to win "by decision" & he seens to have won by a "split decision" whatever that is. Probably a winner.

If we, well done scotty, a good start to Sunday.

Yeah was a winner.

Daily Report

Profit on Month £197.44

Outstanding Bets £2859.42

Free bets to use TWO 1x Betfair Sportsbook 21st, 1x William Hill 26th

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc&usp=drive_web#gid=30

A profit of £300 yesterday on a day with 20 bets placed

Pride of place goes to BigAdz for his £405 profit on John's Spirit

Also in the winner's column

- Pokerfan and Steven Gerrard for £58 net after his penalty at the Sports Direct Wonga Mall

- Chompy the tiddlearse tipster for Mendez-Laing scoring first for Peterborough for £26

- BigAdz again for Tartak e/w in the Johns Spirit Race for £15 net

- Scottytoohatty whose bigger UFC bet came in for +£21 on the pair

The losers?

£190 of losing horse bets, predominantly at Ascot, though there is a William Hill free bet to come. Tiddlearse showed a much under-rated skill, in redding out a position on Mukhdaram at 16. I was sharpening my pen when it went to 10 before the off, but fortunately for him, it lost in what was one of the races of the season as Farrh beat Cirrus Des Aigles and Ruler of the World

-£24 on the Paire tennis bet

-£10 as the wrong two Williams' of four Williams' scored tries for the Scarlets

Now, the longer term stuff. The worst moment of my week

The Good

* George Bailey scored 43 in the third contractual obligation ODI, and the key runs came from lower down the order, so Bailey extended his lead to 60 runs with 4 games to play

http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/records/batting/most_runs_career.html?id=8263;type=series

We are a long way off winning, but couldn't have hoped for a better start

* Tranmere got thumped by the Orient at home and are 22nd in L1, of 24. We have them to go down

* Kidderminster trounced Lincoln, are second in the Conference and well placed in our handicap bet

* Barnsley won, as their gallant march up the Championship table begins. Possibly

* Bamford scored, and the Coventry lads didn't. A decent day for the man whose bets only get put on in small amounts

* Reading won, and are 7th in the Championship and in the hunt

* Texas A and M Lost, their second of the season. I believe that if they lose at LSU in a few weeks our bet wins.

* Mariotta's Oregon won comfortably Friday night, and with Manziel losing and Louisville/Bridgewater losing the Heisman race is going his way currently

* Natalie Gumede did well on the dance-floor, but Sophie Ellis standard expression like a fish in a net Bextor went favourite again.

* Hannah Barrett appears to still be in X-Factor

The Bad and the Ugly

* Liverpool aren't finishing bottom half, and we didn't need them to win another point yesterday to tell us that

* Southampton's point at Old Trafford yet mroe confirmation that this is a team firmly on the up, and not firmly on the slide into the relegation heap

* Neither Hull or Cardiff Citys obtained any handicap bet points for us in tough trip to Everton and Chelsea

* Watford lost at home to Derby, but are still 6th

* Assombolonga seems to have misplaced his scoring boots in recent games

*  None of Vokes/Ings and Nugent scored

* Rodriguez didn't score

* Has Amat played this season

Today

The thread has The Beast playing for Clermont agains t Harlequins on Sky this afternoon in the Heineken Cup

Kevin Wow Wow wow and Neil Nasally challenged have the Bengals on the 6pm Sky game and the Chiefs on the 9pm Sky game

We also have a chunky bet on Tampa Bay £110 at 1.91 TB +9.5 at Atlanta. Is the plan to run that? Atlanta are badly injury hit, but Tampa Bay show few signs of wanting to play for their coach

Very good points spread we got though thanks to redarmi as per usual http://www.oddschecker.com/american-football/nfl/tampa-bay-buccaneers-at-atlanta-falcons/point-spread

Hibbard to rumble over the line first, flowing locks wafting in the breeze at Northampton this afternoon would be surprising but welcome

Fiona Fullarton to be evicted in Strictly come lasts forever please

Paddy McCourt. Likes a drink. Threw up at pitchside after scoring this Ricky Villa-esque goal yestersday

No pressure Paddy, but one swallow does  not make a season. We need more

One of your best ever Daily Reports Rich, with Chompy-bashing predominant, & gentle but inoffensive digs against most bets in every line.

How on earth do you keep up with all those bets? We had 20 bets yesterday alone & as many again "long term", sheesh.

Adzy was our star turn yesterday, & we have a bit of cushion now. Every month it seems that one big bet helps us across the profit line, & enables us to mess around & have fun bets along the way.

I'd love to turn a profit this month, that would be 6 profitable months in a row if we could. We really do have some specialist expertise in the thread.

Fred is geting so big & busy, it will implode eventually, the sheer workload is becoming a problem, but we've had a terrific ride along the way.

If you are looking for a home for the free bet, and only if the guys it belongs too can't find anything..but you are udner time pressure to use it

Vertonghen anytime goalscorer this afternoon around 9-1

Set-pieces etc against a Villa side. Aside from Vlaar and Clark Villa are not the biggest side, and in cursory glances at their games this season have struck me as vulnerable

Vertonghen scored 4 in 34 league games last year, none in 7 this, hasn't scored since 10th March but has 30 career goals in just over 200 games

Less statistically, I drove home from DTD, went to bed, and at 4.18am woke up and wrote his name down on a piece of paper at bedside, with a question mark next to it

Never let it be said I actually have a life.

If you are finding a home for the betfair freebet today a problem i'd suggest just putting it on something neutral or better compared to the betfair exchange. Is hard to place a bad bet that way. I'll suggest some options to help out.

Aston Villa v Spurs.

1-1 Draw@6-1, is very similar to exchange price after comish and bar bmu is best price.

Benteke fgs@6-1-would wait for team news to check he is def playing but more or less best priced and again very similarly priced on the exchange.

Def not a terrible bet. Note u won't qualify for their promo today when placing a free bet on a qualifying market as free bets don't count towards it.

Alternatively one can compare the horse prices on one of the various meetings and if it matches the exchange and is best priced that could be good too.

Obv it's a bonus if someone 'fancies' something and has a bit of info on the selection, but when in a rush needs must imo.

Happy to compare the prices and get bk on this, bit time consuming though so might take a while.

If in a rush and no other options appear I def think the 1-1 draw bet isn't the worst bet in the world, doubt either side would truely hate that result and can't see mucho goals in the game myself. 4-4 draw anyone? Smiley

Btw don't hate the Vertonghen suggestion but unforts he's 13-2 to score anytime with them not the 9--1 available elsewhere.

I am with Nico on the Betfair bet.  They aren't on odds checker and I just haven't the time on a Sunday to trawl their site.  The Hills bets are easier as you get a week and I come across bets as part of what is "business as usual" for me.

Morning Mr T.

Today Exeter travel to Glasgow, who are top of the Rabpro12 league with a 5-0 record. However the Rabpro league is nothing like as competitive as the Premiership. When the fixtures were announced I highlighted this fixture as Exeter's key to getting out of the qualifying group. They have had away victories over London Irish and Gloucester and the first half last week against Cardiff showed they can up the intensity needed in this competition. They will be buoyed by Cardiff's win yesterday over Toulon, who beat Glasgow by 40 points last week, and they will really like they chances today.

Last season we supported Exeter when the won at Llanelli and I think they will do so today. Expect a low scoring game but with Exeter edging it.

Suggest £20 Exeter @ 5/2 with Betfred.

I'm on something similar. I've had Exeter/Exeter at 4/1 has I think they will do the same as last week, come out all guns blazing and blow Glasgow away. Best of luck today.

This is a smidgen less at 12/5 with Betfair if we really want to get rid of that free bet...

Thanks Adam, but we really need something bigger than 5/2 ideally.

We will go with one of the earlier suggestions in all probability, am just having a dither for now.

Morning hector.

That seems a very generous price, especially after Exeter's efforts last week.

Good luck us.
