I wrote up Jacksonville +7 yesterday (usual place, and wanted Indy+7 too) and I note Neil concurred independently on ther Jags, which is an extremely contrarian view, in his write ups for today that have just gone up

Weekly reminder to look at the BE picks please tikay, £5 a point type stuff

Agree with this but you really ought to be able to get +7.5 and it is a big difference.  Also a reminder that we are on Tampa Bay +9.5 10/11 with Bwin from a week or two ago.  Line is currently 6.

Are you happy with over £100 on Tampa?

I wasn't sure if the size of the bet was strength of conviction or hoping to trade back as per last week?

As I said this morning Atlanta are hurting badly with injuries but are coming off their bye. There has been no sign this season of Tampa wanting to play hard for their autocratic coach.

Ben Cohen is still 13/2 wi Coral to be top man in strictly. This has come in, but I think he really has a chance. As far as I'm concerned he's heads up against the hollyoaks guy, who is better at the mo and has one of the popular partners, but so does Ben, and he's improving, is being smart coveting the pink vote by appearing in Attitude mag, seems a genuine nice guy, starts off as more famous than hollyoaks guy, and his uncle was in the 1966 world cup winning team, what more could u want. Wish I had a way of seeing the vote numbers like I used to have, but I would have to be at gunpoint to bet on hollyoaks guy at 1/5, Ben looks value to me

Tighty and his consultant have been discussing this and I was going to post (on their behalf) in the morning when the markets open (the walls have ears...)

We will see what the price looks like, but I'm very pleased to have backed him at 47/1. He's still a bit of distance behind the top three or four, but - as I will eternally say - picking the person who dances best week one isn't necessarily picking the winner in December. You want someone who doesn't take the audience's money every week, as they'll have none left by the final Smiley

It's a very open competition. Hollyoaks man is definitely better right now, but he has a few issues and he might not improve a lot. Ben I suspect is more likely to progress. But we are speculating, as fun as that is. Patrick also has a fair bit of promise. His weakness is his popularity: Ben has huge appeal and so does Kristina; plenty of people still don't know Anya's surname.

47/1 to win? I don't think I'd even back that now, but the top two are women, arguably three, and there's three abs no hopers in the fellas, 4 of the top 5 in the betting are women, but I don't think the top man, hollyoaks guy, is partic good.

Fwiw I think Nat is head n shoulders looking like the best dancer, tho they don't always win, they generally do. Sophie pretty good but is closer to gawky than graceful, Abbey just a bit behind those two with the newsreader milf and hollyoaks guy with big Ben improving to get into that group

Darren Gough won in a final with Colin Jackson and Zoë Ball, both of whom were better dancers throughout the comp.

Ali Bastian and Ricky Whittle were both better dancers than Chris Hollins, but it was the BBC presenter who won.

Against that, Mark Ramprakash and Alesha Dixon led from start to finish. They were head and shoulders above their fields, though, where Gumede is the best of a group of three or four.

All IMO, of course.

This guy is our main threat in the Heisman race now imo.

Loads of hype before he even played a game, has been awesome so far and is on a decent looking Florida State team. This years Johnny Manziel basically.

Ben & Kristina
Salsa to ‘Hard to Handle’ by Black Crowes
Last week, Ben came out of his shell and showed he could really work it on the dancefloor. So were we in for a repeat of that this week? The answer is yes! Ben used his build to his advantage and showcased his muscles with some lifts and throws. Still not quite loose and Kristina is being very clever in disguising this in the choreography with lots of darting around in front of him. Overall this is massive improvement from what we have seen, Ben is progressing and working hard, the signs are good. Definitely emerging as the dark hose this year and the ripping off of shirts certainly won’t harm his chances.

Natalie & Artem
Quickstep to ‘Yeah!’ by Usher
We very nearly had to wave goodbye to Natalie this week after she suffered a painful back injury but showing how committed and brave she is, Natalie refused to let a little thing like pain stop her hitting the dance floor with Artem! The routine as we’ve come to expect was full of content, executed wonderfully by Natalie. Such a great fusion of jazz and quickstep dreamed up by Artem and they captured the essence of the dance beautifully. It really was one hell of a quickstep! Jazzy, stylish, beautiful neck rolls from Natalie and such rapid footwork. Utterly brilliant. Artem was in no doubt one proud teacher at the end of that dance, his passion is a joy to see.

Betting Emporium bets, adjusted to £5 per point would be

£40 Jacksonville +7.5 (vs San Diego) at 10/11.

£40 UNDER 43.5 Total Points in Miami vs Buffalo at 10/11.

£40 UNDER 45.5 Total Points Green Bay vs Cleveland at 10/11.

Not sure if you want to do all three, if Neil would pick one for you, how you wish to proceed....

Maybe a good compromise two do to.

As you can beat the Buf price and will probs strruggle to get the GB price, maybe do JAX +7.5 and BUF/MIA <44 ?

Fred's been a little unfortunate that Paulinho hasn't scored. He's been close a few times.

I remember a few weeks ago Tighty came up with an interesting angle regarding a ref in the NFL.  Who was it and which games does he have this week?

I posted about 20 pages ago on Thursday, but didn't recieve a response

Carl Cheffers

He has Denver at Indy

Indy+7 is the first home underdog he has had since I did the original piece

I particularly liked it because the public money is all for Manning and we might see +7.5 near kick off

Cheffers is currently 33 of 37 home winners, outright, over six years

Not sure we will even get +7 but if we did I think it would be a bet.  I am fairly indifferent at +6 though tbh.
