Fred will be a bit distracted today, with Tighty & I at the SPT Grand Final in Notts, the Elders, Lessers, Aftertimers, Posh Blokes &, God forbid, Dubai & Flushy, will mostly be at the Fred Dog's Dinner & Piss Up. I'll be trying to do a bit of both, as well as having a baby this afternoon. Tighty will be the wet nurse.
Fred service will be intermittent today, but keep sticking the stuff up please, others like to follow, & if Fred can get on, we will.
Enjoy your weekend, whatever you do, & I hope you all get the lot.

So, the goal of the season award was won in the week.
No, not Zlatan Ibrahimovic's 237mph wonderstrike. No no no.
Kasami's van Bastenesque spanker? Close, but no cigar.
Can't believe you've missed it. This was in the Irish Women's First Division. Take a bow, Peamount United's Steph Roach:
Pretty good actually. Both of the crowd went wild, too.
See you later Simon. I'm dreading everyone being bladdered by the time I arrive, try & keep them sober this afternoon please.......

Say it quietly, but Pakistan are still batting.

And Australia aren't, which is also good.

Match officially abandoned?
Think we'll take that. They can abandon the rest of them too.....

BET SUGGESTION
another much maligned first/anytime bet
http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/championship/huddersfield-v-leeds/first-goalscorer
http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/championship/huddersfield-v-leeds/anytime-goalscorer
Suggest £7 Danny Ward first scorer 20/1 betfred
Suggest £8 Danny Ward anytime 8/1 betfred
My angle here is that James Vaughan is out for the home side, without him they do not have anything like a prolific scorer. Ward has 7 in 74 for huddersfield which is hardly impressive but a lot of these games were more left wing back. He will at times be the second most forward player today and at the standout betfred prices is worth a small bet.
Co-incidentally i have just been id in a betfred shop trying to place the bet. Quite flattered really as even at 30 i have had a hard innings and it shows

For Southampton v Fulham this evening, under 2.5 goals is 2.15 on Marathon. Southampton have had 11 games in a row go under, and 7 of Fulham's last 9 away games have too. If you've watched these 2 teams play this season it's fairly evident why. Also, under Jol, 11 of Fulham's last 12 away games against "top 8" teams have gone under. Really don't understand the odds, team news has nothing to suggest it will go over.

I am sure the hot topic in Wimbledon today will be the BCS college football standings etc..
Anyway todays games involving fred:
12.UCLA (+23.5) at 3.Oregon- UCLA is probably the 2nd best team on the Ducks schedule and this is a primetime game even college gameday is in Eugene* for the game (think Soccer am on location). Great spotlight for Mariota to show his skills once again especially with a geniune rival now, UCLA also have Anthony Barr on defence who is very likely to go near the top of next years NFL draft.
Jameis Winston our main Heisman rival has a home game against Wake Forest which will be a beatdown probably.
Vanderbilt (+18.5) at Texas A&M- We only need one more loss to lock this up for fred. Can't see this being it today though, Vanderbilt are comptent but our constantly hampered by being the only SEC team that cares about academics. If you are not the brightest you can get a university education in America by being awesome at sport but Vandy is one of the few who actually require you to actual get good grades to get on the sports teams.
