Great day for Arsenal/Arsenal bet

I was just going to post the same. Are we on e/way or just top 3?
I think Arsenal have exceeded expectations but I believe a large part of the reasoning for the bet was the fact that the other top 3 teams all changed manager this year and all are finding it hard to adjust.
City look the closest to clicking but United are so far behind now and Chelsea are so unbalanced, it's unreal. The defence is a shambles which is very surprising for a Mourinho side, the midfield is ridiculously overstocked and none of the front line is convincing.
Suarez's form might be a double edged sword. He's playing so well that Arsenal, Chelsea and Real, among others, might all come calling again in January.

are we sure suarez scored 2? bb says 1

No, as stated previously, it was a big deflection. I doubt he'll be credited with it.

Blundell Park Grimsby.

If you've been you'll never forget it. I loved it, in a masochistic sort of way.

It's actually in Cleethorpes and you turn off the Cleethorpes road heading to Grimsby, go down a terraced street and there, with the main stand with its back to the North Sea, is the ground

Sit in the Findus stand on the other side, elevated above the rest of the ground and look out over the sea and prepare for the coldest experience of your footballing life

The games at the Grismby ground ares played out with an all-pervading aroma of fish, and the wind whips in through the corners between the stands to make it quite the experience.

Prawn Sandwich it is not. Jellied Eels it is

Today Grimsby Town host Northampton Town in the FA Cup Second Round

Grimsby lie fourth in the Conference, Northampton 2nd bottom of the football League

I've seen Northampton this season live, and there is not a lot of difference between them and the top conference sides. Not a great deal of talent, and under Aidy Bothroyd the style is one dimensional at best.

Northampton were also on TV in the first round of the cup, where they beat Bishops Stortford 2-1

Grimsby beat league side Scunthorpe in a replay in the first round, albeit this was a Scunthorpe side struggling before the departure of Brian Laws, again. They drew at home then won at the world's worst new ground, so bad that they are about to replace it, Glanford Park

Grimsby are full time and this is a tough tie for a league side, let alone a struggling one, let alone in early December.

Before I looked at prices, I had Grimsby evens at best for this. They rested players for an FA Trophy game at home on Tuesday, and will be well up for a shot at the third round draw

My interest was piqued when I saw that we can get a shade under 6/4 with BetVictor

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/fa-cup/grimsby-v-northampton/winner

I think 29/20 is a very fair price indeed, and recommend £20 at said price for the plucky Mariners to beat the Cobblers and hopefully draw Manchester United

Fish and chips on me if it wins

Well worth it, great story, great bet.

Not a rec but have a sneaky that Posh will fill their boots this afternoon v Trannies. Hogan Ephraim a bit of value @ 9/2 to score any time with Skybet for those that can.

Rubbish. Not even Recommended. HE rebuffed US.

if the stats and reds thinks Man united in present form have no chance of a top 4 finish surely we should be looking at laying the 2.68ish on betfair?

(not a bet suggestion btw)

I would be cautious on that. Yes, United are very poor but question marks remain about all the others too. And whilst United may be 15 points behind Arsenal if Arsenal win tomorrow, United aren't that far behind the others.

Agree, this is all a bit knee-jerk to me. Off the back off a great rn, 12 games unbeaten (?), they suffered two bad reverses. It's hardly the emd of the world, & they have deep resources.

Reverse psychology obv. Thought if I said it's not a rec, a bet might actually get put on for once?

Oi oi!

The 6/5 with Boyles about us winning on the IOW on Tuesday can't last. We are such a confidence team these days.

Midweek in the Champions League against Porto, Atletico Madrid will be odds against at home for the first time this season. It looks to be priced on Porto's need to win and in expectation of the group winners taking it easy. Atletico never take it easy and having rested strikers Costa and Villa in today's cup game it suggests they will be taking the game more seriously than the bookies have estimated.

Suggested bet £30 on Atletico Madrid @ 13/10 with Coral http://www.oddschecker.com/football/champions-league/atletico-madrid-v-porto/winner

Nevermind 6/5, the 11/1 might be looking even better by Wednesday!
