Doesn't somebody normally put up a tip for Mount Athos?

6am at Sha Tin, Paddy Power beating Betfair with 13/2, and 13/10 beats the place money too.

Has been subject to good reports from Hong Kong and The Fugue has supposedly not travelled well.

Suggest £20 each way Mount Athos 6am Sha Tin (Hong Kong)

Thanks Doobs. How was Sandown?

Maxed @ £12.22 EW, & price down to 6/1.

BET PLACED

Sandown was very good, helped by a BigAdz winer and a couple I stumbled upon.  Met with Ed as a part celebration from the days I used to win at poker.

Newcastle handicap bet looking good right now, others maybe not so much.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

C'est moi. My favourite horse. I gather they are keen on the old fella, but didn't want to burden him with a recommend. Hopefully he won't read this and get all flustered.

Good morning.

The overnight news is not so good, & I don't just mean the cricket - both our horses came up a little short in Sha Tin I'm afraid.

Smith stops Thompson in the 4th. Outclassed.

No worries Bazza, it happens.

Midweek in the Champions League against Porto, Atletico Madrid will be odds against at home for the first time this season. It looks to be priced on Porto's need to win and in expectation of the group winners taking it easy. Atletico never take it easy and having rested strikers Costa and Villa in today's cup game it suggests they will be taking the game more seriously than the bookies have estimated.

Suggested bet £30 on Atletico Madrid @ 13/10 with Coral http://www.oddschecker.com/football/champions-league/atletico-madrid-v-porto/winner

Morning Mr McG, & thanks, I like the look of this one.

I was a little slow out of the blocks with this one, completely missed it in fact, & we missed the 13/10, but I took 6/5 to a slightly lesser sum (£25).

Except for a miracle the golf is over for us. McDowell had a +3 round putting him 9 behind Tiger with Spieth an unfortunate 21 behind.

Ugh.

We shall draw a veil of silence over these unfortunate matters.

One might say that they failed to Shi Tin.

Daily Report

Profit on Month £156.21

Outstanding Bets £3114.51

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc&usp=drive_web#gid=33

A profit of £139 yesterday from an excellent Saturday where profits exceeded £200 brought back by disappointing overnight results

In order of profit the winners were

- Saphir du Rheu winning like a vibrator at an Ann Summers Party (Hard held) for +£87

- Derby County Beating Blackpool 5-1 from 0-1 down for £50 top tipping that by tikay on whose coat-tails The Camel and others rode

- Sire De Grugy at Sandown £44

- Leinster pulverising Northampton with a brilliant attacking display that had the game won by half time £32

- Grimsby beating Northampton at the home town of the Fish Finger for £29

The losers

- Taquin du Seuil finished 3rd - £25. Made a bad mistake and was top two without that

- Both Hong Kong Horses -£49

- The boxer - £20

- Jordan Speith -£10, booked the loss 21 shots behind in the NWMC

It was a tough day for many of the long term bets, where the sands are shifting quickly on the tides of changing form and circumstances

Lets start with the good news

Suarez scored again. Now 14 for the season two ahead of Aguero. Watching MOTD last night I was of the opinion that his deflected shot was on target too, and there must be a possibility he will get credited with the 4th goal

Newcastle's victory at the former Theatre of Dreams set aside memories of the capitulation at Swansea in midweek. We have had a good start on that handicap bet

Paulinho ventured across the half way line, recovered from his dis-orientation with these unfamiliar surroundings long enough to score his second of the season for Tottenham. We need him to score 4 more this season

- Arsenal top 3 bet had a good day with City, United and Chelsea all failing to win

- Nalaga scored two tries for Clemont in their 33-12 win in the HCRU yesterday. Clermont top the group and should go deep in the competition

Disappointments yesterday

- Cardiff's form for the handicap bet

- Crystal Palace to finish bottom, which looked the biggest certainty a month ago, now looks in real trouble

- Liverpool's win and Southampton's excellent performance and point versus City

- Leicester's second defeat of the week

- Watford losing a two goal lead to draw 3-3 at Leeds

- Reading losing their unbeaten home record in losing at home to Bournemouth

- Barnsley. (copy and pasted from last week). At least Doncaster and Sheff Wed lost too for the South Yorkshire club bet

- None of Ings, Vokes, Nugent, Rodriguez scored. In bad news for the Championship scorers, McCormack scored again

- Ashley boring must be at risk on the SCD eliminiation programme tonight

- Napoli lost the lead twice to be held 3-3 by Udinese

- Navas was on the bench and again no assists

Today

Medard and Gear in action for Toulouse in the HC

NFL: Cincinnati, Titans, Eagles, Quarterbacks, Chiefs all in action. Cincinnati at home to Indy is really the most crucial of these. Biggest position and a win takes them nearer winning the AFC North

Arsenal v Everton. We need Arsenal

Darren Bent for Fulham v Villa

The cricket

Knew I had forgot something

Cook's hook in the third over at 1-0 was a head-scratcher. Think we can write off him for top scorer at this stage

Bell's turn to throw in a bad dismissal overnight. Two centuries in three tests from here? Doubtful

Double hundred in the series? Must have chances

Broad is six ahead of Anderson, and Perth should suit him more than Anderson

Anyway, realistically, we have all our eggs in one basket.

Not too bad really, as few predicted the scale of the mullering that we are getting out there, and we could have had a lot more exposure - probably most of it on England

Hooking? Needing to bat for 180 overs?

Assombalongalonga is still 20-1 for League One golden boot for anyone that didn't play pre-season. Crazy price.
