Posh v Swindon (first leg) in the Paintpot is to be televised on 5 February.

Robert Redford and Idris Elba not nommed for the Screen Actors Guild Awards. The pair take a massive chunk out of the Best Actor Oscar market. Thoughts anyone?

Also, bwin go 4/11 Denver, 2/1 San Diego to score the first touchdown, so 22/1 Tamme first td scorer defo a lot better than 12/1 first Denver scorer imo.

Crime Time

Cant help thinking Man City at home to Arsenal should be a lot shorter for the home team.

Putting my supporters hat to one side I had this at 4/7 for a Citeh win.

As a Gooner, our record to the "Big 3" has been appalling for years, and we even lost again to Man U this season. ......incred I know!!

The last week has seen some tough games and Arsenal not perform very well, whereas City will be bouncing after their defeat of Munich. They are also awesome at home.

17/20 just looks too big with BMU.

Trying to be objective, so need others thoughts please.

agree with this

Giroud had this say to say after the game last night

Been following this thread for a while now and thought maybe I could contribute something. Coincidentally I have just had a bet on this match this morning, I've gone for City /FT best price 2/1 with Betfair Sportsbook. No injurys, (apart from Nastasic but irrelevant really as De Michelis is competent), key players rested midweek (Kompany, Yaya, Aguero, Negredo), and Silva got a much needed 70 minutes after injury. Arsenal played a close to full strength team last night and as has been said already are going to be jaded at best.

City won 7/7 at home this season, albeit none of the opponents have been as strong as Arsenal, but the half time/ full time has been a winning bet in 6 of the 7 so far.

So Man City / FT 2/1 Betfair Sportsbook.

4/7 can't be right.  4/7 is a long way from the 5/4 or 11/8 they should be if the teams were even and equally rested.  10/11 would probably be good if you could get it.

Edit hello RobS

Edit Took the 2/1 with Sportsbook, pls don't say Chompy.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

Tamme is value in both/every market imo.  Manning likes to spread his love around and keep all of his receivers happy too so he will probably be keen to get Tamme a TD unlike a lot of other QB's who tend to just go to their trusted receivers when they have injury problems.

Ok here you go but some of this is going to be horribly results oriented

Tightend - for all his hardwork and some decent well thought out analysis
Horseplayer, Big Adz - afraid to say I get these two mixed up(!) but appear v knowledgeable about horses (I know nothing other than betting on horses at 1.01 when they have already crossed the line is a profitable business).
Bazzaboy - knows his boxing, fighting(?), good to have expert knowledge in niche sports

Had to search through posts for final one but it's a.sparrow. I love betting on yellow cards lol (great fun shouting at the telly imploring the ref to book someone), Ashley Williams at 15/2 on Monday I think was a great spot (told you it was results oriented).

bet365 are offering even money that no English team makes it through to the final.

It looks a big price given two of the four will be unseeded in Monday's draw after finishing runners-up in their groups, namely Manchester City and Arsenal.

no English side made it past the last 16 last season.

The other two sides still in are Chelsea and Manchester United. Neither of whom look in the form and/or strength to hit the final to me, either of whom could hit the big boys in the open draw from the QF onwards

I know this is tieing up money til May at Evens but realistically no English team to make Lisbon is way shorter than Evens isn't it?

Best prices to make final:

Man City 13/2
Chelsea 7/1
Man Utd 9/1
Arsenal 10/1

I appreciate that they are connected, however, we know that the prices should all be bigger if betting to 100% and taking the reverse as a four timer is shorter than 4/6 for all NOT to make the final so evens in MASSIVE. MAX BET.

Agree, but I can't find the market on Bet 365, anyone?

Hi Doobs,

I couldn't say Chompy, waiting for a decent footy bet that doesn't involve some obscure village football team......... guess I might be waiting a while!
