Sunderland take the lead, guna be as high as kites if they hold here.  Lets hope they get those energy drinks, proteins and carbs down them sharpish so they aren't knackered, they've given a lot tonight.

In NFL - I'm an expert you know - Saturday, for Sunderland, will be what we pros call a let down spot. Bit like a sandwich game, but different. Might even be 1-20 ATS off a road game in a windy stadium off the back off a midweek game v a major franchise. .

Lol i remember that post well, was it redarmi or camel maybe who posted about let down spots and morale?  I like to this Puyet will continue his reinvigoration of Sunderland and they can start to a few points together after some decent performances.  My confidence in this spot is tempered by the fact that they may be in a let down spot and fatigued from tonight.  Also the price isn't brilliant, but then again i don't rate Norwich.

I hope they win but I have no qualms if anyone disagree's.

Camel will be proud of that post, threads original mission to turn you  from an 'ice cream' to a good punter has certainly been successful, and long may it continue for everyone who enjoys this thread.

Tikay, you sound as happy as a man who thought a cat had done its business on his pie, but it turned out it was an extra big blackberry.

Did the multitable exhibition pay dividends?

Tim Tim Sherwood doesn't strike me as manager material at all. Let alone of a supposed big club. Any valoo against him?

He has no chance of the job permanently, imo. RobS maybe, TimS, not so much.

I had to laugh today, when Hoddle noncholanty threw his hat into the ring, he said something like "I'm willing to step in to help out".

Delusion is a weird thing.

Unless we were waiting for a big in the summer (Klinsmann, Capello or the-like), I would expect Spurs to appoint a full timer. I would find it really surprising if we were to stick with a caretaker in such a key period in the development of the squad.

Darts Update

Still no 100+ averages.  Looks like we will come up dry in the first round.

I was more in shock than laughing at this Smiley

Did you read an actual quote of him saying this, or just in the article you read ?

Sherwood and Hoddle two favs wow

Agree on Sherwood keep reading about what a highly rated coach he is just think he is basically levys earpiece and seems very much a return to 'arry which presumably Levy wanted to move from when appointing Avb?

Going to have a good look for a couple of rags against the field today

It made me smile somewhat, too.....

No, I never saw an actual quote, but numerous sources stated "Hoddle is willing to help", is "ready to step in" & even "Hoddle is awaiting a call from Spurs" (!)

Jeez, nothing stranger than arrogance & delusion, is there?

Here's one typical example, but there are numerous pieces about. It's almost as if a PR & lobbying campaign has been mounted to get Hoddle the job.

This site below - "Zapsportz.com" - (a truly dreadful resource, as bad as bad can be) has no less than THREE different articles, all suggesting Hoddle is awaiting the call.

https://www.zapsportz.com/http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2525212/Glenn-Hoddle-ready-step-Spurs-boss-approached.html

What? Eh? Zapsportz.com is part-owned by WHO? Glenn Hoddle? Wow, it's almost as if he is desperate for the gig.

I know a lot has been said recently and we have all undoubtedly heard plenty of stories about the possible successor to Andre Villas-Boas over the last few days. A lot of names have been bandied about and one in particular has obviously been the focus of my attention.

As a devoted fan, I think it's only fair and proper that I say something at this point and, as blonde is a safe and welcoming community, I hope you won't mind that I say what I have to say here first, before anything goes to the associated press.

I would just like to declare I am happy in my current job and that, therefore, I wish to end speculation linking me with the manager's position at spurs. I am obviously touched and honoured to have been mentioned as a front runner, but now really wouldn't be the right time for me or for Tottenham.

Thank you for your understanding.

Oddsdchecker have Tal @ 16/1 for the 'Spurs job.

Current favourite is Santa Claus @ 5/4, with David Icke @ 3/1.
