For anybody that might want a bet on Dancing on Ice, here are a few that ’I've pulled out of the pack.

Hayley Tamaddon is second Favorite at 4-1, I have taken her over Ray Quinn, the 13/8 best price is just far to short for him when essentially they are nearly the same. Ray might be a better skater (was top on judges scorecards every week he skated won he won his series) but Hayley had a higher percentage of the public vote +80% in the final (Rays was in the 70%’s). Neither should be in the bottom two and if they both get to the final I’m taking Hayley to be more popular due to her currently being on Coronation Street, known from her Emmerdale days which are exactly the people that will be watching and voting on this thing.

The only others I think might sneak into it I’ve looked at each way (Ladbrokes have got the best offer ¼ 1,2,3):

Kyran Bracken is best priced 10-1 with them – he could win as he was the lowest scorer out of the three in his final but was very popular with the public and won (I think at the time people couldn’t believe a lumbering rugby playing would be any good, but he was) He then won the champion of champions (but this was straight after his main win so probably doesn’t mean much, As he lost the following year on the Christmas special to Suzanne Shaw who had just won the main series). I just think the 10-1 is too big, I would have him more at 11/2. Ive took the each way with Ladbrokes.

At 14-1 Suzanne Shaw is to big a price, she also won her series and I might have fancied her for the win here but she is not as in the public eye as Hayley and it will really depend on how she comes across on the show (no problem with her skating ability as she has also scored a perfect 60). I would have had her more around 7-1 which is available with a few.

Both Shaw and Tamaddon keep the same partner (In fact Hayley and her partner are childhood friends who has won this 3 times and been on every series and is defiantly a fans favourite, he also won last year with Beth Tweedle). Kyran’s original partner is no longer on the show.

Dangers:

Ray Quinn is favourite because he was top every week from the judges and was popular with the public, But he is not in a soap anymore and has not come off the X Factor like last time.

Beth Tweedle won last year and is an Olympian, but I’m sure that will only get her so far, especially as she is not just coming off an Olympic medal. Her best price is 12-1 with sky so there maybe a couple of quid on the win,  but there is no each way.

Sam Attwater won his series in not a particularly strong year, but also his partner that he won with is paired with Gareth Gates, not sure why she would be with Gareth as he was only 4th on his year. Sam is also no longer in a soap so may not be as popular with the public. I think 8-1 to short.

I cant see any of the others winning, a few are in for the comedy value so will last a few weeks but cant be saved buy the public forever, but it will cause the middle of the pack to be in trouble as they will end up in the bottom two and someone must go.

There is not a lot of money on Betfair at the moment for this however what there is has Hayley 7/2 Kyran 15/2 and Suzanne 7/1, these are the three for me.

Credentials: Certainly do not want to after time, but just to back up my track record, I had the winner of the X factor at 8-1, I had 2nd in Celebrity big brother at 25-1 and i had 2nd in Im a Celeb get me out of her at 34-1. This time i thought i would share my thoughts, watch them all lose now!

Aah, just seen the £50 win. Not really what was recommended, same as when we backed Poshies @ 21/20 last Saturday, but this bet is fine.

I'm expecting him to start around 5/2, so you could even lay some back at, let's say, 3.7, maybe £30 to give you effecitvely £20 at 6/1.

Actually, do that now imo, lay £30 @ 3.7 and keep it up IR.

I have a suggested bet in the Wednesday v Bournemouth game.

Although Wednesday have seen results improve and the desire of the players has picked up, Wednesday haven't been playing well (other than against Leicester).

Wednesday have a lack of creativity from a very poor midfield and have been relying on Connor Wickham up front who has scored 4 or 5 goals in his loan spell. The rumour is he is out injured today, leaving Wednesday with one "recognised" striker in Nuhui (an Austrian lad who is about as quick as me).

Even with Wickham in the team Wednesday's goals scored in last 6 games are 1 0 2 0 1 0

Bournemouths goals in last 6 games are 0 2 0 1 0 1

Wednesday will be looking to grind out a win (which would be massive for us against a relegation rival and for Gray too if he is going to get the manager's job)

Gray might even be tempted to play 4-5-1 given the striker situation.

Anyway, 2 poor teams, struggling to score goals. I can see it being 1-0 to either team.

I suggest £20 on under 2.5 goals at 10/11.

After several weeks of Heineken Cup action, the English teams return to Premiership action this weeken with the stand out game being league leaders Saracens hosting Premiership Champions Leicester in one of the games of the season


Saracens have won their last seven matches in all tournaments, and have topped the Aviva Premiership Rugby table since the end of round 2

They have played fourteen games at their new Allianz Park venue, on an artificial surface. and have lost only once: 13-27 to Northampton in last season’s Premiership semi-final.

Leicester Tigers have won their last six contests in all tournaments since their 16-23 defeat to Harlequins at Welford Road in the Premiership on 2nd November. The Tigers have not lost away from home in any tournament since visiting Wasps in the Premiership 27th October. It is their first visit to this new ground

Director of rugby Richard Cockerill makes a number of changes to the squad following two physical contests with Montpellier in the Heineken Cup and in line with the England Elite Player Squad agreement. Both squads have strength in depth though, and this shapes up to be a mighty contest.

The markets quote Saracens supremacy at 13 points on the spread, or conversesly Leicester +13 at 10/11 Bet365. This is interesting as on three occasions this season the home supremacy for Saracens has been 5,7 and 14 points, against sides not as strong as Leicester.On the other two occasions, Saracens won in one sided fashion against weakened teams.

Because this is an artificial pitch, games at the Allianz can be high scoring being far less affected by underfoot conditions at this time of year than other grounds. This is notable for Leicester as, whilst most would expect them to lose this game, they do have considerable ability out wide, with pace and flair of the likes of Goneva and Benjamin to score tries and keep this one close. It is also set to be blustery in North London, which may affect the ability for other side to put up points via penalty kicks. Get enough ball and Leicester will be a threat.

The value here is to take Leicester with the spread, and expect a closer game than the market expects

Credit where credits due, nothin eccentric about the basketball bets and Tikay pressed all the right buttons n everything. Asked for a tiddlearse bet on one as really wasn't sure, but the other I was much more convinced on n woulda played with an even bigger handicap. Restrictions are annoying too, woulda preferred bit more on both, hard to reccy an amount when ur not sure what's gna be allowed so think the old boy did ok.

T-wolves were winning when I fell asleep, looks like a weird game. Was a shot wi 6 secs left but it missed unfortunately. Will look at tonight's now....

Celestial Halo is out of the Long Walk (2.25) and it's 1/2 At Fishers Cross, 4 Reve De Sivola (only 4/1 in one spot), 8 Bar, with five runners.

Reve De Sivola won this last year and At Fishers Cross didn't jump brilliantly on his comeback.
