JaffaCake, Boyles are doing an enhanced treble on the basketball:

Orlando -3.5, Charlotte -5 and Portland -9 all to win is 13/2

I know Fred doesn't like multiples, but just thought I'd stick it up for anyone that might, subject to Mr Cake's approval. I notice that two of them are whole point lines. Does that make a big difference in NBA compared to half point spreads? Obviously, you don't want pushes.
Sorry mate, was awol and the games have started, at least orlando have. Whenever I see these I always check oddschecker and add all three to basket and see how much value it actually is, generally these specials are not much better than what's already out there, if at all. Go if u backed it tho, all playing terrible teams.

For the Paddy offer I've backed GSW -13 tho it all looks in the price, another one I wouldn't be betting without the concession. Did text Tikay to ask him to make this another tiddlearse bet. The Lakers have lost their first 4 choice point guards, including Kobe, who was only filling in, but they had last night and they won then. They should get a royal beating tonight, here's hoping.

Thanks Jeff, we got a middlearse £22.

Apols on the Lowestoft bet. Apparently Dulwich played terribly, their worst performance for the whole season. Perhaps the conditions and state of the pitch didn't help their short passing game, but considering the form of Lowestoft and their injury crisis, the value was probably there. Oh well.

On Palace, sorry for anyone that got on the matchday bets I put up. I did say at the top of it but didn't really emphasise, which was a mistake by me, that we really needed 2 defensive central midfielders ready or we might have been in trouble. We started a right back in central midfield and a centre back at right back, and had a left back who is only coming back from injury. It was an awful lot of destabilisation and it showed. Their goals amounted to a deflection, an OG and a penalty, without much else happening for them, but Palace were not offering much else either. They were not incredible by any stretch of the imagination, but they did enough to beat a very weak Palace side.

I still hold without the merry go round in our team selection and two central midfielders, and Mariappa never playing as a right back again (he prefers CB), there is probably value on Palace to stay up. It will look particularly appetising after the almost inevitable Man City loss in the game after next at their gaff.

oh come on Ant it could have been 7-0! We hit the bar, Cabaye could have had a hat trick Ben Arfa created more in 10 minutes than the whole of palace in 90. Defensively we just didnt let you into our box and as expected Bannan got swallowed by Tiote et al and didnt come back out in the second half. Pardew totally owned Pulis today.

The injury list at Wednesday is mounting at the moment & I'm not sure when they are going to be back. We aren't a good team when wickham and Antonio are playing, they are now injured & I'm not sure they'll be back for Blackburn game. We also have gardener, zayatte, Buxton and Nuihi out too, we have nothing up front really.

I am not sure if we have the attacking threat to score at Blackburn, so they probably only need to score one.

They are 10/11, it won't be around long! Suggest £55, however could really do with rick posting as he is more down with who is actually injured and how long for!

Not to mention 2 bad games v Wigan and Bournemouth in last few days.

Who played up front yesterday Aaron, looking at the team pre game they looked very light in attacking threats. Did Halen play in an advanced role when he came on?

Daily Report

Profit on Month £434.24

Outstanding Bets £3081.54

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc&usp=drive_web#gid=33

A successful Saturday with an overall profit of £215

The winners were

- Yaya Toure first goal scorer for Manchester City at 6-1 and 13-2 for £160. Three out of three for thread debutant Rob S

- Reve De Sivola relished the rain and galloped the rest into submission, winning the thread £119 net after part was laid off

- Erik Guay gave many of us some Saturday morning excitement in winning at Val Gardena in the Dolomites +£32

- Special Catch won at Haydock +£31

- Natalie Gumede placed in strictly +£25

- The Golden State Warriors beat the spread in the NBA +£20

The losers

- Pendara and At Fishers Cross - £50. AFC unseated at the last when beaten but possible second for a free bet

- Sheff Wed/Bournemouth goals -£22. They lost 2-1 in a u2.5 goals bet

- Leicester +12 -£33. Losing by 8 at half time, against a "15-20 point wind" it looked ok. Not quite, though, they were pulverised in the second half to the delight of the Saracens prawn sandwichers

- Harlequins -£24, only scoring 3 points at Bath

- Huybrechts -£20 losing at the PDC

- Dulwich Hamlet -£21, losing to nine fit men

The usual Sunday round-up for a busy Saturday

Good news

* Suarez 2 goals took him to 19 for a season that started for him in October. Now 1/6 to win. Perhaps we should be thinking about greening out

* Newcastle's win yesterday means the good start for the handicap bet has continued. Currently one off the top of the BMU handicap list

* Leicester beating QPR means they are one of four teams seperated by three points at the top of the Championship

* Ings scored again for Burnley. He now has 13, 2nd in the scorers list with Rhodes behind McCormack (16)

* Assombolonga scored for Peterborough and now has 11. Quite a heap at the top of the charts as is shown on http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/league-one/top-scorers

* Crystal Palace lost. With Sunderland drawing they are now a win away from putting Palace back on the bottom for that bet

The so-so

* Hull's point at West Brom has them in the handicap pack at this point

* Sheff U another point, this time at Stevenage. This is a slow burn turn-round under Non League Nigel. Seems like they desperately need a striker in January

* Watford drew at Ipswich, and the top half bet remains delicately poised

* Barnsley drew at Leeds, a good point but much like Sheff U, we need wins, and quick. With Doncaster and Sheff W losing we are still in touch in the top South Yorkshire club bet, though its a bit like comparing which of three ugly gargoyles you prefer. You have to choose one, but its not easy!

The bad

* Reading lost their second home game on the trot, and ow go to Leicester on Boxing Day

* Portsmouth lost again, two in a row for the new manager

* Crystal Palace handicap, an inauspicious start

* Cardiff losing at Liverpool. Bad news for Cardiff handicap and Liverpool to finish bottom half, a bet I have to mention every week but would rather not.

* Villareal lost at home to Sevilla, and to make it worst Atletico won again to go top of La Liga

A busy and important NFL today, more on that tomorrow

Got you, ty.

Adzy is correct, Ant, there are no apologies here.

Just remember that Fred is about finding exceptional value. If they lose, they lose, it matters not, we just want to place good bets. If we keep doing the right things, at the right prices, we cannot lose.

It's no different to poker. In poker, if your game is technically correct, you'll lose plenty of times, but over the long term, you MUST win.

Also, in 95% of all cases, bookmakers prices are not far out, & they reflect all information in the domain. We just need to identify the incorrect prices.

Keep the recommends coming, but remember it is value not volume we are seeking.
