tikay boyles should have refunded your stake on the tennis as per there rules
Remind me why, John?
pretty sure there rules state refund if match not complete
Oh, I see - the Bogroll match?
We went with Ladbrokes in the end.
hector suggested boylesports, as they were a better price, 23/10. But they refused to accept my bet, in any sum. I tried for every sum from £20 down, & they would not take it. For the rofl, I typed in £1, & then £0.10, but they were also rejected.
I had not even realised he had "retired, hurt", mid-match.
Good news for those that went with Boylesports though, as they may not have been aware.
It looks like your Boylesports account is no more
As I said, I have been getting that message about risk controls on horse racing bets for a long time with Boyles, and in that time I have probably tried to get on enough bets to conclude I am never ever getting a horse racing bet on with them again.
Given you have the same message about risk controls on reality TV and tennis, then that might well be it for the account. I assume you got the same message for tennis.
I am not entirely sure on this because Boyles definitely do lay me some bets, just not horse racing ones.
Maybe.
I was just about to have a little chunter that they had not e-Mailed me to inform me, & I just found this in my inbox.....
Hi Tony,
We regret to inform you that we have made changes to the way we administer your sports betting account.
Your account has been restricted. This means you can no longer avail of our fon-a-bet service and sports promotions.
You can still transact via our website and mobile website.
Should you have any queries regarding this change, please contact our customer support team.
If that means what it says - if - my Boyles Account SHOULD still work as normal, EXCEPT for Promos.
Think I might test it shortly. Maybe try & bet £10 on Arsenal tonight, or something similar.
fon-a-bet? I don't know what that is, but I couldn't use it out of principle.
Edit, they also have Txt-a-bet. Why?

Would this be the first Fred account closure?
I don't think they have closed it, just Restricted me.
Only Stan James have totally closed me down, but that was nothing to do with Fred, it was my own stuff.
PP & Bet365 severely Restrict me. In fact, many Forms now Restrict me from time to time, bet dependent.
My only "clean" Accounts now are.....
BetFred
BetVictor

No idea, never used it or even heard of it. Agree, though, I refuse to use a service so badly named.
Lol @ "txt-a-bet".

I have 10 bets "Pending" in my Boyles Account, including....
Suarez PL Goals
Spieth to win Masters
Peterborough to win the TinPot thing.
Sam Vokes Goalscorer.
Djokovic Aussie Open Tennis.
Can I reasonably assume they will honour these?

Anyone got any thoughts on the Oscars betting after the Golden Globes last night? Neil C, I think, last year was on the case?
First bet proposed on this thread was for the Academy Awards.
I see U2 won a Golden Globe last night for their Mandela song.

Think they must be ok, looks like you get to punish them even after you have gone. Good work.

The last bet settled on my Boylesports account was on December 22nd, which was £24 @ 5/6 on a RU Unders single.
My last 8 bets there produced 4 wins, & 4 losses. Average bet size was about £40, & I made a net gain of around £30 in total on those 8 bets.
Monsta punter, me, right up there with this lad. Bigger, maybe.

Wow, that is some tax settlement. I feel I must have wasted my maths degree.
