At the risk of the obvious

Why are Crystal Palace 5/2 at Wigan today?

I don't think a Pulis side is 5/2 here are they?

I think you're probably right.

I have similar feelings about Cardiff and Fulham.

Took 2/1 on Cardiff on b365 earlier today and 7/4 on Fulham.

I think Cardiff will want to play a decent team to get their signings to gel. Bolton are hardly setting the Championship alight.

And almost 2/1 on a Premiership team at League One Sheff Utd who are inconsistent?

Yep, all seem fine to me.  They are priced up as if the sides were close to even.  Are these sides really a lot worse than Swansea for instance.  I know we should wait for team news, but all just look too big as it stands.

The way the month is going they'll all lose 7-1, except Palace obv.

I would post this on Chess Thread, but it's something I think people will appreciate (wider audience and all that)

Magnus Carlsen is currently doing a bit of a tour at the moment and has played in recent weeks at various places, including at Google HQ. He, as you have seen, featured in a Scandinavian TV show with Bill Gates, who is himself a competent player (I think fair to say he got a bit overwhelmed by the occasion). Carlsen starts with 30 seconds on his clock to make all his moves against Gates's two minutes.

You don't need to know anything about chess to understand what's going on.

Little bit of good news.

Last winner at Chelts was beaten easily by our RSA hope Many Clouds last time out.

Filip Kiss is a Cardiff City kid playing at Ross County on loan. He's scored 4 in two games and is at home to Fred favourite Hearts.

You can get 14/1 for him to score two or more today at PP. Most other firms are between 7 and 9's.

£25 to reduce the Red?

We have a man up next in the Pyjama Snooker: Xiao Guodong.

Our man survives.

Our final dart takes to the stage in about an hour.

I thought maybe Karibiner was lurking and she was desperate trying to hide, so he wouldn't put her up as his weekly golf tip.......

Is Annie Power a sure runner in the Champion Hurdle?

Nice performance again..

£25 free bet at 12-1 is in the books for March...

Two concerns with Annie Power re: the Champion Hurdle. Willie Mullins already has Hurricane Fly for that race and whether she'd have the pace for 2m on decent ground at that level. I'd be surprised if she didn't run in the Stayers', especially if Big Buck's blows out today.

Looks most likely to be in the Champion on the Betfair markets in both races pre race.  There was money lined up for the Champion but nothing below about 25/1 for the Stayers.  Just got to hope they do the right thing.

Beat nothing, but is a machine.

We could also hope for something impressive in the Big Bucks race.

Robert Milkins plays Shaun Murphy next up. Clean first round sweep for Fred if he can find a win

Odemwinge to Stoke. I assume he's actually been contacted by the club this time.
