Rory too short at 1.8. I will lay some at that to equalise my position a little more.

We have had a stroke of luck in one market, with the news that QPR's Charlie Austin is out injured for a prolonged period
Currently
18 McCormack (Leeds)
16 Ings (Burnley)
16 Rhodes (Blackburn)
15 Nugent (Leicester)
14 Austin (QPR)
Our bets on Ings and Nugent at 25/1 and 20/1 are e/w top 4, Ings the bigger bet
I was hoping that Ross McCormack might leave the division this transfer window, but no luck. He scored a penalty last game to move ahead and is obviously the biggest risk to a scoop
Ings, the main risk is Burnley cooling off of which there has been the odd sign
Nugent has 15, including 9 penalties. He's missed 3 pens too. Playing alongside Jamie Vardy who now has 10 and Nugent assists a lot of these. A bit more selfish would be good for us!

To bring your two positions (they both win) closer together, yes?
Makes abso sense.
What a nice spot you are in!

Celtic were lining up a bid for Assombalongalonga if the Leigh Griffiths move fell thru, but they've now signed LG. So hopefully that's an end to it.
BMU and Padraig have prices on the annoying Jim White's first cliche at 8pm tonight. A lot of the lines quoted aren't lines he could start a sentence with; favourite 'The clock is ticking' is an obv exception.
So is 'Hold on to your hats', which is 25/1 with BMU. Chuck a tenner at it please. This IS a rec bet, no rebuffs.

I'll distract tikay for us
England. Top score of 22. No sixes. Sixteen single-figure overs. 130 scored
He might as well back Jim White. Perhaps he knows him to engineer an inside coup in the make up room?

Why are Newcastle odds on in the North East Derby tomorrow?
Cabaye gone, Remy suspended, not scored in 3 of their last 4
Sunderland picking up form and results markedly - sixth in the Premier League form table having won three and drawn two of their last six games. Uunbeaten in five away league games
2/1 Sunderland DNB, 9/4 Skibet

I think Mondatoo was talking this yesterday?

FML. 12/1 now, lol.
Too late, one assumes?
NOT a rebuff, so don't start.

BMU have prices on 'Will Sam Allardyce make a deadline day signing?' - 1/4 yes, 11/4 no.
West Ham are 8/1 third favourites to make most deadline day signings, and 1/10 would be nearer the mark. Looks ideal for the short-price brigade.

Unbelievable, a nice profit for Fred if only we'd realised earlier, or I was not working last night.
Bye bye January, don't come back any time soon.

Ha! The power of TfT! I didn't put owt on, but anything put up on here gets insta-bet by someone/several someones, most likely by one of the anonymous loitering guests?
I'll add it to the rebuff list, which I read every night before crying myself to sleep.
BTW, excellent Super Bowel preview last night by Neil Channing and...Neil Channing.

When I looked at this derby a bit ago, I think you definite should back the draw or the away team. I am on the draw at 13/5, but wouldn't put anyone off Sunderland, laying Newcastle or DNB.

Tighty. I put a bit on Button yesterday for the F1 championship. The engine looks a lot better than the Renault in testing, his team mate was quickest in testing yesterday(2nd today), he has past title winning form and is very good at picking up points (last season was an exception). By contrast Vettel/Red Bull/Renault not running at all well and still awfully short.
Against the bet are that Red Bull always seem to get better throughout season, it is very early days and McLaren haven't won the constructors in an age, and ofc F1 is a bloodbath for thread.
Not sure the 12/1 will last, we need to be very quick (bet dead slowest to adjust). Good enough for thread? £20?

I was on the site within 6 minutes of your Post, & it was 12/1 already. Amazing.
The Super Bowl Preview? Yes, I thought I was very good. Mainly because I just stuck to the poker, & left Lord Grumpy & Boycie to do the NFL.......
Anonymous loitering guests. Now that is an interesting thing, & yes, you are absolutely right.
I honestly don't mind these "Guests" & "Lurkers", "non-blondes", even my little band of haters lurk on Fred. It's fine, good luck to them. But it does damage the regulars here, it does, & it's becoming a bit of a problem really.
Some ideas have been proposed to Tighty & myself to combat it, & we are considering them. The very accessibility of Fred to anyone may need to change, & it is under consideration. As things stand, we can all make a nice little 4% or 5% per year, if we are sensible, but we may need some structural changes if it is to continue.
All ideas & proposals are welcome, of course.
