Tighty.  I put a bit on Button yesterday for the F1 championship.  The engine looks a lot better than the Renault in testing, his team mate was quickest in testing yesterday(2nd today), he has past title winning form and is very good at picking up points (last season was an exception).  By contrast Vettel/Red Bull/Renault not running at all well and still awfully short.

Against the bet are that Red Bull always seem to get better throughout season, it is very early days and McLaren haven't won the constructors in an age, and ofc F1 is a bloodbath for thread.

Not sure the 12/1 will last, we need to be very quick (bet dead slowest to adjust).  Good enough for thread? £20?

Thanks Doobs. Given our F1 record, I'd need some help on that.

Any F1 lads around?

Rory 1.49 now. I'm amazed. Any experts got a view please ?

Yikes, that is incred!

He is -2 after 9 holes today, so -11 in total, but there is a goodly way to go yet.

Morning Mr T.

This evening GB play the USA at tennis. The court is in a baseball ground and is still being built.

Inglot took a tumble on the first day of practice, although it is hoped that as more clay and water are added to the surface, it will become easier to play on.
"It's not really clay to be honest," Murray, the world number six, told BBC Sport. "It's not like traditional European clay courts.
"It's a very, very slippy court. It's quick. It's a lot quicker than the surfaces we play on in Monte Carlo, Rome and Madrid, so it's been different.
"I'm hitting the ball fine, it's just getting used to the movement. All the players have been struggling with it because, like I say, it's very slippy."

Murray plays Young and their record is 2-1 to Murray, but they have not met on clay. Taking into account the weird surface and Murray's recovering from injury the price for Young is too big. One thing you can be certain of however, is Murray would far rather not be out  there playing.

Suggest £15 Young @ 10-1 with boyles. I would not put anyone off the generally available 7-1 either.

We have to be quick.  Just do it if Tighty isn't here. He is likely 10/1 end of the day.  Think we can always lay off onBetfair of he absolutely hates it.

I don't think Magnusson 20/1 e/w can be terrible either.

I don't mind. I don't think many of the teams have a clue on pace yet, reliability is so awful generally with the new technology on energy recovery in the cars. McLaren and Mercedes seem to have more of a handle on it than most, whether this is significant when the action starts, don't know

I can't argue for or against the propsed bet, really!

Morning hector, & thanks.

We are effectively closed by Boyles, but I took £10 @ 7/1 with BMU. I reduced the bet as we got smaller odds. An Elder taught me that, or it may have been Chompy, I can't recall.

We have £20 @ 12/1, Button.

I'm not brim-full of confidence, but in a wider context, we might get 10 months of fun for a score, & we get an interest in all the F1 races.

Celtic were lining up a bid for Assombalongalonga if the Leigh Griffiths move fell thru, but they've now signed LG. So hopefully that's an end to it.

BMU and Padraig have prices on the annoying Jim White's first cliche at 8pm tonight. A lot of the lines quoted aren't lines he could start a sentence with; favourite 'The clock is ticking' is an obv exception.

So is 'Hold on to your hats', which is 25/1 with BMU. Chuck a tenner at it please. This IS a rec bet, no rebuffs.

I'll distract tikay for us

England. Top score of 22. No sixes. Sixteen single-figure overs. 130 scored

He might as well back Jim White. Perhaps he knows him to engineer an inside coup in the make up room?

Unbelievable, a nice profit for Fred if only we'd realised earlier, or I was not working last night.

Bye bye January, don't come back any time soon.

The "Sixes Unders" bet is virtually weighed in with a ton to spare, 3 x sixes so far, & the Aussies only need another 20 runs.

Fred's Series Bet on England looks weighed in, too......

I don't really like to say this but it is 11.0 on Betfair. I know you sometimes forget to check Betfait Tikay. But I think you usually
use oddschecker and Betfair are on there. How can we help you to remember to check Betfair ? Smiley
