Place the mug accumulators on a loyalty card, place good bets not on loyalty card.

Apparently Floyd Mayweather has $10.5M on the Broncos.
Yikes, he in a BIG hole right now.
If true, how would he get a bet of that size on? Several "smaller" bets? Several different books? Would he have that on credit, or cash up front?
The mind boggles. Try getting that on with Ladbrokes, lol.
He gets whatever bet size he wants at the M.
Almost solely on the basis of him there are an army of pros, arbers and middlers that sit there all day and take the other side and then bet the other side.
Outside of Pinnacle the M is probably the place to go for the biggest bets. I hear they give Billy Walters a very decent bet too.
Stu,
If you get a moment, could you expand on that, please?
Who are these guys, who (if anyone) do they work for, what EXACTLY do they do? Are they front-running based on Big Bet inside info, & if so, on their own behalf, or for others?

Hi Tony. I think as much as u admonish us guys from apologising for losing bets, u should do the same if you're not around to give Fred lots of care and attention. We know running Fred isn't a paid position and if you're busy with other things then there's no need to apologise for that, this is a fun Fred for punters and nuthin more really, u, and other guys like tighty, mere and latterly rubbish do great jobs keeping Fred going, but really I think he's big enough to look after himself.
The whole Super Bowl punting side was strange, the betting emporium thing is what it is. Neil is one of my best friends in poker and has helped me out whenever I've needed him to, sometimes when a shrewd man like himself would know it's a -ev move. I don't know Joe as well but have always got along very well with him and have nothing but praise for him and how he carries himself, a lovely fella. I don't blame them for wanting to make some money out of their tipping service, why not, if it's good enough people will pay.
For Fred tho I think u have to see BE as just another tipping service, despite us knowing the guys who run it. I would be less inclined to encourage someone to nick the tips n post them here than I would if I wasn't friends with the guys behind it, but other than that I think it just has to stay that way, unless Neil and Joe want to give Fred snippets.
(FWIW, if I was them I woulda been teasing Fred with taster bets and telling regs here where to get more and how much it would cost and how many times I coulda paid that subscription if I'd followed the past x weeks. Maybe that's bending your rules, but if they're giving a little, I think that should be encouraged. Certainly I haven't subscribed as I'm not that bothered about American football really, but if I was given a tempter and told how much they were winning, well I might be persuaded.)
What them monetising their tips must do tho is make Fred regs think 'well if they're charging for their tips, why would I spend 15 mins writing something up for Fred for free. I'm as good/better than them'. Certainly the elders such as camel, redarmi, chompy, dubai, phil, seem to post less, and they were curious by their absence in the build up to the super bowl. I can't say I blame them. Also, if they find themselves agreeing with a BE tip that is sub only, what are they to do? Not give their opinion as it's the same as Neil's (and therefore doubly likely to be correct?). Surely Blonde rules allow Tighty to post links to betpal saying I've written up this game and really like the third bet or whatever too.
If all elders (and anyone else) take the attitude 'if they're charging I'm not working for free' then it will unfortunately be the end of Fred. As I say, I wouldn't blame people if they took that attitude, but it makes me sad.
Special thanks to redarmi who responded to my appeal for some super bowl help with some lovely bets, he said Desmond Dekker was the best one, and not only did he have like 6 yards all game, the comms team even said in the second half he's being overlooked as he's got the best defender on him, exactly the reason for the bet. I bet more on him than the other two combined, which is how the post made it sound, so I shoulda finished just in profit. Instead tho I visited the misclick files and bet over Des Walker yards when I shoulda been under, so got the pleasure of a winning bet having anti-railed him all game oioi

Nice post, JaffaCake.
Two guys on countdown today. The numbers game:
100/25/10/8/7/4 with the target 360.
Neither of them got it. That includes the trainee accountant with three wins so far.
I doubt Paddy would be restricting either of their bets for a while.

If u can get 11-2 with BV or 5-1 with bfred for Sir Steve Redgrave for the jump bet it, he was only 6-1 because he was injured, obvious after tonight he is ok. The price should go quick.
Think this was an old price oddschecker, and wasn't available, so hopefully nobody backed it.
Sir Steve is out
http://tv.uk.msn.com/news/injured-redgrave-out-of-the-jump
Given the attrition rate, maybe they'll struggle for a second series.
Marcus and Donal still in it for me, but haven't got a penny on the ringer.

Yes, that was a bit
I used to watch countdown every day, before studies, work and life got in the way. The Countdown/15to1 double bill was one of life's great joys. I barely get to see it nowadays, though, and I'm always amazed at how far the game has moved on, with the contestants finding eight letter words out of six Q
s, two Os and a Z. I feel like a complete outsider when I pop back to see it and you quickly feel like a total moron watching these people half your age destroy the numbers and letters game and buzz the conundrum before you've noticed the final four letters spell BART.
So, it's kind of warming when you see the contestants jointly have a brain-burp. They still score well overall, but getting a little fist pump moment now and then is to be cherished.
University Challenge tonight, where the questions start "Which Seventeenth Century Hungarian historian..." and I go back to feeling daft.

Thanks Jeff, a very perceptive Post, at least, it is coming from you.........
Thanks for responding. It was important that I addressed it properly, but yesterday was not time & place.
Much sense there.
There are quite a few undercurrents now, for this reason or that. You have to leave them to me, so sort as best I can. Some much missed regs are holding back right now, & have explained the reasons to me. It's awkward, as often I'm stuck between friends, but I'll work at it & try to resolve.
I did seriously consider "teasing" some BE stuff last night, actually, but you know how it is, it might have kicked off again, & I don't like needless aggro these days, especially during something like Super Bowl, & not everyone is able to make their point as intended.
Tight's BetPal stuff. I don't know the deal - it is none of my business - but part of the remit MUST be to drive punters to BetPal. Tighty is also suffers from humility, so he is uncomfortable sticking some of his stuff up.
I see no reason - unless he tells me otherwise - why the BetPal stuff can't be done by Fred. It just needs someone - paging sonour, paging sonour - to mention it, I & can get it done, right away. For correctness - which I value highly - we should & will acknowledge BetPal as the source. SEO is a HUGE asset to any commercial operation, & I'm sure they'll appreciate us regurgitating their name, more especially as blonde has decent SEO. So that's one settled.
BE is more difficult. If folks pay BE for tips, it'd be bang wrong to Post them here. End of. Due to time issues, I only backed ONE of BE's Super Bowl tips last night - (over 1.5 Interceptions) & because I run crazy good, it came in of course. I almost teased it, precisely & for the reasons you suggested, but in the end I gg'd it, peeps are very sensitive about aftertiming, too much so sometimes.
I should add, for full disclosure, that Tighty & I, on behalf of blonde, enjoy free access to BE, it is a scratch each others back sort of thing. They help us, we help them. There have been no breaches of etiquette there though, & there never will be.
It's an interesting problem.
Amen, as you noted, to redarmi, himself in a difficult spot, for coming to the rescue, & plenty of Freds loaded up. Worth saying he is an invaluable ally of Fred.
It worked out OK in the end, we had a good night, & nobody died, (no Manning jibes please...) though I've got a few regulars in A & E. Trust me, I'm a Doctor.
Apologies from me? I just like to do things properly, & we did not do Super Bowl as well as I'd have liked.
See you Thursday. You MUST use 2 cards, right?

It was probably a bit of an exaggeration to say it was solely on the basis of Mayweather but they are known as the place that takes the biggest bets by some margin in Vegas now so that tends to be where the sharp money goes first. It is a bit like how UK punters use Betfair as a guide or US punters used to use Pinnacle. If there is a big move they will bet that side elsewhere and take the other side with the M for an arb or a middle so basically a large proportion of the sharp sports bettors in Vegas spend most of their time there or have someone there to monitor the lines.

A curiosity for you Mr Tal.
There is another huge University Challenge fan on Fred, bet you can't guess who.
Clue - He is at EXACTLY the opposite end of the Posh-scale to you, he is lower working class, uneducated, & common as muck. Quite surprising, really. He once got TWO questions correct on the same Show.

Bit of a delayed up date, Hayley Tamaddon is still alive in Dancing on Ice, she had a duel against Beth Tweedle (Olympic Gymnast and current Champion) and all four judges saved her so she did not have to dance off.
Ray is still going strong and this will literally come down to if Hayley is more popular, be interesting to see the polls after the show has finished.

Funny you should say that. At the TfT Bash, one Fredite - I won't name who it was, as I don't want to embarrass BigAdz - expressed genuine disappointment that I didn't talk with RP and wasn't wearing a monacle.
Some right gullible sorts out there. BadBeat barely said a word, karabiner spent the evening saying how much he wishes Wenger had left with Henry and Dubai had 50p reverse forecasts all night.
