Will get up to date shortly lads......

Soon, UKPC will be in the rear-view mirror, & I can get back to basics. I've arranged to take a break Cheltenham Week though. Wink

Looks like I need to wade through the various 6 Nations suggestions, the Adzy horse (if BMU co-operate), & the Claypole Banzai.

Need to have a word with hector's brother, too.

Morning Mr T.

80mph winds, 12m high waves, 2 rivers running through it and still they can't flood Plymouth. Thank heaven for rias, and a lovely breakwater built by some CESM prisoners of war.

As already stated Foggy is into the semi final and plays Almagro. He has a 2-4 losing record against him but he beat him when they last met on clay and that was before his massive improvement during last season. He is a very slight favourite to win when they meet at 10.30ish tonight. He is now a best price 6/4 for the whole caboodle.

Time for another coffee and quiet word with Phoebe's father.

The Fognini Affair......

We are on @ 7/2, & after reportedly losing in the 1st Round, our man is now 6/4 best Outright.

Tonight, @ 10pm UK time, he plays Almagro in the Semi-Final, & the Bookies make it a pick'em, 9/10 both.

Were Fognini to win tonight, I assume he'd be long odds on to win Outright. The other two semi-finalists are 6/1 & 8/1 for the outright.

Think I'm going to have a few bob off thread on him Outright @ 6/4.

Good luck Hector, too, I expect he has a brother monitoring the weather in Chile for us.

Spookily, our Posts crossed.

Yes, speak to Phoebe's Dad.

I was not aware that seawall was built by POW's. Fine bit of work, I've walked along it many a time.

Bode Miller nailed the final downhill training run. Fastest through all the sectors & 0.66 ahead of Svindal in 2nd. That's massive!

Think we need to grind out some William Hill mobile offers.

£25 on each of the following works well.

Newbury 14.25 Al Ferof 6/4
Newbury 15.00 Dodging Bullets 11/8
Warwick 14.05 Glens Melody 5/4
Warwick 14.40, perhaps a tribute to Claypole's treble, Balder Succes (11/8).

We might get stung on these, as 3 of the races are 5 runners, and the ther is 6.  The offer disappears with only 4 going to post.  I can't promise I am going to be around letting people know there are 5 runners tomorrow, so think we should just take a chance.

It would be wise to check that there are at least 5 runners when you put the bets on.

In other racing news, it looks like Al Ferof is going for the Gold Cup.  I think we have an ante post ticket for the Ryanair.  Every chance we have picked the wrong race with both that and Annie Power from where I am sitting.   I personally need to hold with Dodging Bullets in the Arkle, so that one better win easily tomorrow.  Given teh Ryanair bet, it won't be such a bad result for Al Ferof to cruise for 2.5 miles and then empty and finish 2nd.

Thanks Doobs.

First up, as forewarned, the 14.05 Warwick has a Non-Runner, so is now a 4 Runner Race. NO BET.

We are on the other three, though they have all drifted overnight, Dodging Bullets alarmingly so. But given the Offer, & race make up, I think we'll be OK.

Three x £25 Bets, Wm Hill, FREE BET IF 2nd.

2.25 Newbury, Al Ferof, @ 13/8

3.00 Newbury, Dodging Bullets, £25 @ 7/4

2.40 Warwick, Balder Success @ 6/4

08 Feb 14 / 09:54

Stake

2:25 Newbury – Al Ferof @ Guaranteed Price (13/8)

- £25.00

O/0457483/0000818/F

08 Feb 14 / 09:54

Stake

3:00 Newbury – Dodging Bullets @ Guaranteed Price (7/4)

- £25.00

O/0457483/0000819/F

08 Feb 14 / 09:54

Stake

2:40 Warwick – Balder Succes @ Guaranteed Price (6/4)

- £26.00

O/0457483/0000820/F

Thanks Tonji.

Excuse my ignorance, but is this the Super G?

If so, we are on @ 22/1, thanks to you, & Bode the Brave is now around 7/2.....

I'm not sure where Fred is with value baldfred anytime you like bets - however our hairless Manc friend had lost his mind tomorrow and I recommend...

£10 treble Negredo, Ings, Suarez at 10/1

And a £5 "sweets" bet with Eto at 25/1

Obviously the later is a risk as Liverpool kicks off at 12.45 and I have a feeling he may start Ba tommmorow. First three start and we get 4 points over market price

Thanks Shaun.

As you know, I really need my arm twisted to back trebles, & as I understand it, we are barely getting "right price".

I hope you get ther lot mate, but it's not my cup of tea at those prices.

Training is on the downhill course.

Super G is another speed discipline, so his downhill form is related & should translate into Super G. Does that make sense?

Downhill is Sunday. Super G is the following Sunday.

Mr T are you confusing the sea wall with the Breakwater. The breakwater is 1 mile out at sea so not readily walkable? But I have been on it once.

Anyone just see Plinth win in Ireland. Prices for Triumph would be interesting.

Amazing speed

As one ante post bet goes into the free bet bin, let's get back on that horsey.

I noted Plinth after his first race where despite being very novicey quickened up in quite taking style, as my immediate post after the race suggested.

The horse he beat, Ivan G subsequently dotted up and is now favourite for the Truimph Hurdle. The form looks good.

The two meet again on Sunday at Leopardstown, and the winner will surely be strong favourite for the Triumph.

In our corner. Aiden o'Brien trains Plinth, yes.....AIDEN O BRIEN..........AP McCoy rides, and JP Mac owns .

I think it's fairly clear if he wins he will probably get backed off the boards over the coming weeks with that combo.

He is available at 14s. For Fred I prefer the safe NRFB with  VC, but either way, get the full bet on.

£25 ew Plinth, Triumph Hurdle.GL

Thanks Adzy.

As later discussed, 12/1 now with BMU, and definitely NOT NRFB.

For future reference, & as far as I can see, the Cheltenham NRFB thing BMU are doing is now ONLY for the Gold Cup.

Do we now swerve Plinth completely? We can get 14/1 all over the place, but not with NRNB or NRFB.
