Mr T are you confusing the sea wall with the Breakwater. The breakwater is 1 mile out at sea so not readily walkable? But I have been on it once.

Bugger, yes, I've walked the Sea Wall but not the breakwater.

I adore Marine Engineering, & used to do a lot of sub-contract RC CE work for an outfit named Harbour & General. Think they are called Volker Stevin now, or somesuch. They do sea walls  & breakwaters right around the UK, & they did the Thames Barrier I believe.

Anyone just see Plinth win in Ireland. Prices for Triumph would be interesting.

Amazing speed

As one ante post bet goes into the free bet bin, let's get back on that horsey.

I noted Plinth after his first race where despite being very novicey quickened up in quite taking style, as my immediate post after the race suggested.

The horse he beat, Ivan G subsequently dotted up and is now favourite for the Truimph Hurdle. The form looks good.

The two meet again on Sunday at Leopardstown, and the winner will surely be strong favourite for the Triumph.

In our corner. Aiden o'Brien trains Plinth, yes.....AIDEN O BRIEN..........AP McCoy rides, and JP Mac owns .

I think it's fairly clear if he wins he will probably get backed off the boards over the coming weeks with that combo.

He is available at 14s. For Fred I prefer the safe NRFB with  VC, but either way, get the full bet on.

£25 ew Plinth, Triumph Hurdle.GL

Thanks Adzy.

As later discussed, 12/1 now with BMU, and definitely NOT NRFB.

For future reference, & as far as I can see, the Cheltenham NRFB thing BMU are doing is now ONLY for the Gold Cup.

Do we now swerve Plinth completely? We can get 14/1 all over the place, but not with NRNB or NRFB.

BMU are listed as NRFB on all races, and NRNB for the 4 Championship ones on Oddschecker.

Thanks Marky.

This is very confusing.

As far as I can now see, yes, you are right, BMU are....

NRNB on the FOUR championship Races at the Festival.

They also advertise "NRFB" for Cheltenham generally.

So, back to Plinth.......what should we do?

Dr Doobs has managed to through my world into total confusion, even though I cant get on with BMU.

However, the logic(or lack of it) remains behind the selection.

Stick one on it,

Rubi Ball out for season

Will be a money back jobbie with 365

The £20 e/w with BetVictor is a loss?

I have voided the B365 on the spreadsheet

£20ew with Victor will be a free bet

I'm sure it will be, but it has not been credited as a Free Bet yet.

The dithering has ended, we are on. Lets hope he shapes up well this weekend.

We have £25 EW @ 12/1, (qtr, 1,2,3) BMU, Plinth, Triumph Hurdle. I'm too confused to know if it is NRNB or NRFB, but it definitely something.

Dublin tonight

http://balls.ie/rugby/gif-ethan-davies-banana-kick-ireland-vs-wales-6-nations-u20-game/

Forecast to be worse tomorrow. The Aviva stadium is an interesting one in bad weather as one end is very small and renders the ground open to the elements (they can't build substantially on the end because a train line runs directly underneath the end)

Wales/Ireland features two of the finest kickers in world rugby Sexton and Halfpenny, but it will be a struggle

In rough conditions this weekend last year Ire/Eng scored 18 points in a 6-12 game. Wales have more strike power than that England team, so 18 points would be a huge stretch but.....

points line tomorrow set at 36.5. Hills Under 36 at Evens, too

http://www.oddschecker.com/rugby-union/six-nations/ireland-v-wales/total-points

I am not around til late morning as I am working again, but if it turns out rough across the Irish sea could someone bump this and collectively consider the unders please?

I've researched the Dublin weather this morning.

http://uk.weather.com/weather/today-Dublin-EIXX0014:1:EI

Note particularly......

Winds SSW at 25 to 35 mph. Winds could occasionally gust over 50 mph.

On that basis, think we'd best get on.

The Evens with Wm Hill has gone, Bet£3.65 go 10/11 but will only allow me £3.30, so we've gone with Corals, £60 @ 5/6, UNDER 36.5.

Under 36.55/6Ireland v Wales - 08/02/2014

Stake £60.00

Estimated Return:£110.00

6 Nations RU

Here is Tighty's BetPal piece......

http://www.betpal.com/six-nations-rugby-betting-preview-weekend-of-8th-9th-feb

In brief.....

Wales to beat Ireland at 5/4

England to win by 1-12 points v Scotland at 13/8

Italy +20 at 10/11 v France

Any Rugby types here who agree, or disagree?

Tighty won't recommend them, but I'm inclined to think he'd do well to get all 3 wrong, so maybe we should have 3 singles, maybe £25 or so on each?

Will await views before plunging.

Think we are up to date now, except for a decision on Tighty's BetPal tips, which I can do when I get back home from the Office if need be.

Re the 6 nations. I like the England by 1-12 points and I quite like the Italy with 20 points. On Wales though, maybe because I am on Ireland for the tournament, I think it looks priced up correctly. We went with France for the competition partly on the assumption of player fatigue after the Lions tour. Well Wales had a squillion players on that tour, I thought they were average last week, and Ireland have some Irish weather today.

Thanks hector.

I'm about to leave the office, so I'll check in when I'm back home, & decide what to do, maybe some more feedback will arrive to confuse me further.

I'm pretty sure if we back 2 of Tighty's 3, we'll back the wrong two......
