Surely Pearce, if he wants and he is said to, is an absolute steal at 7/2. I normally wouldn't bet anyone at under double figures in a manager market but that is sorely tempting.
Would pain me taking 7/2 about something that was 33/1 yesterday, and 12/1 this morning. Especially when there is possibly a fair few runners, and the owners might pull some random out of left field.

Smith has done a lot of damage but another odd West Indies batting display?

Luckily for Windies the wicketkeeper and fielders are gifting them enough runs to defend.

They have been really poor in both games. Even if they go on and post 200 here it will be due to the village fielding from Bangladesh. Unless something drastic changes in the next few games they have precisely 0 chance of winning this tournament. Bangladesha nd India bowled well against them - nothing more. Imagine playing like this facing the Sri Lanka or Pakistan bowling attack - they wouldn't get to 100 I guess the thing with the West Indies is they have the sort of batting line-up that may suddenly click

Afternoon.
A bit waylaid with stuff right now, but I'll get back up to speed by tomorrow morning.
Just had a speed-read of the thread, & seem to recall the following.....
Adzy GN suggestion.
Adzy Masters suggestion.
redarmi/Arbboy NCAA suggestion.
Dubai (65k on dinner) bet the bank on Arsenal to beat Swansea.
Tighty's plethora of Malayasian F1 GP stuff, plus a driver bet by Doobsy.
Plus some I've no doubt forgotten.
Will get up to speed later today, or on the morrow.

with Sri Lanka thrashing the Netherlands, in one of the most disastrous Dutch collapses since the tulip market went stamen over carpel in the 1630s, to go to the top of the group. Of main interest to viewers with a short attention span was the Sri Lankan national anthem, which ashould have had a Strategic Time Out in the middle.
Awesome.

Kind of agree but isn't it a bit like backing a Barney Curley horse after it has shortened a bit. Would much rather be on a trier at a short price than one with no chance at a price......I think that is why caretakers at a big price are almost always worth a punt because 99% of the time they want it.

Bangles fielding has been beyond poor. Not sure I've ever seen anything like it. Obviously I'm talking my pocket here, but Windies could have been restricted to 130/140 here.

Can anyone tell me what price Auden was in the 220 at Southwell this morning? Was it well backed?

...it's the gift that keeps on giving. 4 dropped catches and by my reckoning 20-25 runs that have come from these drops and basic mis-fields. They'd be chasing around 150 otherwise and would be around 6/4 instead of 6/1

re the NCAA i would disagree that the draw has opened up for them, Kentucky while an 8 seed was everyones preseason #1 and while they have been very up and down they looked really good in beating Wichita. Louisville and Kentucky hate each other and i would expect a very emotional hard fought match with the victor then coming out flat and losing to a really good Michigan team in the last 8. in fact if i was going to have a bet Michigan @ 12's would be my choice

manchester derby a good bet for the bet£1.55 e/w fgs tonight?
My understanding of this e/w bet works well when, Bet £1.55 are best priced and it is a game where it is predicted to be a lot of goals.
Over 2.5 goals is 4/6
Dzeko and toure are best priced at 13/2 and 8/1, with Bet £1.55
Rooney and Negrado are 5/1 with 7/1 available at lads so i would say that is a no bet but might be wrong?
Any thoughts on this.

Was 4-1 I think. Hugh Taylor pick so auto halve in price. Looked a tad unlucky but also looked a bit paceless when the gap appeared. Poss notebooker.

No Manchester derby isn't a good spot for the EW FGS. You need a big favourite and very high goals expectancy ie very high goal expectancy for one team. 4/6 over 2.5 isn't close to high enough and MC aren't short enough. Really you want a game with a total in Asia of 4 or higher.
