I like Two Rockers in the last at Aintree, which is 14/1 hills and on the drift (wisdom of the crowd never worried me before). Bet fair 17.5. If hills pushes to 16/1, is this suitable?

we are on spiritofshankly already. not sure if that matters, in your mind (in fact not sure what matters in your mind generally, but thats another issue!)

Fair enough

I'm surprised Sri Lanka were 1.88 on Matchbook at the start and just 1.69 now.

I reckon they are 10 short of an average score on that pitch.  I know Sri Lanka's strength is their bowlers but I make this much closer to 50/50 at this stage

gayle batting or not?

price came in on that.

the pitch is good, but sri lanka defending 160 have to be better than 50-50 i think

Yeah, I made them small favourites but not <1.7.  It was more a point of how they'd come in a decent amount from the pre-match price.  I would have had them around 1.8 at both stages

Great start, hopefully they see it through

i am also a bit of advice please

what price would you experienced bookie types/betfair participants etc make Leicester City to finish 10th or above in next year's Premier League?

thanks in advance

around the 8/1 10/1 mark i would imagine.

I'd have gone for 5/1.  Difference of opinion amongst the bookies

how much cash will they spend tighty?  The thing about top 10 betting is that 7 of the top ten are effectively locked up already by the big 7.  You could easily add Newcastle to this list as well to make 8.  Southampton are more debatable as to whether they will hold onto their players during the summer as the big clubs start circling.    Therefore you are betting to 2 maybe 3 places would happily lay leics at 5/1 to go past very established EPL outfits like Stoke Villa West Ham etc etc

The owners bought the stadium, and converted the £100m debt (much of which Sven wasted on fees, contracts etc from players who have now gone) into shares

they will be within FFP this year and go up debt free

the owners are popular, very wealthy (one of the richest thai families, own duty free businesses across asia), and there is no risk of a Tan type situation

would think four or five major signings, through the spine of the side

would bite your hand off for 10-1. A friend (gloomier than I on prospects next year) offered me 4-1 and  am hoping for better when prices come out

finances aside what appeals is that we have a lot of pace and flair going forward, and i think we'll be very competitive...not the sort of promoted side who will go up, stick 11 behind the ball away and try to finish 17th

- and this is from someone who typically recommends opposing Leicester on here.

Afternoon Mr T.

Tonight's rugby union game between Sale and Northampton seems to be priced up on reputation and past results rather than form. Both teams are resting some players because it is the European Challenge cup, but in the past few weeks Sale have beaten Northampton and Bath. Meanwhile Northampton got stuffed at home by Leicester and lost in the final of the LV cup to Exeter.

Suggest £20 Sale @ 6/4 with betfair.

I wouldn't put anyone going for low points in the Hull / Salford rugby league game tonight.

Last picture looks like ex Scotland winger Thom Evans. Once played in a seven's team with him. He was rapid. Broke his neck in a 6 nations game against Wales which sadly ended his career.

More info required. Great spot as well.

SL gone off for rain well ahead.  However, there must be a worry that DL gives Windies something they can have a slog at if they come back on.

DL always seems inappropriate for me in these T20s.  It always seems to favour the chasing side.

Hopefully they won't come back on and SL go through.  They are 27 ahead at the moment on DL.

Christian Benteke has torn his achilles tendon. No World Cup for him.

Having just seen the picture of the outfield, they arent going back on.

Nasty when that happens to players at the best of times, but just before a World Cup is tough.

Sri Lanka beat West Indies on D/L To reach the T20 World Cup final after a huge storm curtailed play

Badree finished top West Indian wicket taker - £20 on at 9-2

The bets on Simmons, Santokie and most unfortunately the one on Badree to be the tournament top wicket taker lost. Badree had a shot at this at 33-1 if the West Indies finalled

Anyway, we currently have a profit of £82 on the portfolio of T20WC bets

AB DeVilliers needs a big innings or two to win the top SAfrican bet £20 at 9-2

and of course, thanks to Gherkin, we have £25 at 6-1 on Sri Lanka to win the whole thing. They will be underdogs to India, favourites against South Africa.

the other semi-final is tomorrow, the final is on Sunday

even if both bets lose we'll be in profit on the Tournament

that final will be the last game in this format for Malinga, Jayawardene and Sangakkara, three fantastic players. I hope they win, irrespective of our bet.

Afternoon hector, & thank you.

We got 2.64 with Betfair, which I think is about a milli-squilli-nadge better than 6/4 allowing for Commish.
