In the snooker, terrific comeback by Neil Robertson to go through to the semis. Trump had the game pretty much sewn up, but got frozen out by Neil, and seemed to lose his way.

100 100s as well, which they were saying in the commentary box may never happen again.

Seems a bit poor sportsmanship by Judd not to at least give an applause, just sat there miserable.

Maybe his piles were playing up, Ray.

Have to say, I did think Neil's celebration during the frame, at such a crucial stage of the World Quarter-Final, was a bit ott, but he is Australian, so cannot really be expected to exhibit class.

If you were Judd, you'd probably be a bit miffed, too, as it looked like he had Roberston all wrapped up earlier in the match. Judd does appear to be a little mentally fragile though.

Trump hates Robertson for playing slowly against him to upset Trumps rhythm in a match a few years ago and he again played slowly in this game. Trump clearly thinks his oppos should be playing to suit him and not them, couldn't be arsed to even acknowledge a tremendous achievement  and became more surly as the pressure got to him.

And the other guy has no class?

Surely only one of them owns the problem here?

Think Trump went over an hour without potting a ball last night, isn't that an amazing session of match play snooker at the business end by Robbo. Or did ah diddums Trump think it was out if order that nasty man didn't let him pot some balls really fast and let him win. :-)

You've ignored the possibility that his piles were playing up.

The Aussie thing was just a jibe, obv.

Where's your money Robertson/Selby?

Before the pro answers...

I'm surprised at how much of a clear favourite Robertson is. Betfair has NR to win @ 1.56, Selby + 4.5 frames 1.44. I just don't see it, think they are a lot closer in ability than that suggests and would defo be on Selby's side for value (as well as just Selby to win @ 7/4).

I doubt I will have another bet on the matches Rich as they look pretty str8 forward betting heats going forward. Will prob just sweat my outright bet on.

Haven't been too impressed by Selby so far, given too many chances up when in the balls against two players that were not in great potting form in their games(should have been nailing White to the floor in the first game really) and Carter who isn't really a guy that's going to consistently put up big breaks against you. He now gets the guy that's put up 100 centuries this year so I think it's going to be a good match play game and Robbo might just score better when he gets in than Selby does. Not sure Selby should be quite as big as 17/10 tho but I haven't bet it.

Surprised Selby as big a price as he is.  These two are serious heavy hitters in the game behind Ronnie and it should be an awesome game.  Surely it's time for Selby to step up at the World's he has all the other titles in the hod (3 Masters and a UK).  Always been amazed how badly relatively he has performed at Sheffield over the years.

Of course, come 2pm Saturday, it'll be "on their backs".

Weird that the games all start at 12.15?

Hawkins gets a 500 point start against Ronnie on the spreads.  I know it's a longer match and this could go wrong, but fancy Hawkins to make a match of this.  13-3 against Murphy resulted in Ronnie winning by 630 points or so.

Selby gets about 270 points against Robbo for anyway interested.  Might sell them both and cover my eyes.

I hope that's a good runner for you Rich,I'm looking forward to this game more than any of the previous matches. Should be a good mix of all aspects of the game. Trump can watch it as he plays pool with his mates :-) and moans about how the guy that's won a whole more tourneys than he has doesn't let him play properly.

Touché TK.
