Tighty can console himself with the fact that there is at least one thing he's better at than everyone else in the UK.

Unless getting angry at Alan Pardew is a thing then I can't say that Wink

Shame we didn't connect with that requested back of Iceland on Betty at four point whatever it was.

Have to add that one to the near-miss file. 9/4 this morning. SP would have been 6/4 had there been one. All about the valoo though obv.

Mr T.

I think Almagro should be a decent favourite against the angry Scot tomorrow.

Suggest £22 on Almagro  @ 11/10 with Paddy Power.

Good news on the Nishikori bet, he won today in straight sets and then Wawrinka got knocked out. Nishikori should be down to about 8-1.

Thanks hector.

Good news on Nishikishi.

I assume you meant £20 @ 11/10, and that is what we have bet.

"After speaking to "people who know" Texans GM Rick Smith, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport tweeted late Sunday that he "no longer believe(s) it's a certainty" Houston uses the No. 1 overall pick on Jadeveon Clowney.
SI's Peter King, who wrote two weeks ago that people close to Smith believe the Texans' general manager prefers Khalil Mack over Clowney, chimed in on Twitter Sunday, writing "I should say I absolutely don't know who Houston will pick. But I hear the same as Ian." Rapoport added the Texans are "willing to trade" -- which we already knew -- but also called Mack "a name to watch this week," perhaps as a sleeper to go No. 1 overall. On Friday, ESPN's Adam Schefter stated on SportsCenter, "I do not believe Khalil Mack can be dismissed from the conversation at the No. 1 pick." If Clowney slipped to the Rams at No. 2, St. Louis would almost certainly auction the selection to the highest bidder."

the betfair price on mack has crashed to 6.6 from 17 an hour ago

i tried to get thread on mack at 16-1 with lads but couldn't get anything on.  no account details for 888/unibet

for any late nighters who want at least a trade before the price tumbles, the uk fixed odds markets can be had whilst they are asleep

http://www.oddschecker.com/american-football/nfl-specials/nfl-draft/first-pick

Odds on Mack are 4/1 with Lads and Hill, 5/1 with Coral,  around 3/1 on Betfair at the moment.

The odd thing is that Boyle still have him at 12/1.

Almost certain that the Palace handicap place is good.  Think a point was enough if Hull didn't win every game and they can't catch Liverpool now.

Just checked the figures.  The only team that can catch Liverpool are Everton.

Nobody can stop Palace finishing top 3.  The best Southampton and Stoke can do is finish a point behind them.

Hull (currently 7th) and Newcastle (9th) can't get top 4.   Cardiff have been gone for a while.

I didn't bet this or almost any of the Palace stuff Ant has put up but I do think this is a good opportunity to give him praise for his work this year.  I don' think it is insulting to say that he realises that there is only one area he has enough expertise in to contribute to Fred and he gets a bit of (good natured) grief for his posts sometimes but he is pretty objective when it comes to his team and he knows them inside and out and is happy to bet both for and against them.  Over the years I have found that if you can get a regular football fan to take off their rose tinted spectacles then their opinions are invaluable about their team.  We are lucky that we have a few on here that fit into that category (Chompy on Posh, Tighty on Leicester,  Jeff on Newcastle, a few on Forest, 2 Ricks on Sheff Weds etc etc) but Ants are the best of the lot and he deserves a lot of credit for the time he has put into Fred and the objectivity he brings to his analysis and I really hope he has got the lot this year.   Cheers and look forward to hearing more from you next year.

I don't know Ant outside of the forum, but I think he is an absolute hero, and his posting style, although long-winded, is absolutely top drawer. As you said, he is supremely knowledgeable on all things Palace, and has even thrown a few other lower/non league coups up too.

I know he likes a bet, so no doubt he will deservedly be collecting a lump from the enemy at the weekend Cheesy
