I posted this elsewhere last night, but should do nicely for a question. Who's the fan with his new Johnny Manziel
shirt
jersey?

I'm going to say LeBron because he's from Cleveland.

Two for tonight
Mathews v Gethin - Interesting domestic lightweight scrap (well it is for me anyway). Mathews has been around for years and had a topsy turvy career. He has a lot of miles on the clock and has shown signs that he is on the downgrade in his recent fights. He didn't win a round against Tommy Coyle before sparking him with a one punch knockout in the 10th. He then stopped a weight drained Woodhouse before losing a wide decision to Stephen Ormond in his last outing although he did suffer damage to both hands in that fight. Gethin hasn't fought at the same level, only once stepping up in class against Ammeth Diaz and was exposed getting stopped in 7. Diaz >>>>>>> Mathews so I'm not overly worried by that. What I like here is Gethin's workrate. Mathews really struggled with Ormond who fought at a high tempo and I expect Gethin to adopt similar tactics. If Mathews is on the downgrade then I can see Gethin nicking a win on the cards. Mathews is a deserved favourite but I have it closer than the bookies and the 15/8 with Bwin is a bet recommend £30.
Stiverne v Arreola - Stiverne won their first fight as a big dog giving Arreola a beating for much of the first fight. Arreola is generally fat and lazy and he probably underestimated Stiverne who had a very average CV, added to that he suffered a broken nose early. I expect Arreola to be more competitive this time but the nature of the victory was such that I can't see there being a different outcome this time as Stiverne had the edge in all departments. I like the 7/4 on Stiverne to win on points again. Recommend £40.

De Boer out to 7/4 to be spurs boss. Pochettino now in to the same price.
Would be surprised if either came but definitely be more surprised if de Boer went now. Levy doesn't seem to like people that try to control the press. That's the impression from the sofa, anyway. Fun to hear the Sunday Supplement lads bemoaning spurs' management of the press the other day. The toys some distance from the perambulator there.
Catalyst for Pochettino going would be if he's told the squad is being sold to the highest bidder. Any views, So'ton fans?
I will be shocked if Lallana and Shaw are Saints players next year. I would also be fairly certain Mr Pochettino will be on his way as well this Summer.
I watched the Saints Players Awards this year which Lallana won everything - goal of the season, players player, player of the season etc. His speech made it very clear to everyone that it appeared a deal had been done. He seemed very subdued, and gave a huge sigh when asked the big 'will you still be here next season' question. 'I have loved my time at the club'... etc I expect a deal has already been done.
I am less fussed about Shaw - he is decent but Lallana is world class now so is a big loss. Shaw will likely end up going for more money than Lallana which is ridiculous.
2/1 Pochettino with Coral to be next Spurs manager looks very inviting to me.

Anyone like the idea of backing Blue Hussar for The Derby, was very taken by the manner of his victory on first run, and seems to fit trends for the race pretty well. Will obv shorten significantly for a good run in 2.55 lingfield today, so suggest trying to get matched on BF at high 60's with a view to hopefully trading our stake back later.
Also offsets with our Aidan O'Brien no classic winners position? (I Think Fred is on)

Seeing as there is a Spurs-Saints tag team here, and deBoer looks a lot less likely etc etc

I'll second the Stiverne rec having already bet it. Like Bazza said it's hard to imagine tonight's fight being substantially different from the first encounter.
Btw this is for the WBC title vacated by Vitali Klitschko. The new champion was due a mandatory defence against the winner of Mike Perez v Bryant Jennings, only yesterday our boy Perez pulled out with a shoulder injury. It's a shame from a betting perspective as I expected a complete rik in that fight.

Just noticed odds drifted on Lambert to make England squad with just one firm.. Coral. They are 5/4 about what most consider an 8/11 shot or even much much shorter in many spots.
Seems like a must bet surely as Roy's 4th striker. Odds against? Really?
again, feedback welcome
Lambert should be odds-on shouldn't he?
or are there complications from Carroll/Wckham etc?
5/4 gone now. Best is Evs. Many have it priced 8/13, 1/2 and other various odds on prices. I think it is still a bet but 5/4 was more attractive.

BOOM, 1-1.
Can't remember how much we bet, or who put it up, but well done, happy days.

Had a howler yesterday at Wimbledon, read a few races way wrong. Happens, was a tough night. Hather George was rather unfortunate, looked to be going strong round the third but just denied space and same with the run in.
