Tighty knew!

Tighty is to NFL drafts what Kate Moss is to catwalks.

Mr Suit,

PP have an offer, If an Italian wins any stage of the Giro then they will refund all losing bets on the winner of that stage.

Is that any good please ?

At first look, I thought this offer can't be any good value wise. But on closer inspection, if one was to focus on just the sprint stages, where Marcel Kittel is the out-and-out favourite to win, it looks a must-bet. The reason for this is that Kittel's two closest competitors are Elia Viviani (Italian) from Cannondale (who is in great form at the moment) and Giacomo Nizzolo (Italian) from Trek Factory Racing. So back Kittel at likely Evens, and then try to fade either Nacer Bouhanni (French) or Ben Swift (British), not forgetting that Ferrari, Petacchi, Chicchi and Puccio are all decent sprinters.

I wouldn't go crazy though, as the rain in Northern Ireland, and today's 90-degree finish, make for wild sprint conditions. If Kittel goes and wins five stages (like he's expected too), it could be a nice risk-averse return. Definitely back him on the sprint stages which are drier and have less complicated finishes.

Stage 2 in the Giro d'Italia finished like this:

1   Marcel Kittel (Ger) Team Giant-Shimano   5:13:12
2   Nacer Bouhanni (Fra) FDJ.fr
3   Giacomo Nizzolo (Ita) Trek Factory Racing
4   Elia Viviani (Ita) Cannondale
5   Roberto Ferrari (Ita) Lampre-Merida
6   Manuel Belletti (Ita) Androni Giocattoli

7   Ben Swift (GBr) Team Sky

Kittel won by three bike lengths, but Bouhanni could end up being a fly in the ointment. Lisa, what are PP's limits for this offer?

£100 per customer.

The offer is NOT available in shops

Is this per market or just £100 refund for the whole of the giro

The t&c's just say £100 per customer but it wouldn't surprise me if it was £100 per customer per stage.

Hector's tennis banzai, in which we have Nishikori outright @ 20/1 (EW), the semi final v Ferrer is just starting, live, on Sky Sports 3.

Tie-break in the 1st Set.......

BOOM!

Nishiwhatsit wins the tie-break.

1-0.

Nishi leads the 2nd Set 5-4.

1-1 now, after Nishi sort of threw away Match Point in an odd way.

Nishi's back is clearly a problem, & so the 3rd Set can't be ideal for him.

Michael Sam bet a winner

Pick 146 just past, and he hasn't been picked yet

Great news Rich, very well done.

Think we had a couple of decent bets on that?

Plenty followed your Recommend too, I imagine.

Poor Bandit, he'll spend all tomorrow walking round Birmingham, collecting.

It was a very easy one to do as the limit was very high in each shop so he didn't have to do too many shops.

He's had a very easy week actually so to make up for it I gave him a Croatian League 1 / FT at 25/1 to do last night. 14 Corals shops lol

At 5-3, Nishi has had SEVEN Match points, but can't seem to seal the deal.

Deuce. Again.

Phew, what a scorcher - Nishi wins, & makes the Final.

We have £10 EW @ 20/1, half odds 1-2, so a nice profit guaranteed, come what may.

Well done hector, thank you.

Great shout Hector, somehow that one managed to evade me, unfortunately.

Good luck in the final everybody that did get on, and I hope you get the full kaboodle!

Evening Mr T.

Nice to have a free roll tomorrow. Should point out that Ferrer beat Nadal when they met a couple of weeks ago, so Nishikori has a chance but Nadal is the most successful clay court player ever. With his victory yesterday Nishikori has become the first Japanese player to break in to the top 10 in the world.
