I thought Mr Speith behaved much better yesterday when things weren't going his way.
I still can't warm to him though.
He is in contention every week but seems to struggle when in the lead.
Yes, all agreed, but I think we must remember his age - not 21 yet.
Kaymer is 30, Garcia 34, & Furyk is 44. These guys have been refining their game, & gathering experience, for many years now. Against them, he is just a bit of a kid, & Furyk is old enough to be his dad.
He has an astonishing talent for one so young, & I'm pretty sure almost any 20 year old Golf Pro on the Circuit should be expected to improve with experience & age.
I think he is great to back for a place or on the spreads for finishing position. Really is up there EVERY week.
I backed him a while ago, but I note he is still available at 12s with Coral for the PGA Money list 1,2,3. He is within touching distance of third at the moment and has the appetite to play as much as anyone.

Ante-post time.
Aljamaaheer is 8/1 for the Duke Of York Stakes in a couple of weeks.
We were lucky to beat him when Hanagan gave him a shocker at Newmarket and there's no reason why York won't be the next target. He's unexposed as a sprinter and has got the potential to start very short.
Recommend £30 win @ 8/1, various spots.

Almost certainly. Plays the same both ways.

I wonder what is value for Southampton to be finishing in the bottom half or even relegation?
They are priced 5/4 to finish bottom half & 16/1 to be relegated.
It looks increasingly likely they are going to lose their the spine of the team & can they really find players to replace Shaw and Lallana?
I would be interested in the 5/4 as you would be assuming that there are only 3 places up for grabs in the top 10.

I would wait till see what happens first if we get away with just losing shaw and lallana we might be ok depending if we can keep the manager and how much of the incoming money he gets to spend we are also getting money from juventus for the striker we loaned/sold them and with tv money we could have around 100 million to spend building more depth to squad rather than just 2 players.
Last season Fred got into bad positions early doors on the saints then were unwilling to change position when saints squad started to develop

The NatWest T20 blast begins on Firday
Last year we had quite a bit of success, Northamptonshire notably and there are a couple of interesting sleepers in this years competition at big prices
-
The format has changed. Now two groups, north and south, each play 14 games. top four from each group through to the quarters, and then four through to finals day
-
Weather will have an impact, especially in the May games, and overseas import availability too
-
The betting market is skewed. Hampshire are in at 5-1 favourites
http://www.oddschecker.com/cricket/natwest-t20-blast/winner
they are usually a strong team, topped the south group last year and have recruited glenn maxwell who is 500 runs and counting in the IPL
--
but the value is elsewhere. this, as i usually say, is a randomising format and whilst this can even out over 14 group games there is still a big luck factor both in games and in schedule
-
I have two ideas for each group. one reasonably fancied and one completely unfashionable and ignored in each
North
Yorkshire 14-1 Ladbrokes
Should be a serious T20 team, semi finals two years ago, inexplicably disappointing last year. Aaron Finch and Kane Wlliamson as overseas singal intent to go for it. Finch superb record in T20 in England. Ballance if he is not in the Test side. Plenty of bowling options, notably one of the top domestic performers Jack Brooks
South
Essex 12-1 Various
Made finals day last year. Power batting to spare : Jesse Ryder, Bopara, Tendo, Napier playing on a small ground. Canny bowlers. Cannot be more than twice the price of Hampshire in my mind.
South
Glamorgan 28-1 Ladbrokes
Almost made the last eight last year in Northamptonshire's group. Jim Allenby is a superb T20 player, captains the side and this is an experienced and under-rated squad in this format. Weather is a concern. Cardiff in May sees a lot of no-results
North
Worcestershire 40-1 Betfred
Completely ignored, completely unfashionable and yet they have chances. Two overseas Saeed Ajmal will win them games on the right wickets. would be doing so in the IPL if Pakistani players played. Mitchell McLenaghan from NZ was seriously impressive in the tournament for Lancashire last year and is very good. Quick, good death bowler. The domestic element of the squad is stronger than generally appreciated, going well in LVCC2 and in Moeen Ali, Mitchell, Kervezee etc they have a line up that is competitive for the overseas bowlers to have a shout
----
I don't mind if you do all four, just the front two or banzai it into the two outsiders. four might be overkill. If I was having one bet Worcestershire would be it. They are outsiders of 18.
Recommendations
Yorkshire £20 e/w 14/1 Ladbrokes
Essex £20 e/w 12/1 Ladbrokes
Glamorgan £10 e/w Ladbrokes (33/1 available at the wrong places)
and
NAP
Worcestershire £50 e/w at 40-1 Betfred
e/w 1/2

As expected, Pochettino is in with the board all day today and, by all accounts, they have tabled a very generous contract extension.
It's now just a waiting game to see whether the lure of Spurs or another will tempt him away. That depends, of course, on how much money he will be given to replace Lallana and Shaw. Getting close to £30 million for Shaw is absurdly good business.
Neither price makes me want to have a bet yet.
If Pochettino leaves and people start mentioning Glen Hoddle then its a max.

Tighty,
That link is for the outright and in the shops Ladbrokes only have the outright market but at the prices you have quoted.
Is it North and South or have I read it wrong please ?
Thanks

I had to do a double-take there Rich, FIFTY QUID EW, lol.
Anyway, three firms are oit of linem, but I can't get much on with any.
PP offered £1.25. No thanks.
Laddies offered £2.50. No ta.
Baldy offered £8 EW, so I took that, & that is all we have so far.
Betty (Exchange) not much help, 33/1 the Win, & no place market formed yet.
So for now, just the £8 EW Worcs, as I can't really take 25/1 when 40/1 is widely available.
Personally, I see no reason why we should not back all 4 selections? Given the knockback on the Nap, I'd need a revised staking plan, presumably.

Lisa,
If you can get some Worcs for Fred in Ladbrokes, I'd be most grateful. We wanted £50 EW, & managed just £8 EW.
I've not started work on the other 3 yet, & may not be ablr to for an hour or two.

Natwest T20 BLAST.
Just reading that stupid, childish name makes my blood boil.
I mean, lets at least retain a vestige of dignity & decorum in cricket.
Next up they'll be wearing coloured shirts, with numbers on the backs, & having bloody exploding bail nonsense.
It used to be so much more refined.
The Home & Colonial County Championship
Oh yes.
